  1. You'll have a cover note for the first month.
  2. Most of the front of my Elise was Armorfended from new. It's very obvious where it's applied as the gaps have loads of stone chips and the Amorfended bit has none. You can see the Amorfended front here (previous owner's web page!) http://nickaddison.users.btopenworld.com/K111Sexterior.html I actually peeled off the bits around the door locks as the edges were dirty. The paint underneath was totally undamaged and the same colour as the rest. That's after 2.5 yrs.
  3. Brilliant video ta Michael. I'll send that round work tomorrow. I write embedded code for the ECU in that car.
  4. Hardly any stuck pixels either
  5. Very sad, especially if Colin is found to be the pilot. http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,70131-1284278,00.html
  6. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/images/241359-3.jpg I had a TV that went like that.
  7. What are you talking about?!! that's a top tune and will.i.am is a legend I saw Black Eyed Peas as the support act of a concert I went to see ages ago and they were great. I swear that guy's legs aren't attached to his body when he breakdances!
  8. Oops. I only searched for "motorcycle" and "electric". Damn my crappy searching skills
  9. The owner of this hugely powerful electric motorbike (0-60mph in less than 1 second) tries to do a burn-out, gets it wrong and crashes into a car! Hopefully he wasn't badly injured, but the moment where he shoots off into the distance is priceless http://www.tgdaily.com/html_tmp/content-view-33853-113.html
  10. I like white cars with tinted windows. Reminds me of my old Celica except the Integra is better looking.
  11. roflmfao actually I didn't but i did lol
  12. Wow. That colour looks incredible!
  13. Agreed. My car sailed through the MOT last week with Nur Spec R and no baffle.
  14. Looks nice. Wouldn't want to head-butt it though!
  15. Spent most of yesterday putting my new Elise through the various stages of Meguiars: 1. Clay bar 2. Deep Crystal Clean 3. Deep Crystal Polish 4. Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax The car now seems to change colour as the sunlight changes! Sadly, insects don't seem to have gained any further respect for it. http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/misc/s2elise05.jpg http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/misc/s2elise09.jpg http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/misc/s2elise07.jpg http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/misc/s2elise08.jpg
  16. I thought exactly the same thing Phone him up and say "Harlequin Ferrari, talk to me!".

    Bird strike

That's gross! I think I was lucky Just one of those unavoidable things though. I've hit a pigeon and a couple of cats before (and I love cats so that's not very nice ) The birds today just flew out of a hedge and one didn't quite make it out high enough. Mind you, if one damaged my car and survived I'll probably kick it to death
  18. Yeah, looking at your garage pics it looks very close. I always wondered what that colour would look like on the supra! I think it possibly suits the elise a bit better as it has more curves to pick out the change in colour as the light changes. I'd definitely prefer it to the red of my supra though!

    Bird strike

Just had a bird strike at 50mph on the windscreen of my new Elise. A bit lower and I'm pretty sure it would have cracked the clamshell. Windscreen was undamaged apart from a nasty smear Any idea what speed would be required to crack the windscreen?
  20. lol excellent! If you like I can save you some time. Just buy my car
  21. More pics here Paint code is B28.
  22. There's a Lotus colour called "Deep Purple" and my S1 Elise happens to be in that colour It looks black a lot of the time, but it's fantastic when the sun shines on it. http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/misc/elise02.jpg
  23. I plan to upgrade my LCD TVs often and buy the cheapest model of a decent make. I had a 32" Samsung last time and I've now upgraded to a 40" Samsung LE40R87BDX. I reckon 1366x768 is plenty high enough for this size screen. The 1080p model is better but I don't think it's worth the extra few hundred quid. The Samsung is particularly good as I run all my TV through my home cinema PC using Windows MCE2005. The TV supports 1:1 pixel ratio through HDMI. Edited to add - 1080p has the disadvantage for an HTPC that the writing will be too small to read from the sofa!
  24. I had some Hawk brake pads from JPS motorsport when I first got my Supra. They were horrendously expensive (about 250 quid for all four) and squealed badly, but they were absolutely fantastic. I've now got Chris Wilson's ones which are not quite as good as the Hawk's but still very good. That's what I'd buy again.
  25. Call me optimistic, but I reckon that's just a poor digital camera and the flash is making it look too bright. Have a look at picture 3. The red doesn't look so garish. Mind you, the steering wheel and gear knob still shouldn't be red!
