  1. Be sure when you upgrade the tensioner get an aftermarket Bracket not the OEM. If you are wondering why then look at MVP's and SP's when they broke in the 25k Motor builds that they had done. Good little piece of insurance I would say! Cheers, Joe
  2. If you want quality and are willing to spend the money then Full-Race is the way to go. The materials are immaculate and flawless and you can have it heat coated for looks and heat reduction. They also use a lot of the dual wastegate for better boost control and always try to push you closer which now is better than just a large single wastegate. Cheers, Joe
  3. I would just buy a Fuel System, most people cut corners on this step when it should be the MAIN MOST IMPORTANT step when upgrading your car to high horsepower with a Single Turbo Setup. I would just buy the kit and do it right the first time and be done with it so that you dont have to worry about how much power you can make with what you have done. Either that or blow your motor because your starving it for fuel.... Motor vs. Fuel System ??? Cheers, Joe
  4. Gav, I would recommend staying with the Red Coolant from Toyota, if you want to upgrade your thermostat then I would go with the TRD, keep in mind that they are getting harder to come by! Cheers, Joe

    Omg!

Haha! That looks like Ronald McDonald from the Golden Arch should drive that car! It is sad to see a Supra be such a discrase to the Supra Community!! That is why it should be crushed and put out its misery. Cheers, Joe
  6. There are some bulbs that are interchangable but Nic is right they wont fit into the lenses of your car. Hope you get everything fixed up! We sell HID's also let me know if you need any other help. Cheers, Joe

    Hi

Cheers mate and hope you get yourself a good supra if not another for the lady! I'm sure you would love to challange her to a race. Goodluck with the findings. Cheers, Joe
  8. I would save the money you have and get a 6spd TT. It would not be worth buying an NA and turbocharging it. You will make a bit more power but get bored and want to upgrade more. In the long run you will spend the same amount of money doing all those mods as you would just buying the car you wanted! We have all done that and know how that goes. Let me know what you figure out going with. Cheers, Joe
  9. What he is saying is if you do overboost then you will blow your motor. I would get a BCC and a Boost Controller as soon as you can! It is just a safe and proper way to do it. You also will need it in the future if you plan to make more power. I would be sure to get an electronic BC like HKS EVC 6 or something around that. Well made and well tested! Let me know how things go. Cheers, Joe
  10. Love the Green Supra! It's always nice to have a Supra that has minor touches to the car and can pull it off just flawlessly! Let me know what your plans are for the Green Supra! Regards, Joe

    Hello!

Glad to hear the good things about the Supra! I am sure we all love to drive them. Goodluck and Welcome! Cheers, Joe
  13. HKS filters tend to disintegrate and go into your intake after so long.... In my opinion as the same as above. Wait tell you go single turbo.

    a big hello

Warm welcome to you mate! Goodluck with your findings on a Supra. If you have any questions I would love to help you! Let me know what your looking for. Cheers, Joe
  15. It is not hard to change, I am not sure if pulling the cat out would keep you from passing MOT. It will be a little bit louder, I doubt you will gain much hp from it. At least none to notice. Goodluck, let me know what you do! Cheers, Joe
  16. If you have any plans for good power in the future i would go with an aftermarket Timing Belt Tensioner Bracket. They have a problem with breaking at high rpms. I would just say it's a cheap and safe piece of insurance. Cheers, Joe
  17. for new spark plugs I would go with the NGK 3330's. Great plug but you want to change it pretty often if you drive the car at all. 3000-3500 miles or so. Cheers, Joe
  18. Glad to see yourself get a new toy, very clean and beautiful! What are your big plans for the car? And welcome Cheers, Joe
  19. Welcome to the club mate! Hope you enjoy your car like everyone else has theirs! Cheers, Joe
  20. Well it seems to me that the Supra was the best and only option that they had! Supra, Bently, Lamborghini Murciélago, yes I think I would let him drive the Supra. Cheers, Joe
  21. Ok so lets go back to what you originally said and wanted to know. You want a REALIABLE BPU Supra not BPU +++++. Lets keep that in mind when you do this cause it is very easy to get carried away spending money and modifying these cars because we are HP hungry. Depending on your power goals and budget, We have built quite a few of BPU and High Horsepower Supra's including our Race car which was the first 9 and 8 Second Supra in the US. I would say for Money and Power the best way to go would be with this setup, its quality and good money well spent I would say! BPU (Basic Performance Upgrades) List by Definition Intake Downpipe Spark Plugs Exhaust Boost Cut Controller Boost Controller Boost Gauge Basic Parts upgraded using Stock Twin Turbo's APU (Advanced Performance Upgrades) List; PHR Stage 1 or 2+ Turbo Kit- Depending on your goals. These 2 kits have been some of the best on the market with the powe that they make and spool times! Stage 1 or 2 Fuel System- Depending on which Turbo Kit that you go with above. Very Very IMPORTANT that you do this and do it right!!! I cannot stress this enough, as it has became a very big thread on Supraforums. People always cut corners on the fuel system and do something else to try and make up for it. This IS the most important thing on the motor! Greddy 3row FMIC - Quality, fits well, makes good HP tell about 800-900hp without having to upgrade to the 4row. If you go with the 4row making anything less than around 800hp, YOU WILL LOSE POWER!! I am sure that everyone already knows this. MAP ECU I or II - Both are very nice units and can support the power up to 800hp easy. We have tuned it with 1000cc injectors and made almost 1000hp. But then again we have Jarrett as our Tuner. Fluidyne or PWR Radiator - When upgrading to a Single Turbo Kit it becomes and issue with cooling depending on where you live, so the best thing would be to just upgrade the Radiator. Cheap and cost effective! You will have to do this at some point so dont let it be the last thing you do. RPS Clutch - That is if you are a 6 speed, if you are an auto you should be ok, if you want to be on the safe side and spend more cash you can upgrade your transmission with a built BL Transmission! Also other APU Upgrades are Cam gears, Cams, Pulleys, etc... Then you forget and now you have a race car. Now you know what real BPU is by DEFINITON. Cheers, Joe
  22. Welcome! What are your interests and plans for the future with the "Motor Sport" Industry?
  23. Joeatphr

    Hi from USA

Welcome to the UK forum as im sure you know of me on Supraforums.
  24. Another thing to consider is power loss in the drivetrain. The power Loss in the Drivetrain is pretty substantial! It is about 20% loss give or take a few hp. Keep that in mind when you buy the car or if you are wanting to make good horsepower. Either way for realibilty is good, cant go wrong with Toyota! Toyota and Lexus have been leading the market for the last few years in the US and im sure in the International countries also! Cheers, Joe
