  1. Be very careful mate. Adrian flux were very happy with my valuation on paper. Getting it signed off took 3 weeks and went past the 14 day cooling off period. In the end the decided it wasn't worth 20k and dropped me down to 15k without any say at my end. I opted to cancel but they were going to shaft me for 70% if I did. Absolute crooks, ends of the earth to get you in but once you are..... you're over a barrel.
  2. Have you actually took the covers off and looked though?
  3. Check the dizzy. The misfire would suggest that it's either a spark issue or a timing issue.
  4. Fuel filter is underneath the car at the passenger side behind the wheel. Down near where the clutch slave is.
  5. There's a thread just now where a persons turbo blew twice. Not sure on which turbo it was right enough.
  6. At 7000rpm with the engine chomping air at full chat you would be surprised
  7. And I thought your for sale advert was lazy. If you want opinions on value at the very least put up a picture. Copying and pasting your for sale advert without any more information is just laziness.
  8. If the bearing gets severely damaged shards will go into the oil return. If the compressor gets severely damaged shards will go in the inatake. If the exhaust wheel gets severely damaged shards may end up in the exhaust side of the head. Worst case scenaro your entire engine is scrap along with the turbo. There's also the potential to make the intercooler useless as well.
  9. I'll likely be going with Sky on renewal this year if they're competitive. I made a thread on all the insurers that I could get quotes from last year and ended up with Adrian Flux. They absolutely shafted me on the agreed value so I wouldn't recommend them at all for anyone else.
  10. I understand the logic of the turbos. Make no mistake though, they're pretty crap compared to what can be bought nowadays. However, I completely agree that if you can meet your power goals, drive-ability requirements and don't need replaced every other year then they're a good shout.
  11. Sports devil for definite. Need to make sure you have the latest version installed.
  12. It's been a while but I remember -30 not THAT long ago. Doubt I'd be out in the Supra in that weather though
  13. Is that 100%? I always thought it was 10w30 in Japan due to the hotter climate, whereas the UK Supras were 5w30? I was sure I read that somewhere but it was probably just an assumption.
  14. That sounds WAY too thick to me. Stock is 5w30.
  15. Apologies, I wasn't actually meaning to replicate the HKS. I was more thinking of retaining the same line as the HKS (as it has excellent clearance) but with your own twist on the pipe/baffles/sound/materials etc Great work regardless, looks amazing
  16. I'd be looking at 5w40 or possibly even 5w30 given your circumstances to be honest.
  17. Would a thicker oil help your situation? I certainly wouldn't be using a 10w50 in Canada during the cold months, I'd be aiming more at a 0w30 to be honest. In our oil FAQ it's recommended for us to drop to 5w40 in the Uk when single turbo. I always assumed that was to have the oil a little thinner to move around the system more freely with less friction. Don't base your choice on what I'm saying here, I just want to give you some food for thought.
  18. My BPU dyno'd at 487hp. I can guarantee it wasn't making that power though. How much power a car has and the figure given out on the dyno plot is often apples and oranges. It's a tuning tool to give comparison for mods etc. Using more than one dyno for tuning your car or comparing BHP printouts from cars from different dyno's does nothing. I'd even go as far to say comparing the same dyno on different days was, to an extent, pointless
  19. I doubt he's ridden any 3 legged unicorns either.
  20. Got to love a custom exhaust. Any plans on a 4" version? The HKS Ti is the best fitting exhaust I have ever put on my car and it doesn't hang anywhere near as low as the nurspec.
  21. Full facelift OEM, looks nice. I always thought the face lifts were 6spd
  22. It's in the manual in the home page. You put an ohmmeter across the pins and make sure you see the correct values.
  23. I can just imagine how sweet those would look on a TRD Supra
