Guys, I cant believe I'm selling her, I gave her a wash this weekend, and with the sun shining it looked the bollocks!! I'm still in two minds, you don’t know how hard it is to sell your baby. I've edited the adverts and put some more details, like mileage, MOT, further work I'm gonna have done (Full Service, Bodywork, Alloys Refurb etc) I've replied to all the PM. I've advertised it only one this site and no where else, as I'd love a member of this forum to own it as opposed to some DISCONCERNING CHAV!! LOL.....u cheeky git LOL

NOW SOLD! Right then, its taken me 18 months, of searching, to find my perfect Supra just ask Lui, Jurgen & CJ. Sadly its up for sale to fund a pending flat purchase, in London. As we are all aware it ain't cheap to buy down here, but you've gotta bite the bullet some time. A dream realised I remember the 1st time I saw a Supra back in 93, it was red with cream leather, I stopped in my tracks and gazed at it for 5 mins. Even though I was late for school, nothing else in the world really mattered at the moment. I was 13 at the time and it’s taken me 15 years to finally raise enough cash to finally realise the dream. Every time I take the car cover off the car and gaze at it again it makes me feel like I’m 13 all over again. The car is only used on weekends and not parked where I live so I don’t see it every day. But in the gated compound where it spends most of its days parked up next to a TVR, DB9, 6 Series BMW, couple of M3 and 911, boy oh boy does it take your breath away!!!! I’ve only owned my Supra since March 2007, and it been a dream finally realised, it was only back in November 06, when I lost a close friend to cancer. It was there and then that I decided life was to short to sit on the fence and wait for dreams to happen, but with a sad feeling, it going up for sale. In the last 8 months I've embarked on a series of road trips to Europe. Which have included Dragonball, LeMans, Paris & recently Gauge South of France. All of which have been fantastic, and def the best part of owning a Supercar. I've enjoyed some very sprited drives, now that the car is running full BPU, from 70-140 mph, I've kept up with a Diablo, F360, 911 (996) Turbo, Corvette. The car has turned heads every where it has gone, it literally stopped traffic in Paris at 1am on a Saturday, parked out side the Eiffel Tower. (Just ask P111dy). When I took it to LeMans, it was parked on the pavement, on Friday night, in LeMans old town. Again there was guys stopping in Lambo, Aston Martins, Ferraris, Porsches ect literally getting out of their cars to have a look and taking pictures. Can u imagine the smugness on my face? I was talking to a rep from one of the Toyota GT teams, up at LeMans, his exact words was "If they were still building the MKIV Supra today, that will be how they will look rolling off the production line with 500 bhp. LOL" http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=125163 The bodywork, was vision of Ibrar Jabar (Highly reputable Trader on this forum), who blended Vellside Wheel Arches & Rear Spats with Blitz Side Skirts, etc. Recently I've had Michel Lane Highly reputable Trader on this forum), carry out over £3,000 worth of work on the car. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=126623 1) Brand New RPS 6 Puck Racing Clutch 2) New HKS Titanium 4 Inch Exhust Straight Through 3) Re con Turbos, which have never boosted past .8 bar and have ony done 60,000 km. (Supplied by Michel Lane) 4) AEM Tru Boost Controller It was Dyno by Motoscope, which was recommended by Michel Lane. Full graph to prove. 1.1 Bar = 405 BHP, 389 ibf.ft Torque 1.2 Bar = 407 BHP, 407 ibf.ft Torque The car is sold as HPI Clear, I ran a check before I purchased it back in March 2007 & have a certificate to prove. Sold with 1 Full Years MOT Tax Until March 2008 Mileage is 83,000 miles. The car has had full leak down, compression test & boreascope check, and if all come up fine, there is no sign of engine detting, or loss of compression. The car will be sold with a full Service by Michel Lane, prior to sale. Bodywork is in good condition, no dents, rust or scratches. The front bumper has a few stone chips (hence long road trips) and will be fully resprayed prior to sale. The front alloys will be refurbished. So you can see I've spent alot of cash on the car, and its worth every penny, its definately the most unique Supra on the Forum. Please PM me if you are interested. Every one has got their own rates, but to be honest I'd just had a through look threw the web site and theres nothing too labour intensive about that. Very straight forward HTML code with hyperlinks to no more than 20 pages. The layout and text editing could have taken a week, but no more. So thats 40 hours to knock this up. To bill you £5,000 over 4 months. that means (40 hr in a week * 16 weeks (4 months) / £5k = £7.81 phr) which is the going rate. I think some one some where is over billing you for this work. I'd go back and tell them its only a weeks worth of work, and you'll pay them for a week. If they refuse, then say you want SQL back end Customer database, with a Flash front end for that money. They saw u coming..............

Whos that then then, which F1 test driver owned a Supra?
-
Just glad to hear your ok.
-
Mate if u missed Topgear, they will be rerunning it on Wed (10th Oct) eve at 7pm on BBC2. Thy not to miss it, its great to have the boys back.

I can firmly confirm the Michel Lane is a Tuning God, hes driven purely out of passion not profit. My car has been off the road, since early July, with it puffing black smoke. Michel Lane, diagnosed the fault to be the 2 acuature pipes, not fitted correctly. One was on upside down and the other one was not a Supra part, instead of another car, which was too big, hence leaving a gap. The turbos was stripped down, and found no play in the shaft, but the 1st turbo, the blades had a few chips. A used pair of Jspec turbos was fitted, along with a leak down test and compression test. The car was given a full bill of health. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=121343 Whilst the car was up there I got Michel to fit an HKS fuel cut defenser. Because the car was over fueling, and when hitting 5,500 rpm, the ECU would kick in and cut the fueling. This I think added the black smoke. While it was up there we he changed the gearbox and diff oils, and judging by the age of the car (94) 13 years old, had never been changed in its life. Take the DIFF oil, which is supposed to be red, was black. A full oil change was on the cards, along with a nearly new HKS Titanium Racing 4" Exhaust & 3" Resistor ring, sourced of the lovely Jevansio. (Some thing to do with him thinking it was a tad bit too loud, sounds me like old age is creeping in LOL ) Also fitted was a brand new RPS 6 puck Racing Clutch, HKS Dump valve, AME Boost Controller. We had the car Dyno, and at 1.1 bar it was pushing 401 bhp and 1.2 bar 407 bhp After collecting the car of Michel Lane, within 4 days I had already embarked on a mad road trip to the South of France, total 1,600 miles in 5 days. The car did not miss a beat, and even at 1,900 meters above sea level, when other cars was feeling the strain of less dense air, mine soldiered on. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=125163 I am chuffed to bits as my goal was to achieve 400 bhp, RELIABLY! I would hand on heart recommend any one, including my granny to him, if she had a Supra. No, but seriously, he takes pride in his work, and does not like to do a half hearted job, and just rush jobs out the door, to get the next punter through the door. I found his rates to be extremly reasonable, and the work of the highest standard. He always finds the time in the day to talk in length, and gave me excellent advice, especially when it came to me choosing an new clutch and exhaust. Michel is different than most garages, who just want to bill you by the hour, instead I found him at times, to go over and beyond the call of duty at time. There was a time when he spend 6 hours one night up to midnight trying to fix an electrical problem, which he did not bill me for. He a charming and welcoming, chap who was more than happy to welcome you into his home. He's a breath of fresh air, I cant with for him to open up a 2nd branch in Balham, London. I live in London, and I know Darlington is bloody miles away 260 miles, but if you want the job done 1st time and done properly, then I'd definitely recommend you pay him a visit. Oh yeeer and i forgot to mention the birds ain't that bad up that way. For me any excuse for a piss up and a chance to harrase the local totty. Heres a few pics of Michels Tuning Center

The corvette was the 405 bhp stock version. I was giving him lots of stick on the French Autoroutes. Performance, from 70-140 mph there was nothing in it. we was side by side, and that was me running 1.1 bar (Full BPU). But after 150-180 it'll pull 1-2 car length on me. I think that has some thing to do with the gearbox ratio, where he can hit higher top end speed. I was taken for a spin in it and the pull is constant through out the rev band, while the supra you need to wait for the 4,500 rpm, then you've got the same kick. It was funny at 100 mph the car was revving at under 2,000 rpm in 6th gear. Hav you got any pics of your visit to the Black Forrest?

I was one of the lucky few who has experienced the thrill of driving around the RING, I done it in a Lambo Gallardo on my XBOX. No I've never been mate, some thing I'd love to do next year, along with wanting to drive in the twisty, famous hills of Monza, dropping in for tea at the famous Ferrari, Zonda & Lambo factory, which is all based in Marrenello. Have you been? If so wots it like?
-
Replying to the above quote, every one has dreams and aspirations, this chap has clearly worked dam hard for his cash, hence taking the time to do a full write up. There is no reason that he should be treated like that. You pay £70k to be one of the special owners, you've expect the dealers to bend over backwards for you. Which is clearly not the case. It sounds like Stratstone is now managed by Arthur Daley. The thing that really piss me off is the bold face lying, 7 former keepers, missing service history, tools, no extended warranty, barley legal tyres & brakes. Replaced exhaust, which am inferior quality one. leaky roof etc I think its put me off owning a Ferrari full stop.
-
TO be honest this chap brought it from a Stratstone (MAIN AGENT FOR FERRARI UK). He should of been treated better. Selling a car with barely legal tyres is not on, pad & and a knackered exhaust. I worked on a consultancy project with Accenture, when we rolled out a new computer system for all the Ferrari dealer across the UK. The level of staff moral was low, lots of politics, apparently, huge back logs, of parts to be shipped over from Italy etc, etc, etc. You can never shy away from the fact, that Ferrari is owned by Fiat, who we all know is a shambles. Its a shame as one of my childhood dream manufacturers, will never one day be realized. Because of shabby customer service, well over priced parts, as brittle car, which bores a huge hole in your pocket with endless bills. After hearing storied like this, if really puts you off owning one. Its funny I just came back from one of these super car runs, and they are all snobby to Jap cars, they wont tell you to your face. But its very apparent in their body language and behavour. My Supra may be 13 years old with 80k miles on the clock, with regular oil change every 12k and it got the performance of a 360, or dare I say it, at 1.2 bar it'll piss all over it!!
-
Fancy trading in your 10 year old + Supra for a 360 Spider!! Think again!! Some thing they don't tell you on TopGear, 5th Gear or in the brochure. After reading this, my Supra is worth its weight in gold http://www.furball5000.co.uk/members/viewtopic.php?t=632&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Mate I went with a club called fb5k. They planned the route, accomodation & travel. I agreed the movie does not really capture it fully, but bear in mind that was the slower sections.
-
It was literally mile after mile of this kind of roads for 8 hours. Obviously I choose to record the slower section with less tricky bends, as had more important things to do, like drive a supra TT. http://s182.photobucket.com/albums/x201/wayne_bhagan/?action=view¤t=MOV08049.flv

I'm no mechanic, so cant advise u, but these guys above know a thing or two, best of luck, and fingers cross its a quick fix.

Gaz, its clean open roads, no speed cameras, no coppers, no idiots on the road, just you and the car as one. To be honest I've always been afraid to push the car. The fear that the back end my kick out and bite my head off. But this 1500 mile trip has made me understand my cars ability. As Jemery Clarkson said on Topgear these are one of the most demanding and challenging roads in Europe. It truly awesome going around bends doing 30-60 mph, and your taking every corner perfect, as you've got the satnav, showing you this corner and the next one in front, braking, when the car in front brakes or choosing your own braking point, feathering the throttle through the corner and then waiting for the car to straighten up before planting your foot on the throttle. But then theres that adrenalin factor which you don't get at the Nurburing, which is when you look down you see a massive drop. Some thing out of WRC. I may not have tamed the beast, but at least I lived to tell the tale. But I would say if your gonna do a trip like this you need to make sure your brakes are up for the job, because its heavy braking down hill into the tight twisty hair pins, that cooks them. The Lambo had to pull over a few time. Also coolant, is very important, as your giving the car allot of stick, out side temperature is usually 30c. Lastly Tyres and tracking is extremly important, I guess it goes with out saying. ROLL ON GAUGE RUN 2008!!
-
Guys, all I can say is the pictures don't even tell half of the story. Just imagine driving on roads like that, mile after miles for 8 hours a day. I spoke to Lui earlier and the only way I can describe it, its like taking your car around a go-kart circuit. Judging by the comments, I think we should plan a Supra run, down to the Gauge, some time next year 08. Just wondered who would be up for it?

We convoyed down with 15 cars, on the smooth French Autoroutes, every one wanted to race the Supra, M3, 911, VX220 Turbos etc. All got their ass wipped, and I was only running 1.1 bar. The Lambo and the Corvett, was the only 2 cars, that could match me. From 70-120 mph we were side by side, nothing in it, but the Lambo and Corvett really shone over 140 + mph, where they will pull 3-4 car lengths. The girl driving the Lambo was giving that car some serious stick, she could really drive. LOL We had lots of blasts on the motor, once south of Paris. I remember doing 160 + = mph in 110 kmph zone. There was one of those black small box speed camera on the motor way, The corvett was in front, then the Lambo and then me The Corvett went through the speed camera, then the Lambo, and by the time it had registered, the Corvetts speed, it flashed, which was me. This happen twice to me in the same day. Just hope I was going to fast for them to get my no plate. Bear in mind we was doing over 160 + mph in 110 KMPH zone. Fuel bill 1500 miles round trip £450

The paint finish looks sweet, who did yours?

Cheers Hogmaw, you would of loved the trip
