  1. Watched The Hateful Eight tonight. Honestly, don't bother. Not even the sterling performances could save this completely dire movie. How it's stretched out to almost 3 hours is beyond me, it drags on SO much and is almost entirely see through. I kept expecting an ace in the hole, a trick up the sleeve or some sort of mind altering revelation.... but it never came. 2 bob movie with a cracking cast. Now for the Sherlock special.
  2. MR2 Turbo, equivalent of BPU (300hp). Amazing machine
  3. Gunmetal......or gunmetal.... or there's gunmetal?
  4. Nice touch on the surround that. Very classy looking.
  5. Considering it's still the wax & polish coming through from 5 years ago I'm impressed with the poor boys stuff
  6. I did a little bit of work on the fuel system yesterday (stripping down and boring out the hanger) but I got stuck trying to bore through the main fuel feed, so I decided to take the car out and give it a decent sponge wash. Came up well! I've got a long list of stuff to do and not a lot of free time to do it lol. Lower front suspension Raise rear suspension Get alignment done (badly need this done) Finish fuel system (450 pump & finish braided feed) Re-paint the intake components (crap paint that's flaking) Rebuild rear subframe with spare Fit big diff (need driveshaft & propshaft)
  7. That was all a rouse by Dooku. He was a master manipulator and liar. My guess is he was either insincere in his offer in order to get information, or he was sincere and had a plan to overthrow Sidious. Yoda told Obi Wan not to trust anything he said as he was completely corrupted by the dark side.
  8. No idea if I follow what you're asking... However..... Count Dooku was on the dark side as I understand it. Sidious being captured was a planned ruse to turn Skywalker.
  9. This is Dragon, it's amazing.... [video=youtube;0R1BafGi-gk]
  10. Love Ip Man series, in fact I love anything with Donnie Yen in it. Dragon is my favourite though, outstanding movie.
  11. Of course it's a continuation. How can it be considered anything but? All the original cast, years have gone by and new things are developing.... that's the definition of a continuation FFS. You will NEVER please everyone but I'm glad to see the masses are enjoying and praising it, and taking it for what it is. Think of the age you were when you saw your first star wars film. watch this with the same eyes. It's unfair to consider it in any other way.
  12. Gritters have been out and about regardless of the temps. There were a few cold days 2 weeks ago where they were out in force salting the roads. It's not been cold enough for them to come out again but I don't like driving the car in the rain regardless
  13. Oh it's not the power. It's the salt on the roads. Nice new front subframe on there that I don't want getting wrecked. The 8 miles I've put on it were bloody good fun
  14. I've put about 8 miles on it since I got back from mapping lol. Not quite the weather for it.
  15. It's not the Americanisation or the power of advertising that's made it so popular. It's the nostalgia. I remember being a kid and wanting to be Superman, the Hulk, Spiderman, wanting to hang out on Solo's Millenium Falcon with Chewy and having a light Sabre fight with Luke Skywalker. It's the fun and imagination of being a kid that pulls the adult masses towards Star Wars, and this one in particular as it's back to the originals that we remember. Scoff away though you grumpy old sh*t
  16. I think Star Trek own the rights to cubes, it's likely Stargate that has the trapezoids so there's not a lot of options left
  17. You guys are likely going to be disappointed by the next instalment then as I'm fairly certain it was deliberate to show the force cycles. I believe the next one will be an almost mirror image of the empire strikes back. Hopefully they can afford a wookie budget for the 3rd one though
  18. I would be surprised if that was the case. To be honest I think they needed something to really hit the audience and that was it. My mate thought it was going to be chewie. I would be curious to see his schedule that would honestly see a new Star Wars sequel come 2nd best. In my eyes, it doesn't exist but I foresee a cameo
  19. I can't agree. The lens flares were thankfully missing. I absolutely LOVE the Star Trek reboot but the cinematography does my nut in with it. Star Wars was spot on for me on that front. I thought the fighter/xwing/falcon scenes were absolutely breathtaking. I literally let out a f** me at the first one
  20. Yeah, far too busy to be making 10s of millions per movie
  21. Of course he will. weren't you watching? Solo is the new Kenobi and Kylo is the anti-luke that will have his future forever impacted by the murder of his Father Solo deliberately put his life in his kids hands as he was either leaving with his Son or dying in vain. It's all planned out very nicely for the next instalment
  22. The solo twins are a book affair. I'm not a big Star Wars book fan but I know little bits and bobs. Ren came across as a spoiled brat so I think he felt entitlement towards the sabre from the master who taught him.
