    Will it shred?

That's magic, reminds me of Hal with his steamroller in malcom in the middle. However, I reckon I could very easily stump it. Any block of decent steel will kill it really.
  2. You should be able to pull around 180 (true speed). If you have a full on 430hp bpu car you should get to around 190 on a long enough straight. Good luck finding one though.
  3. I love making fire. Half a bottle of lighting fluid each time.... minimum. Trouble is you only get about 15 mins out of the coals to actually cook anything when you fuel them so much. Looks purdy though.
  4. This thread is about the boot release though Try to keep it on topic, it's a serious discussion
  5. Totally. I've never had an issue with the 20mph zones, especially the "twenties plenty" zones where the limit is 30 but it's a caution area. Common sense tells you when to take it easy on these roads, it's the idiots that need the speedbumps to wake them up occasionally.
  6. That'll be down to your companies firewall & internet policy. Same for me
  7. Of those options it has to be B3AXR. I take it B3 ARX isn't an option then? Have you definitely exhausted all the options? x83 ARx xx83 ARx xxx8 EAR etc etc. I've got L5OOP which I wanted to read L 5OOP On the back but spacing means it's L5 OOP Might cheat a little in the future though
  8. As above I reckon you will hit a true 150 and a speedo 160ish. Engine will need to be very healthy to hit those speeds though, with as many horses as Toyota first put in there. It'll take a helluva long road to do it on though, much like trying to hit 190 in a bpu. Downhill, with the wind at your back might take a little less time. Had the discussion before but I reckon the car will pull a reasonable 140.
  9. It would appear he is only asking if the people are here who aren't here anymore. If you are here you don't make the grade of the "are you here" list. Pretty sure I saw Pete posting a week or 2 back so he might get cut soon. The world seems to have changed in the past few years in that it now revolves around its axis.
  10. Cheers mate, so potentailly the valves could touch the pistons if you went to far with timing and had really long/high duration cams. But in this particular scenario you have tested full retard and full advance with no touching. Not sure how I missed those replies, must have been in quick succession lol. Cheers

    Worth 28k ?

If he pulled the engine it would be too cluttered for you
  12. Can you have a look at my query John. Not really got an answer on it. I know that interference means that the piston and the valve, at different times, occupy the same space. Surely if you altered the timing too much one way, too much the other way or increased the lift by too much there would be a chance of them hitting?
  13. I know that. When the timing belt snaps the timing is lost so when the valve is down there is a chance that the piston will be up. This is why I asked if the timing options are limited. Ie, if you add to much timing do you risk the piston being at TDC while the exhaust valve is out fully.

It is a bargain to be honest, I would definitely question the power though. I understand that the 38GK is capable of that power, but does that turbo look that size to you Jamie? Might just be the photo putting me off, along with the likes of yourself and a few others putting up pictures of your turbos and they look far bigger.

Turbo looks small for 1000hp IMO.
  16. Pretty sure Rob already did that with them but I'll be stripping it all down so will check it. Good advice with the oil, will probably do that regardless
  17. 07 according to your profile. Makes no difference when you paid, the join date is when you created your profile.
  18. I wouldn't fancy standing in front of that on the dyno lol. Looks mental, can't wait to see how it runs.
  19. Does running interference (sounds like American Football) mean that the timing options are limited then?
  20. Na, only about 1.5k saving. Not worth the hassle
