  1. Some of those are funny as heck. The makita drill was a peach
  2. PS I can't believe you don't know how to spell Scott
  3. I don't have the tools on the iPad either. Think they are java related though as I don't get them in work either.
  4. I think you need to change the cruise control ECU to a UK one. The UK one doesn't have a limit as far as I remember
  5. Thanks guys, she is catching up with your help. Keep it up for me pleaseeeeee.
  6. I had to google it lol. See I don't agree at all here. As a media device it isn't great due to the lack of media support. It's good as an apple media device but apple really need to branch out a bit so that the thing works better out the box. In my opinion it is a fashion icon that sells, hence the high sales figures. Loads of people seem brainwashed into thinking it's great too. These people aren't high end users in my opinion, as high end users would see the restrictions in place. Also 80% Abz? And you say you work in IT lol. Come on be serious here. You are lucky if you can do 10% IMO. The browser is the best I have used on a handheld device, it's also the best on-screen keyboard I have used on a touchscreen device. But it in no way does even close to what a laptop is capable of. The possibilities of a laptop are endless, this thing stops on page one before you are clutching at straws with "beer drinking" apps. And the list of things it can do are themselves limited, as I have pointed out. There is no doubt that apple have moved the game on. Other makers have had the kick up the backside too which is also upping the game. If this thing was running android it would be almost perfect, but android has it's glitches too. The flash doesn't really bother me to be honest. I'm sure it will come up from time to time but I can live without it.
  7. I don't hate it, in fact I quite like it Lol. I'm more pointing out the annoyances of the device and how I was expecting more given the people raving about it and the iPhone. This thread is me pointing out the negatives and my disappointment at how many there are, the positives are fairly apparent and well covered by the fanbois
  8. I did think about it but the 10+ hours battery life is absolutely fantastic. I'll get used to the crap setup, I'm happy enough with it as a piece of hardware and it will do what I need it to do. It's definitely a fashion thing though, because a techy toy it certainly isn't. My gripe is all the apple fans who tout this thing as the digital lord and saviour. There are lots of major flaws in the os and countless minor ones. It has no versatility at all.
  9. Flipping heck. That's ridiculous lol. I held it and a grey box appeared, thought it was that but didn't work so tried touching and instantly flicking..... It worked. Crazy setup but at least it works now, thanks.
  10. Doesn't work. The only way I could get it to scroll was to hold my finger on the text so that the magnifying glass came up, from there I dragged it down. What an absolute farce this thing is.
  11. The only way I have been able to attach pictures is by going into them and selecting send, then selecting the ones I want to add to the email. For some reason if you go into email, then you want to compose, you can't add attachments. Mental IMO. I must admit I haven't tried it on my iPad. A guy I work with had it in and came to me for help as he wanted to send his friend some pictures. He spent HOURS writing the email (literally) then couldn't work out how to attach. He brought it to me and I thought it would be straight forward, after a lot of head scratching I gave up and went to google where I found it couldn't be done with the stock email app. After faffing around with it some more I found that you could email pictures from the gallery, soooooo I copied the text from his email and then created a new email from the gallery selecting a number of pictures. When the email came up the pictures didn't show. If I selected a small amount (2 or 3) it was fine, but if I went with what he wanted (10) it just wouldn't show them. Absolutely hopeless IMO. I'll be using it for viewing my emails, and the odd reply, but there is no way on earth this thing is a laptop replacement. Thanks for the tip by the way, I'm off to try it
  12. Trying to reply to you I just found another gripe...... Anyone any idea how to scroll in a reply box? If the text is larger than the box I have no way to reply. Fortunately in this case Ian's post fitted just inside the "go advanced" window. Anyway Ian I can't see anything being as restrictive as this. It's like buying a brilliant keyboard but only allowed to use one finger to type. Some really nice touches ruined by ridiculous barriers.
  13. Good read that Mario. I didn't know the reason the uk sales stopped in 96.
  14. Oh no there is nothing wrong with them, I have the same wheels. Will be a good buy for someone. By special I meant I thought I was going to see custom or new jade r with a big dish lol.
  15. Thought I was going to see something special there. They aren't deep dish bud, they have no dish
  16. Scott

    Lower Rad Pipe

You can't get these in red can you Lee?
  17. The problem is that I have around 12000 pictures, most of which I don't want on my iPad. They are also huge (some 8mb) so I dont want to take up loads of room for the sake of a 9 inch screen. If I were to sync with my pictures the iPad would be full and I would be waiting all day lol. I therefor create a separate folder and put in the pictures I want on there, I then drop the res a bit to bring the file size down. This means I have an original copy of the pictures, a smaller copy of the pictures on my pc and obviously the copy on the iPad. On the android you plug in the USB, browse to the pictures and drag and drop what you want. You can also send by Bluetooth or access the network to copy wirelessly. It's a difficult transition moving to the ipad I can assure you lol.
  18. That's how it's looking to me to be honest. I'm not an Apple hater, but I'm not a lover either. I just buy whatever product suits my needs best. With HTC it feels as if I choose what I need, with Apple it feels like they are making the choices for me. Granted I'm only comparing the 2 as it is the 2 choices I have experience with, there will be a raft of options out there. On the plus side, I just found a program called OPlayer HD, it's played everything I have thrown at it so far (non HD). It seems to cope very well so the future is looking less bleak lol. Limitations are 800x600 for non xvid and 1280x720 for xvid. I can honestly live with that, I'm not after HD in my palm, I just want to be able to download and play with minimal fuss. HD is for my big TV, it's hardly going to be represented on a handheld.
  19. Thanks folks Yeah, that girl has a head start though. She just started an hour or so ago, hoping to pull it back Will be fun trying anyway.
  20. Let's put it this way. I'm getting dinner and the place will be FULL of chicks dressed to impress the take that boys. Doesn't sound like a bad night does it?
  21. She's going on the Thursday mate The prize includes dinner etc, asked me if I would go I said yes. I wouldn't pay to see take that but if tickets were won I wouldn't mind seeing the show
  22. I've never done a bog, but I'll give anything a go once. My beer belly's too big for that job unfortunately.
