  1. Fri Blast down to the Eurotunnel, then head to Orleans. This is one hour out of Paris. Sat We headed to the Tarn Gorge, in the morning we drove up the twisty and challenging roads of a Volcano and had lunch at the top, with breath taking views. Later we headed to Millau Viaduct - the tallest bridge in the world. The roads in the region was very good, particularly the roads around the Gorge. We stayed in a 3* chateau with modern zen-inspired interior. The chateau sits right on the Gorge and boasts it's own stretch of private 'beach' on the Tarn River as well as a heated pool. Sun We drove over the Millau bridge, there was lots of low lying clouds when we crossed it, hence visibility was hugely reduced. We spent all day wizzing around the Languedoc region of Southern France, we drove on what seemed like endless twisty A roads through the forest. The challenging A roads gave me a chance to understands the cars true cornering capabilities. The roads was very similar to the ones in the hills of Monza, twisty, flowing wit lots of tight hair pin bends. The region was full of pristine, twisty new roads in preparation for the area's expansion. For now though, they were empty and very inviting. We ended the day at our 3* hotel, a 16th century converted mill, accessed by a 300m tree-lined drive way and set in 20 hectares of Provence countryside. Mon Monday began with a run up Mont Ventoux, which is 1,900 metres above sea level. The roads was silky smooth and flowing. I turned the boost down to .8 bar just so I did not over work the engine at that altitude, as the air is less dense and could play havoc with cooling. Once at the top it was truly spectacular. We was lucky enough that it was a clear day, you could see the Monte Blanc Tunnel, the French Alps and even Switzerland. If there is one road you should drive on, before you die, this is definably one of them. There was points on the hill where it was a 45 degrees steep. We ended the day in a 14th century chateau in the Beaujolais-Burgundy region. The chateau sits in 65 hectares of vineyards - the chateau produces it's own wine - with cavernous, centuries-old wine cellars. Tue Straight Forward blast back to Calais, and trying to avoid as much of Paris during rush hour.
  2. Wots the Dilema? 1stly I wound not by a yellow one. But its ur choice, I think the best colour they come in is Nurburing Blue, followed by, black, silversone silver and gun metal grey. But I think an 02 for 14,500 is very expensive. You can pick up a 2003 53 New shape for that money. Have a look on Pistonheads or Autotrader. I personally think the old shape looks dated, and the face life should have been the styling of the S2000 originally. I was sooooooooooo close to parting with my cash for one, until Mr Lui too me for a spin in his motor, then I said it was far too slow for my liking.

    Harrods

Totally agree, XMAS should only start Early November. But Harrods do it as a large percentage of their customers are from over seas. They come up in the summer & Autumn for hols in London and while up here do a spot of Shopping. I cant believe we're talking about Christmas, I'm still waiting for summer to finally show up!!
  4. Cheeky git, who had me waiting at Indian Summer for 20 mins when we had a train to catch to Paris!!
  5. I would assume this is a mini convoy for the Santa Pod meet in October. Am I right? Or are we convoying up to Toddington for the hell of it! LOL
  6. Just rolled in at 11pm. WOW!!!!!! What a trip, this has made me fall in love with driving all over again. My car has been off the road for 8 weeks and to do a 5 days 1,500 miles road trip has made me firstly fall in love with it all over again and secondly learn to understand the true power and capabilities. I will post lots of pictures tomorrow with a full write up. Completely shattered, off to get some Kipp. See ya tomorrow.
  7. I'm probably gonna get slatered for this by the mods for putting this thread in Supra chat. But I woke up this morning and decided to go the Gauge in the South of France for a bit of a road trip 1500 miles in 4 day, with 15 other supercars. We're gonna be doing the same road trip Topgear done when they took 3 super cars to Paris followed by the Gauge & Milau Bridge. Will take loads of photos. Cant write much more as I've gotta shoot, gotta a 3pm train to catch. See ya soon guys.
  8. Waz72, I've received your cheque this morning, it will be cashed today, and once cleared (7 days). I'll post you out all the bits. Thanks again.
  9. Provisionally sold, awaiting cheque to clear
  10. The air filter is mint, its only done 200 miles. I brought it off another member on the forum who said it was too loud for him (Bensan) LOL. I brought it to put on mine, but never got round to it, so its up for grabs.
  11. Asking Price: 70.00 including postage Condition: Good I've I've had these sitting on my shelf for far too long... so I'm putting them up for adoption. The heatsheild is stainless steel I think, which could easily polish up to bling-spec. Here are some pics for the curious amongst you. http://www.flat4online.co.uk/catalog/images/apexifilter.jpg This is for a J-Spec Supra, and will not fit a stock twin UK Spec car due to the MAF sensor being in the way. The reason I'm asking £70 all inclusive is so that I don't lose out too much from having it courier'd to you. If you'd like to collect from London, I'd happily knock off a tenner
  12. Looking good Lui mate. Cant wait to go cruising again wit you old boy!
  13. Paul, why did u buy a brand new car in the 1st place? All new cars depreciate like a rock, 40% in 1 yr 50% in yr 2 and up to 65% by year 3. My advice is to buy a 2 year old, with 20k, still under manufacturers warranty for 50% less. Forget the new reg, the novelty will wear off in 6 months!! New cars are for muppets!! Any way going back to ur initial post, if ur still set on a brand new one. I'd cancel the deal, write to Mazda UK and I am sure they will point you in the direction of another one and give you 10% off, as a good will gesture. Markups on a new car are usually 15%-20%
  14. Sh*t did I miss ur bday old man, well happy belated birthday mate. Hope u had a good one, not long to go only another 7 days and you get ur baby back!! I'll speak to Mark at Phoenix, and see if he can arrange to put a nice pink bow ribbon on it! LOL
  15. Ro I remember you taking me & my girlfriend for a spin up at Ace Cafe, on a cold and wet January evening. You fish tailing the beast on the A40 was enough, to have me reaching for my cheque book. Well done fella, sad to hear you've sold up, hope you got what you wanted for it. So whos the new owner?
  16. £12,000 (to Register ur car) for 2 number plates, a tax disc and a log book in your name!!!!! Thats criminal!!
  17. Well done Jamie mate, shame to see the old girl go, as u've only just finished her. Stunning example and Christina u've got one hell of a car. It was only the other day up at Ace I was laughing, listening to Jamie telling me about his race with a Zonda, which he won by a car length! Well time to move on, so are u still toying with the idea of a Noble?
