  1. Not sure why it's happening. I'm using IE in the work which is a very old version. But I noticed Simon (Caseys) appeared to have the same thing happen with him in a recent thread.http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?248555-Can-t-put-carriage-return-before-a-link-anymoreStill doing it for me?
  2. Has there been a recent update stopping this from being allowed? For some reason I can't put a link in a paragraph/line of it's own. It automatically defaults to the end of the previous line.
  3. Please start using the search mate. Most things you can think of will have been covered in depth. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?247543-How-to-Attach-images-to-a-post-thread.
  4. N/A pre-95 doesn't get a cat test so it'll be fine ;)Even post 95 it's a standard cat test which has reasonable limits.
  5. Yeah that was pretty much what I was thinking/wondering. I have the buckets etc seperate anyway so everything has been cleaned by the previous owner. Shouldn't really have any issues getting them out (I wouldn't have thought anyway) so I'll give it a go. Always handy to have the right tools to hand anyway should I need them
  6. Coolio, I'll give you a shout when I'm going to set about the job. I'll give it a go with the cams in/out method but if it doesn't work for me it'll be good to have the tools to hand rather than having to wait on them. The shims/buckets are all numbered etc. The valves were kept in sequence when having the stem seals done also thanks again
  7. Least you have paranoia in common (e-coli )

    Hey hey

Just me slagging off the Ayreshire lingo, as you're a Geordie it flew over your head though. Fail = Me I'm in Larkhall, Near Hamilton/East Kilbride etc.
  9. Ahh, another title reader who doesn't read any of the posts
  10. I've never understood all the gadgetry involving alarm clocks. It's just an alarm lol. Seems most are more like toys than alarms. Mine looks something like this... http://www.faqs.org/photo-dict/photofiles/list/4802/6325digital_alarm_clock_radio.jpg Had it 7 years and it works a treat.
  11. Everytime you are foliated of course.
  12. Sounds more like the clutch is at the end of its life.
  13. That would be a cracking combo. Why on earth did the owner swap the split rims inside out? Looks ridiculous lol. Having a look at the one on ebay, it looks ideal but it says it isn't a 500 and that it's actually a lookalike based on a 3 door cosworth. Just thought I would mention it in case it matters. Would need to get some proper wheels on it though, the video looks a hoot to drive but absolutely useless for putting any power down.

    Hey hey

Yes but to be honest ours are generally a little smaller. Cudos though
  15. Is the US spec not exactly the same as the UK spec other than LHD? I thought the export models were all the same, engine/power/performance wise.
  16. Not sure what the stipulations are of "track car insurance" but I hope for the best regardless.
  17. If I get down there, I owe you a slap You can diffuse the situation with a pint
  18. Full on track car, or road going track? If it's a road legal track car then he may have insurance for it. In which case I reckon the show stand may be covered under.
  19. Joyride is best case scenario IMO. Few dented panels will be the least of the owners worries. Out of curiosity Nev, what's the deal with the guys insurance? Covered? Just looking for a worst case "happy" ending really.
  20. I'm not going to say any details as I don't want anyone getting ideas, but it is far easier to steal a car for parts than to steal to order (container). Especially where trackers are regarded. I could easily hide a car in a matter of hours with my very very basic knowledge, let alone people who know what they are doing. I fear the worst in this case but I hope the best.
  21. I can honestly say hand on heart that I haven't seen it. I know what you mean though mate
  22. That is a bit of a bargain mate so you did well. Hopefully it will be fairly easy fixes to get it running mint. Tell you what, take some of that money you saved and fly me and the family out for a couple of weeks. I'll sort your car and you can show us the sights
