  1. That IS rather awesome looking
  2. Have to disagree. I would see it more like a junkie moving into an exclusive estate. Imagine working hard all your days, saving up for a nice house in a nice neighbourhood and the likes of Jordan moving in next door rich and famous due to being a tart. If it were me, for sale signs would be up the next day (on my property). Same would go for the veyron. I could never be associated as being part of the same exclusive club as someone like her........ not to mention the daft tart painting it pink.
  3. Yeah you're right, sorry lol. The 2 hole gaskets should be the same though. Not sure which gasket goes from the n/a header tbh.
  4. I always use gaskets. My decats were supplied with them also. If you are using a restrictor ring you will need one for either side of it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-universal-subaru-pulsar-skyline-supra-exhaust-gasket-/280716083688?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item415bfb81e8 Not sure what the 1st decat gasket looks like. I think it's something like this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-Bolt-Pin-Triangle-Exhaust-Gasket-Flange-2-5-63mm-/230635484728?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35b2f23638 I couldn't find any 3" ones though.
  5. You need gaskets as well as the firegum bud.
  6. Thanks guys, I'll keep plugging away. Noone is getting close to Direct Line so I might need to bite the bullet unfortunately. Thankfully I have 2 13 year policies, I'll keep the other one full for the Supra Oh, I tried Aviva.... again couldn't get close to Direct Line.
  7. I've been trying for the past 2 hours to get through to these guys for a quote. Is it normally this difficult? Phone either rings constantly or comes up with engaged tone. Even at that I think the engaged tone is due to someone trying to ring through at the same time as me and not actually because someone has answered. Not filling me full of confidence at the moment, heaven forbid I actually had an accident and was with them Admiral has seriously let me down this year. Fortunately I'm not insuring the Supra at the moment but even with the boring cars they have rocketed. Direct line are coming in with the best quote but I'm not so sure about losing out on 5 years no claims next year (currently have 13 and they only ever issue 9). Any other suggestions for run of the mill cars? 2004 Focus 1.8 zetec £2k value 10k miles and 2006 Mondeo 2.2 TDCI ST £6k value 10k miles. I've tried a few comparison sites and they can't touch direct line so I'm now using the walkie talkie with numbers on it.
  8. Sounds about right for a custom exhaust to be honest. Ask them if they use off the shelf silencers or if they custom make those too. If it's the latter it's a good price, if it isn't I would be worried about them using the same old tat they fit to corsas. Be careful though, the exhaust will be worth buttons on the 2nd hand market. If you want a new exhaust go branded, 2nd hand will be fine, or go with the
  9. Draw...across the terminals? To check your current draw remove the terminal and stick the multimeter in between the earth cable and the battery terminal. Just don't start the car or anything like that or you will melt your meter and god knows what. 10A is the max for most wired meters.
  10. If you can do the head studs for £100 posted I'll have them
  11. Surely the CD player installation has to be the fault then? Some stereo brands swap the +ive and the Ign+ wires, try switching the red and yellow wires at the back and see if the issue goes away. I had this issue years ago with my vectra, got the PC12 plug to keep the controls working and they were the wrong way around.
  12. You're thinking about this issue all wrong bud. Unless really gubbed (shorted) the alternator won't have anything to do with your issue. When it doesn't charge... it doesn't automatically drain the battery. You are looking for a drain on the system. Has the problem been happening long? How long have you had the car? Have you had anything recently installed? Any audio equipment other than stock? You need to help us to help you, give as much information as you can
  13. Fat stock is subtle yet purposful like JPs. I'm giving up... but before I go... Aggressive - hostile, offensive, destructive, belligerent, unkind, unfriendly, malevolent, contrary, antagonistic, pugnacious, bellicose, quarrelsome, inimical, rancorous, ill-disposed
  14. I like kittens. Nothing to do with this thread though is it
  15. Have a look at the submissions bud, 95% of forum members clearly don't even know the meaning of aggressive
  16. In your opinion, a lot of people... including myself... would disagree.
  17. Pfft, how can it be considered aggressive when dogs wee all over it?
  18. You're battery isn't holding a charge. Change the battery..... job done.
  19. Absolute bargain with the rails, can't believe they are still here to be honest
  20. Definitely catches up with you. In my late teens early 20s if I felt rough the next day I would be fine by the afternoon. Mid 20s it was later in the day before I felt OK and even then I would still be a little shakey. Now if I get a proper hangover I can still feel the effects for a couple of days. Not really a hangover as such (no sore head or feeling sick) just a feeling where I know I have had a drink. Not really sure if it makes any difference but in my teens/early 20s I was out at the dancing giving it some most of the night. In my mid 20s it was more sitting around with a little bit of jigging. Nowadays I generally don't move off my backside. I'm guessing that most people will be in the same boat, so perhaps that is where it comes from rather than actually being to do with getting older.
  21. Your body is ignoring the water as that's not what it's after. Salt, Sugar or both is what it will be craving.
  22. Obviously not Get yourself around 2l of Irn Bru (if you like it), coke is a reasonable substitute but not quite on the same level. Make sure you drink it in a day, feel free to drink water too as I know it can give you a sticky throat. Get yourself a mince pie with shortcrust pastry, peas, chips and cover it with salt. Get that lot down you and I guarantee you will feel LOADS better. I generally don't get hangovers unless I really leather the drink (20 pints or so) but I think that's down to me getting the munchies after a good knees up. I always head to the local indian for a kebab, chips & cheese and a bottle of bru. Years ago my pre-emptive strike would be 2 boxes of micro chips covered in salt and 2 pints of Irn-Bru before bed. Next day I was fresh as paint..... although probably still a little drunk
  23. Irn Bru & something with high salt content will cure what ails you. I've also found Powerade to do a decent job of re-hydrating. I don't like water (no really). Ideally you want to get your sugar levels up a bit too hence why I recommend the well known hangover cure (Irn Bru). I don't know the medical reason for this but, even though salt is bad for you, your internals don't like your body running low on sodium. Obviously you sweat a lot more when you are drinking (salt & water go bye bye) and the alcohol in the beverages make you wee a lot so you tend not to hold of what you are drinking (hence the dehydration). Replenishing all these things to the levels they should be is really the only way to shift a hangover. Make up your own system but Irn Bru, Scotch Pies & chips with salt will always have you right as rain within hours
