  1. Just got back after getting the wrap done. Very pleased. though the wheels and splitter are covered in dust! No supra badge as they couldnt save it. but i quite like it without. strangely. i had the supra badge with the extra "turbo" text before. ill get another if i feel like it. Off to the MOT tomorrow evening, actualy tested monday. Hope it passes. Because if it doesn't, it doesn't leave much time before dragonball on wednesday!

  5. good luck with that. black might be hard to keep clean with no marks. but with white you will end up washing it twice as much.
  6. Had the car in the bodyshop to get the car smoothed out, all the dents removed, a few rusty patches sorted and readied to be wrapped in the liquid copper. The car wasn't quite finished but had a nice coat of white. Nothing fancy because its just going to be covered up, but just so its sealed and not primer It was so nice seeing it without the old dents and dings. But it wouldn't start so they have had to push it arround. This happened last time because the spark plugs got sooted up with it only being started and shut off without it being run up to temperature very often. So evinX helped me change the spark plugs (i say helped but all i did was take off the strut brace) because i dont know what im doing. And it fired right up without an issue. So now its off next door on wednesday to get wrapped. should be ready in 2 weeks. Then it just needs an MOT, insurance and tax before dragonball. unfortunately i forgot to take a picture
  7. good luck mate. almost all of them were creme. i think only black cars had the black interior.
  8. Dropped it off yesterday for the bodywork.
  9. To think I struggled to sell my uk spec 5 years ago for 7k...
  10. Seems to me a lot of people in this thread seem to be very picky about surface rust and tiny paint defects for a 20 yer old car... But i also wouldn't be paying anywhere near 23k for an almost stock tt 6...
  11. Have not seen a stock pearl white that I liked. Who knows, after the wrap I might just have it done in 202 white like factory. For now I’m trying to decide between the above 3. I have ordered some a4 size samples of them off eBay to ponder over. I am liking the black/gold flake though. Lol
  12. This is also a colour I’m thinking. About. https://www.dhresource.com/0x0s/f2-albu-g4-M00-FC-17-rBVaEFgES6iASNpFAAIF8P2l9tI725.jpg/pearl-gloss-vinyl-white-gold-pearl-car-wrapping.jpg Or this. I just can’t decide https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7273/26909408001_32d2105143_k.jpg
  13. I’ll have the intake pipe if it’s still available mate
  14. So. A year later and checking in. The car is still not sprayed. And now I fancy something a bit different... Booked into the body shop the first Monday in March to sort some rust spots and dents and dings etc. Then it’s going next door for a full colour change wrap in 3m gloss liquid copper. https://scontent-sea1-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/64718affebc7a202f7c0ba8ab9f9fb0a/5B1AD3A8/t51.2885-15/s480x480/e15/11023235_1414842875485399_1257912097_n.jpg Should look something like the Titan cars. If I’m lucky. http://site.titanmotorsports.com/CarsforSale/CavinSupra/titan_supra_1.jpg
  15. I know the price is going to vary on what colour I choose. I have 3 In Mind but I want to see what they look like in person. One is a metallic gloss standard kinda colour. Another is a pearl with what looks like some flake. And another is a one of the expensive ones with a bit of a flip. Arranged to go have a look and a chat with a local place tomorrow. As it’s hard to tell the colours unless your in person. They say 1500 as a ballpark kinda price for something the size. Of a supra. But obviously more for the more fancy ones.
  16. Not really. The colours in after is t available In a plastidip as far as I know.
  17. Yeah. Iv seen a few that have been a bit iffy. I’d probably get the door shuts done too. But I’d only have it on for a few years I’d imagine.
  18. Hi guys. Was going to get my car painted white with a gold pearl. Not a full windows out job. Just external panels as a bit of a refresh (car is already white). But there is a colour iv always loved. I wouldn’t want the car painted in it and then leave the engine bay white etc. And I’d like to go back to White at some point. So iv been thinking of having it wrapped in that colour (it’s a metallic not Matt or gloss). The paint at the mo is dull and faded. A bit of lacquer peel on one area. Some parking dents that would need to be smoothed over. I can probably do those myself. And a bit of rust is starting to creep in on the arches if you look hard enough. I might end up getting the body shop to remove and smooth the dents and the bits of rust and then getting it done so it looks its best. So. To the main point. What’s the rough cost of wrapping a supra in a metallic colour? Just looking for a ballpark figure. Anyone had it done that can advise Cheers

  20. problem with moving things to facebook is you cant look on there easly for stuff... "oh i saw someone post something about your problem last year on this group" good luck finding that post... And you cant store things on it easily for reference. Its not what it was intended for. Its a social networking platform. Its great for informing people and organising meetups or distributing other news. But holding long lasting discussions and as a repository of knowledge it is not good at.
  21. Good news man. Write “mine” on it in white paint when it’s done
  22. just had this on mine. master cylinder fixed it
