  2. My Wife is trying to win a competition on the "Glasgow great deals" facebook page. The person with the most 'likes' wins. Any chance the facebookers of the forum could firstly "like" the glasgow great deals page in order to access it then "like" my Wifes comment. http://www.facebook.com/glasgowsgreatdeal Her name is Charlene McGilvery Thanks.
  3. Aim for 1bar in 2nd gear, that will hit around 1.1bar in 5th at WOT. Then simply use the boost controller to up the boost to a nice linear 1.2bar. Don't go any lower than 1bar with the RR as you don't want to go to all the hassle of removing the cats to lower the EGTs only to restrict the system too much raising them again.
  4. Already got SSH sorted on it, it's useless as all the files I would actually want to transfer either don't work or they get saved to the SSH apps folder, rather than something simple like "My pictures" where the photos app can access. Granted I can convert and transfer them but trying to convert MKV into a working format is proving difficult, I got it working great but the resolution was mental (even though I set it to copy the original). With the time taken to convert, the extra 5 mins it takes to transfer isn't really an issue so SSH isn't as useful as it could be.
  5. Just read up on it and it's not what I'm after, nothing will play the files I am after and for the photos I want to use the standard photo app. Jailbreaking the Ipad is like buying the best mac you can buy and running windows on it because the OS sucks. It basically shows how bad IOS on the ipad actually is, you have to jailbreak the thing and install unverified tweaks to make it useful and get rid of the awful iTunes lol. I'll grin and bear it, really unimpressed. Funny you don't hear about all these negative aspects of these devices on here, the owners tout them like they are the dogs biscuits. If they got an Android phone, and viewed it in an unbias nature, their eyes would really open up, granted they aren't as slick to look at and certain aspects aren't as smooth, but they are infinitely more useful and far far easier to do what you bloody well want with.
  6. Give me examples. Does it let me access the harddrive properly? How does it help with the video issues? As I say i've tried 3 different players and none of them will play most of my AVI files (picture but no sound, even on some MP3 encoded ones).
  7. I have an Ipod Touch, an Ipad but I went with HTC for the phone. The Iphone is good, but it's too restricted for my liking, much the same as the trouble I'm having with the ipad. Basically the ipad is just a big ipod touch/iphone. I must admit that I thought they would have got the finger out and turned it into a full on media tablet, that was the main reason I bought it. Don't get me wrong I'll get over the hurdles OK, I just wasn't expecting this much work. I thought it would be good to go out of the box. I can't send photos over bluetooth. Even though I've downloaded an app that lets me join my network and share my network files, I can't actually do anything with them as the video won't play and the photos save to the apps location rather than the ipods photo location. What a job I could do for Apple.
  8. With the way you guys rave about this thing I was expecting a flawless media experience. It's anything but to be honest. Itunes is so restrictive it's nigh on useless when it comes to actually using anything I want. I can't just copy pictures onto it, I need to sync with a particular folder. This means that I have to have a seperate folder for pictures that I want on my Ipad. Useless no.1 When I eventually get my pictures on there, I can't order them anyway I want to. I am stuck with them in date order..... and even worse than that reverse date order. I have some lovely pictures of my little girl that I would enjoy watching (from birth till now) but everytime I try that it's like watching the curious case of Iris. Useless no.2 It can only play about 2 types of video. No compatibility for Avi, Mkv, WMV, etc. The japanese £30 copies can do more than this thing can on that front. I know, I know, you can get programs to view the different file types on. I've tried 3 now, and paid for all 3, and they are absolutely hopeless. Cannot play AC3 so I need to convert anything I want to watch anyway. Useless no.3 I made an email today and wanted to attach a picture.... can't be done. That's clever, the only way to send a picture in an email is to select the picture first and send it in an email, from there you can put in the text etc. Anymore than 3 pictures and computer says no though. Useless no.4 There are LOADS of little annoyances about this device. It could be so good if Apple actually took any interest in what the consumer wants, it can't be that hard to update the software to make it really useful. I bought this thing to watch videos, store music and store my pictures. I don't want to store all my pictures so I'm stuck with creating a seperate folder, I have 3 copies of the same file between my PC and my Ipad If I want to watch a movie I need to convert it. At least with the music I can just transfer it over and forget about it by turning the syncing off. Anyway, not impressed. Please stop raving about how good the ipad and the iphone are, almost wish I had bought an android now
  9. If a lot of the money doesn't trade hands back the way I would be getting in touch with trading standards. That is absolutely shocking, the live connected into a fuse cup is just dangerous and asking for trouble. Not surprised the place is having problems if that's the standards they work to. I wouldn't take my car there to have my tyre inflated.
  10. Flippin heck, that's REALLY pricey. I would have guessed around half that money for labour if I'm honest. Definitely have a look at doing it yourself. Probably cost you around £400 in parts & tools.
  11. Titanium goes up similar to magnesium and is harder to put out. It needs a spark for it to react, not just heat like magnesium.
  12. Not yet. Decided to ditch vodafone so I'm having to wait till the end of the month for the sensation to be available on tmobile. Was going to bump the thread once it's ready to go.
  13. I would recommend taking the hit on petrol and taking the car to a trader from here. They all know the job inside out so will be more cost effective. If you take it to any competent garage they will be able to do it fine but will be learning the job as they go for the most part. They will all have done similar jobs obviously, but having first hand experience on the supra is a must for me.
  14. I know this is a bit of a side note, but is there not a chance of a titanium fire with all that scraping? I'm surprised the use titanium for skid pans. Maybe different drom the titaniums I'm used to working with. Also I guess a chunk of titanium won't spark as much as cuttings lol.
  15. Ahh the uk spec vs spec, yeah there are a few small differences yeah. You confused me as you quoted my uk spec vs us spec post.
  16. Did you mean to quote me? I didn't mention cams.
  17. Ahh, cheers Johnny. Just tried my thumb over it and it did nothing. It's on auto too. Maybe it's timed or something.
  18. As above really. Just got it and noticed a little optic or something on the top centre. Is it for a remote? At first glance it's almost like a mini webcam lens but that's an iPad 2 feature I thought? The cover I'm using also has a hole there. Thanks.
  19. Ahh the quiet before the storm. Or quite before the storm as some seem to write.
  20. That looks like hard work but a good job to do IMO. Look forward to seeing the finished article.

    Dundee

I went ice skating in Dundee many years ago. That's about all I know of the place lol. Aberdeen is decent for a few nights, been there with my mate before and enjoyed it. As you're just looking for something to do Perth might not be a bad shout, it's not much to see to be honest but the drives all around there are lovely.
  22. That's very impressive. Well done John, here's to the next 22 years of blackbelts.
  23. I'm definitely going for dbb. Not sure if it will make a great deal of difference but as said, every little helps. Unless trying to build a car on a budget I would always recommend dbb. I was looking at the batmo stuff but I really want dbb and as far as I know they aren't available yet?
