  2. I'm busy every weekend in may so june will be good for me. Been a while since we done something like this
  3. I need to sell this as it's breaking my heart just sitting about doing nothing. I will let it go for silly money if the prospective buyer can prove they will care for it and give it the attention it needs. Took it out for a drive tonight for the first time in about 7 months and it does turn heads and puts a smile on your face in a way an old beast like this can.
  4. Was nice chatting to you mate. Are you local to vobster? There are a few divers on here so one day a diving club meet should be had.
  5. Just pulled up and parked next to a black supe with a club sticker in the window. Perfect day for a bit of diving. Will be here til late doing some night diving aswel so pop over and have a chat. Will have a black dui drysuit on or if that leaks a blue/black one instead
  6. I used to use one of these everyday for about 4 years on radar systems, hf, vhf etc on aircraft and was very good. Think they had a battery compartment aswel. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tektronix-TDS220-Digital-Oscilloscope-Immaculate-/270723281132?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET&hash=item3f085d70ec#ht_500wt_997 Alot of old reliable crt scopes are cheap and good enough for what you need but on the heavy side. Check what sort of voltages and frequencies your looking at and buy to your needs Never used a pc based system though
  7. I would buy as many french made cars as possible and have the worlds biggest bonfire.
  8. I can bring a really old toyota and another rather smelly one. Was there a thread before about an official toyota record attempt for the most amount of toyota's in one place?

    Forum issue or me?

So just posted that and back to normal again...
  10. On the top 3 threads so far its displays how many replies there are but views come up at 0.
  11. Finished a couple of courses this weekend, was quite chilly at 5°c and vis down to less than a meter in places but lots more events all over the uk coming up, kicking off next month when it should be a bit warmer. Anyone fancy it or need a buddy?
  12. Your mixer shower will say in the book somewhere that it will need to have balanced water supplies (same flow and pressure) as you may have Higher flow from the cold than the hot as the hot side will be lower than the cold, this causes a limited temperature range in the shower and you may not even get it warm enough if your pressure and flow are greater on the cold. So try a flow limiter on the cold side if you cant get it hot enough. Make sure you connect them to the correct inlets as its a thermostatic shower. It uses a ceramic flow control so make sure you flush the pipe well because if you get some small hard debris on the ceramic plates they scratch and you will have a drip.
  13. 180k at toyota. That's had some money spent on it. It's well worth a look and i would imagine it would drive just as well as some "low mileage imports"
  14. Get an oem one if you don't want to spend too much. It will probably be an absolute pig to get off aswel. I can recommend a local garage and toyota specialist if you need one. I used jeff brown ltd on the a38 behind the petrol station (think it's a BP garage) Very good rates and top workmanship. Normally do stuff myself but the other halfs car needed new rear brake lines, real pig of a job.
  15. We have been exporting oil for years. I think i covered this in school. I remember something about our oil being of better quality and remember thinking oh that's nice. So we buy and the use the crap stuff then
  16. I'm lucky to have all my fuel paid for aswel including unlimited private use but it's still sickening when each week it creeps up. I filled up again this morning and it has risen again.
  17. 3pence a litre was £20k a year for a small haulage firm that was on the radio so they have had to lay someone off each time the fuel goes up. The uk would come to stand still as people just wont be able to afford heating gas or fuel or just about anything. Imagine the most of the countries lorry drivers doing another fuel strike over the uk. It's against the law yes, after it happened last time. But how many companies will they be able to arrest and lock up? As said the country will come to a stand still and things would be very tense. Fuel prices affect almost everyone and everything. Unless you live in the woods miles away from anything and anyone and can live by eating grass you will soon feel that pinch get tighter. The uk is like a loyal dog who cares for its owners (we pay taxes) but gets beaten daily, soon it will bite back. And the oil supplies are not getting bigger, especially when people waste money on french cars!
  18. I have used a company called coastal cottages http://www.coastalcottages.co.uk/?source=cpc&gclid=CN3TqYyetacCFcod4QodJTglAg good service and various budgets with a decent search tool on the site to include dogs etc

A photocell is what makes the light come on when it's dark so maybe try searching that aswel as the pir.
  21. I Have been in this car and jim has owned it for some time. I Don't recall any nasty knocks or bangs and he has some nice expensive blitz guages like i had in my celica. This was a couple of year ago though and i don't think he's had time to use it much. I changed gear to compare his 6 spd with mine and it felt smoother. I think if you put some tlc into the body and do the odd bits it should be a nice car
