Lui's Mini Convoy to Ace Cafe Supra Only Night Tuesday 22nd January 2008
Wayney replied to lui's topic in Supra Chat
Lui, can I tag along in my 1.0 Micra, you might have to give me a head start though!! -
Juanchan, If you've checked you engine thoroughly and cant not see any sigh of oil leaks in the engine bay. Then it might be worth unscrewing your intercooler pipe and check inside to see if there is any oil in the pipe. If there is, then there could a an oil leak in your turbos. I noticed the same thing on Dragonball, my valve stem seals was worn and used to puff blue smoke on start up. But it clear after 30 seconds. Then I noticed it was loosing oil. It was the turbo seals that has gone, and the old turbos was swamped in oil. But then again 4k miles is quite a bit, so I would not worry, but just to be the safe side, check pipe that leads from the turbos to the intercooler? Fingers X its nothing serious mate.

Right ladies and gents of MKIVsupra Over a couple of drinks tonight, I have decided, I’m gonna plan a road trip to the Europe this summer, and wanted to invite you mad lot to join me. Not wanting to step on any ones toes, so first and foremost, this will not clash with Dragonball 08, and is completely separate. Some of you may have seen that episode of Topgear when they went in search of the best driving roads in world. Well this trip will be designed from the ground up to take into account these roads. The route is the key selling point of this trip, and only the best roads would do, there for I have some of the best brains in the business planning the route. We are purely limited to distance, by how many days be go away for. The trip will be a proper driving holiday. I did a trip to the South of France last summer and did a write up, and judging by the comments, I thought it only fair to plan another one for you guys. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=125163 Rough out line of the trip 1) The whole trip will include twisty, challenging A & B Roads, as opposed to boring, boring, boring toll motorway miles. 2) A Track Day will be organised, giving you a change to give it the beans on a track for an entire day. 3) Also wanted to include a night on the tiles or some of you may perfer to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities, or a quiet dinner, the choice is yours, but it'll give every one the change to have a good night off. Of course I will be choosing a busy vibrant town, not some sleepy French vine yard. 4) Depending on budgets, but one night I wanted to stay in a French Chateau, a proper 5 * job, with all facilities, pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzie, the works!! So the ladies can be pampered while the gents can laze around by the pool. With a few contacts, this should not be expensive 5) There will also be the option to pop into a few vine yards along the way for Wine or Champagne tasting session, or wot some may call a free piss up. This trip is very much still in the early planning stages, no concrete dates have been confirmed. I am now open to suggestion, and would welcome some feed back from you, firstly starting with how long your are able to go away for? 1) Leave Fri come bak Sunday (3 days) 2) Leave Thursday come bak Monday (5 days) 3) Leave Saturday and come back Friday/Saturday (7 days) Obviously the longer the trip, the further we can explore. Again it all comes down to cost, time and money.

Or has he finally seen sence, and decided to expand the business, get a few more mechanics under his wing and meet the huge demand!! In Oz he just be twiddling his tumbs next to the pool and drinking Victory Beer, well hey that aint a bad life, but he'll soon get board and come bak!! ...........we hope. (fingers X)

Excellent read, its funny when I think of the lengths Porscher went to, with weight reduction on the 996 911 GT3 RS. Even the Porscher logo badge on the bonnet which is normally enamel, was replaced with a simple sticker. Come on how much would that of saved? Its a bit like me removing my jeans belt before driving or having a good dump in the toilet! LOL But as a Columbian drug dealer would say, every gram counts!!

Nothing beats the feeling of a maual, so much more enjoyable, your gonna love a sunday morning, bear knuckle peddle to the metal, blast down county lanes in a manual.

I'm currently selling mine after 12 months of ownership, to fund buying my first property. Its with out doubt the best car I've owned. But here's the question, if you sell your Supra wot can you buy for the same money to replace it with that kind of power and attention it generates? Simple answer is not much? Well nothing as the Skyline is a cornflake box on wheels, but a very fast one I might add. I think the Supra prices may have fallen, but its clearly a shape that ages well and does not look dated parked next to most of the modern supercars.

Mate I know exactly how you feel, when my car was off the road for July & Aug (2 of the best months of the year) getting all the turbos sorted. Mate best of luck with the RAF, it aint easy to land a place there, very difficult entry procedure. I hope it all works out, have you got a backup plan in case it does not? The car is for sale for £14,995. The car will be available for viewing from Sunday 13th January.

Guys, Sorry its taken a while to get back to you, I was away over the festive period. Hope you lot had a nice one. To give you an update, Michel has pointed out that all the necessary work has been done. I am selling my car as one of the best FULL BPU Supras on the Forum, which it is and judging by the response it get from meets, it def is. Right getting to the point, my car has never been ragged, trashed!! Its only ever been worked on by the most reputable mechanics on this forum (Pheonix & Michel Lane). Pheonix carried out, regular service, brake pads etc Michel Lane has done all the major work, like brand new clutch. Replaced the Twin Turbos, with used pair, which were like brand new off his Aristo, which had done 60k KM (40k miles and never boosted past 0.8 psi. Michel personally checked them him self and said they were like new. Also replaced the exhust with the best in the business for the Supra, HKS Tititanium 4 inch. The car has had a double Decat, and a 3 inch restristor ring, to prevent the car from over boosting when cold and on the highest boost setting, just a precaution. The car has had the following work done, 1) Replacement Twin Turbo, like new supplied and fitted by Michel Lane (£1,300) 2) Brand new RPS 6 Puck Racing Clutch, the best you can buy, good enough for 800 bhp, if you choose to mod it! (£1,000) 3) Brand new HKS Titanium Exhaust, the best one you can buy for a Supra (£800) 4) Full 4 Inch DeCat Pipe, straight through, custom built 5) AEM True Boost Controller, again the best one available for the Supra 6) HKS Dump Valve 7) Traffic Star 19 Inch Alloys, (Deep Dish with Chrome lip) est £3,000 8) Tyres (Michelin Pilot Sport on rear and Eagle F1 Good Years on Front) 9) Full Body Kit (Vellside Over fenders blended with Blitz Side Skirts, one off groves in the bonnet, front arches) One off truly unique remoulded Abflung front bumper, the only Supra on the forum to have it. 10) Recently had Oil Valve Stem Seals done (£1,000) 11) Upgraded Brake Kit 4 Piston Calipers, AP Racing Front Discs, pads, & Callipers. Painted red brake calipers 12) Full Race Logic Traction Control, (£700) 13) HID, Main Beam & Fog Light 14) Face Lift Rear Light Cluster 15) Front Head light is a one off (Pre Face lift J-Spec with profeshionally painted inside) 16) Seats, profeshionally resitiched in honey combe leather. 17) Momo F1 Racing Steering Wheel (Very rear only myself and one other member on the forum that has it in the UK. 18) Upgraded Speakers 19) Upgraded CD Pioneer Head Unit 20) Fully Debaged, to give it that unique, wow factor, and endless people asking you is it an Aston Martin? 21) HKS Dump Valve 22) Blitz Air Induction Kit The car will be available for viewing from January, strictly be appointment only. The front bumper has already been painted (few stone chips). The arches need a bit of TLC, as there are light paint cracks. A real jem, as a Toyota GT rep said at LeMans earlier this year in June, when I took the car over for the 24hr race. If Toyota was still building the car today, that is exactly how they will look rolling off the production line, with 400 bhp. You could not immagine my huge smugness Thanks for your interest, PM me for more info thanks Wayne P.S. The car is sold with 1 Full Years MOT until December 2008 and road Tax Till March 2008

Holly mother of god that was sick! The pics looked horrible, but seeing the video, makes its all the more worst! Really sick The Get Away driver obviously, did that as an act of premeditated. He choose his spot and allowed the car to drift onto the other side of the road. The car looked steady and drove directly into the Supe. Poor guy, I really feel for that. When u see the pics of the side of the passenger door (bear in mind they drive on the other side, so UK drivers side) the door, and rear Quarter looks in tact, just show you have strong the Supra is. RIP
