  1. Don't know if it helps but I haven't updated tapatalk for months and it isn't working for me either. I'm definitely not using the latest version.
  2. http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m54b0s531p0 Google is a modern marvel, can even use it for searching
  3. Raven you say. Maybe the old guy was napping, when gently he came rapping, and so faintly started tapping, tapping at his unfilled wall? I must admit if that's the case I can see the old boys point.
  4. I was just about to put the same. Ask them if that would be the case if it was a pedestrian. In the eyes of the law not paying attention is a serious offence. Don't take it lying down mate, they will do anything to avoid paying out... honestly. Have you asked if they are paying out on his car? If they are, and not paying out on yours, that is definitely NOT on. If they aren't, get a hold of the guy and see what he wants to do, he might want to say he was at fault in order to get his car repaired for him.
  5. That's what I meant by "even the emissions"
  6. It isn't an act of god that he hit the thing ffs. Put it back into their corner that if the driver had been paying attention he would have been able to quite easily avoid the accident. It was the drivers negligence that caused the accident, not the fact that there was an animal in the road.
  7. Don't go direct, check out parcels2go.com or somewhere like that. Senditnow is who I tend to use when I can.
  8. Why? It was his error. Don't take no for an answer, they are all chancers.
  9. I don't see the issue then to be honest. In your situation I would probably let the police know to be honest. If you were doing it on the side it's one thing but to take that sort of stick in a professional level isn't on IMO. Just tell them what was said, on the off chance of hassle more than anything.
  10. I was always under the impression that you had to fudge the figures to get a pass, or have a friendly MOT tester. So your single passed a legitimate cat test? Did you have a sports cat in or something?
  11. Some of those were breathtaking. Awesome video
  12. Of course having aftermarket wheels invalidates your insurance. Having any modifications done to your car that aren't factory standard is classified as a mod. If you phone up the insurance company and tell them you have aftermarket 17" alloys then there is no stopping you from changing to different 17" alloys without telling them, but that's where the line is drawn. You need to notify the DVLA of the change, that simply changes the details of the car on record. A note is put on the cars registration to inform anyone checking that it is now a 6spd. Your V5 document is only a summary of the information on the car. There are notes on there, including previous registration numbers etc. If you simply insured the car as a 6spd, when it wasn't a factory 6spd, you would be in a world of trouble if a claim came about. Where has all the common sense gone?
  13. Some of those were a true inspiration.
  14. Thems the rules though John, they are written in black and white and anyone can feel free to take a crack at it. You asked about the UFC, not the other organisations. The best in the UFC is not necessarily the best in the world, just the best in the UFC. If there are no official rules for running a street car then there are no official world records. If there are rules for certain countries, and certain events.. then fine. You can be the fastest in that country given those rules, and the fastest at that event given those rules but you cannot claim to be the fastest in the world as other people in the world are restricted by different rules. Edit: It would seem there may be a gap in the market here, a world class of street drag would be ideal.
  15. I know there are a few people on here who enjoy magic so thought I would point this show out. Just seen an advert for it on ITV, starting on Saturday. Really enjoyed the first episode of this back in January, it's fresh enough to bring magic back to TV IMO. Anyway, if you like magic then it's the show for you. It's also the show for you if you like to see failure, because they often do.

    Cup o' chino

Must have costa lot that coffee.
  17. UFC - Cain Velasquez Boxing - There are a few I don't see the comparison though. All fighters are checked prior to the fight for having anything to aid them in the fight, wouldn't be the first time someone has removed the stuffing from their gloves. Also there is performance enhacing drugs tests etc. Yes you see the victory on tv but it is strictly governed and in order to become one of those champions you are under the same ruling which is in black and white. In order to beat the best you need to be the best, not buy better tyres and say "road legal" in the video heading.
  18. So as far as the fastest road legal car in the world goes, and the fastest jap road legal car in the world goes, nothing is actually official? It's all just youtube and timeslips? Edit: Oh and take the owners word for it with no checks/testing? I'm not trying to be clever here by the way, I honestly don't know and it seems mental to me if this is the case.
  19. Have we figured out what the official world record is yet? I'm still none the wiser
  20. No bother, just seemed like you were putting forward counter arguments against what I was saying so thought you weren't following me
  21. Is that the official world record? Like guiness world record or whatever holds the official 1/4 mile records?
  22. I totally accept and agree with both of your points of view. I'm not disagreeing, what I'm saying is that Stuart is wanting to know what the official world record cars are running as far as rubber goes. The link that JP put up shows one with a faster time than, apparently, the official world record. Surely that can only be put down to the tyres or the fact that the car didn't pass a particular test? I know "road legal" doesn't mean road car, come on guys lol... give me some credit I was trying to clarify Stuarts query as it seemed to get lost in translation. In this discussion Stuart is only after official record cars and what the constraints are for the records
  23. Yeah, PM me your email address and I'll send you a program that will make it VERY easy for you. The avatar picture won't work unless it's a specific size, it will need shrunk too
