Usually a base map is available from the supplier. From there it's tweaking to get it all running perfect. If starting from scratch I imagine it would be a complete ballache I'm not sure what the figures actually refer to but they usually run fairly uniformly so you can quickly set up a fuel gradient on the map. From there you just do power runs keeping a close eye on everything and logging so that you can adjust the fuelling more precisely as required. When watching the guys work it's clear to see why having a dyno is so important. It's power run after power run and doing it on the road must be really hairy when you're staring at a laptop screen

I can understand the fuelling but I don't understand the ignition lol.

I was thinking more along the lines of getting our trip paid for us

That's going to be stupid to drive

Aww nawww. Can I get a refund?

I read somewhere that after the all female cast one there is going to be another made with the original characters. I believe it's set for 2018 but I was half cut when I read it, never mind it being over a year ago lol. Edit: I believe it was this.... http://www.themarysue.com/who-will-think-of-the-ghostmen/ Turns out it's 2017.

Cheers guys. I'm not sure J, just looks like aluminium with a nice finish to me. Could be a coating though, the pistons definitely have some sort of coating on them. Looking forward to trying them out. The ease of the pistons going in fills me with confidence already as to how good they'll be

Yeah I had the displeasure of watching it yesterday. It looks REALLY awful. Hopefully the proper reboot is going to be a LOT better.

No requirement to have the car, space and a decent tool set are all that's required other than ability. The Supra was the first car I did any proper work on myself because I didn't rely on it as a daily driver. I was always scared of doing big jobs in case I ended up stuck with no way of taking the car to a garage to fix my mistakes. Since properly working on the Supra I've happily worked on my daily cars as I have gained the experience and also a lot of confidence in tackling them myself. Having a 3rd car as a backup always helps though

Almost finished.... Seals all fitted. I couldn't take pictures while putting them in due to being covered in brake fluid lol. First side of pistons in. 2nd side in. Both calipers done. I done a little video showing how easily the pistons slide back into place. Always a good sign IMO. [video=youtube;4Ot8z-UQ7wg] All I need to do now is fit the button screws when they arrive (ordered some stainless replacements), loctite the pipes in place and give a blow over with lacquer. Then it's a case of re-fitting the bells to the discs and bolting it all onto the car

Work done on them: Calipers cleaned & painted All seals replaced Fluid links replaced Bleed screws replaced Wear plates replaced Most fixings replaced Fixings that weren't replaced were media blasted Brackets media blasted Bells media blasted New disc fixing bolts all around. All parts replaced with genuine AP racing.

As promised here's some piccys. I realised today that I hadn't soaked the new seals in brake fluid so I stripped the first one back down to give them a soak, need a bit of brake lube to allow them to work properly I guess. This is the pistons, not a mark on them at all... really impressed with the quality of material used here. This is the piston bores without me touching them. I simply removed the pistons then took a pic. I gave them a brief clean after but there was effectively nothing to do. Pic showing the assembled caliper on the bracket. The bracket & fixings also got a bit of a refurb as long as various other bits. I gave them a little rub with scotchbrite so they need a re-lacquer. Bells after a plastic media blast. They looked terrible pre-blast Seals currently soaking in brake fluid. Just about to pop them in

I got fed up of the 100 before finishing the first season. Latest episodes of the Walking Dead have been outstanding.
-
I did but I fell away from it on season 6. It was just too much of the same old roundabout on a bigger scale for me. I was bored after 2/3 seasons but I stuck with it till I just fell away from it. Same happened with Dexter for me. For Comedy I cycle Friends, Scrubs & Still Game

Tried to watch the latest Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (Sword of Destiny or something like that). I turned it off absolutely bored stiff. I'm more disappointed that the original has now been tainted with a cheap spin-off, I'm even more gutted as I love every Donnie Yen film and this one is a stinker for me. Not sure how IMDB users have came about 6.4 but I wouldn't even give it a 2. Awful, awful movie. Please don't waste your time, especially if you're at all a fan of the original.

I've finished the x-files. It's like a smash and grab, if you're not a huge fan then don't bother at all..... you'll be very disappointed. I'm really struggling for something new to watch. I started the black list but it's not hooking me in. Suits is still the best thing I'm watching by a mile right now, but I'm watching that with the Wife so I don't get to power through episodes. I think I'll go back to House and start that again

Changed the seals on one of my AP calipers tonight. I'm really impressed with the build quality of these units. Took the pistons out and they're absolutely mint, not even a blemish on them. The seals were in very good condition too and an absolute doddle to service (unlike our calipers). Very impressed with them so far and I've not even tried them out at stopping. Will sort out the other one tomorrow night, if I remember I'll get a couple of pictures showing just how mint they are under the surface.

Chiron isn't even at the races IMO.

Will need to check the diary keeper but if I'm free, I'll be there

So many variables it's impossible to tell. Run of the mill street car with decent grip and a good launch with itro 600hp would see easy 12s and maybe even 11s if the conditions were right and the stars aligned. A properly setup car tuned for doing the quarter with everything aligned for putting in a quick run would probably see 10s, low 11s at least. Quickest BPU Supras are down in the mid 11s, some low 11s in America iirc. I think most are high stall auto's with drag slicks and suspension to match. I do believe there is the odd 6spd in there too right enough. I don't remember any 5spds, I don't know how they lend themselves to the 1/4 mile with regards to the amount of changes required and the length of the gearing.

Opie Oils?

Sounds like your pump was knackered Budz. 40 oil should be fine at 100degc. Thin oil would suggest hot oil and low pressure would suggest that the pump was perhaps to blame, especially for the low oil pressure. 1 bar at high revs is stupidly low.

Brilliant work guys and bravo David!
