  1. wheres your design? didnt eat the crayons again did you?
  2. my car is going into wifbitz on the 9th for a load of work. so im gonna be out for this one
  3. iv used them for years too. but HSBC who i bank with have reduced the rates a lot recently. so dont use them as much. I dont know if people in the USA can use it to send to the UK though.
  4. *sharp inhale through teath* Time for a GTE
  5. Interesting. My car had some work done at full throttle... Its not been right since. To the point where i didnt want to take it back to them to have them put it right. At least 2 garages (my regular MOT place who are not a performance "tuner" and most recently Whifbitz) have both ether corrected glairing issues or pointed at things and gone "who did that?!" Im not realy one to kick the beehive because they look to build some good cars... But my car also LOOKED great when it left. They even did a few bits i didnt ask them to, and didnt bill me for... Unfotunately the heater matrix empted its self into my footwell halfway home because a hose they replaced (heater return) was kinked...
  6. id definately at least give the bpu mods a try. Its pretty cheep to do (compared to a single conversion) and the intercooler and a few other mods will be of use if you go single. i loved my old bpu car. in some ways more than my single. its just different to drive. and it was great with the auto box i had. When you planted it. the box kicked down and the 2nd turbo all came along at the same time was a real kick in the pants. something similar in my single just wants to spin the wheels. Hope you enjoy the car.
  7. have you checked the rear brake lines that like to corrode. they are likely knackered.
  8. Dont think he has said. but he has got it to spank on the track and to make content for his channel. so its not supposed to be some kind of show car. like they said its a nice base that just needs cosmetic work mostly. I watch a lot of jimmys youtube and twitch steams. a well grounded chap without a big ego. very open about his own mental health issues and personal problems. which is nice. his entire story is pretty interesting which they touch on in the interviews. he went from renting his own place and a fiance. to loosing his house his job and his finace. living in a shed at his mums house, depression and contemplating suiside. then he started making youtube videos on something he enjoyed. sim racing. now he is one of the bigest sim racing streamers arround. just got his own house, and some nice japanese cars and is now racing in real life which is his dream.
  9. No i wasnt. But one did go past us in the other direction. I assume you didnt miss it But i was behind you and infront of you a bit in a black evo wagon. Very clean looking car. Looked nice
  10. Yeah that's what the garage thaught too.
  11. because its has an old school AEM v1 which i believe needs it? And swapping the ecu out for something newer is more money than i have floating arroound spare or is worth for the ammount i drive the car.
  12. Finally home safe and sound. "New" DLI fitted by the garage and it fired right up and ran perfectly. And actually running better than before!
  13. Yeah would have been good. We didn't we left the car in Hereford and went home by train. Got home about 10:30pm I think. Car is safe in the recovery company's compound for now untill someone has some diesel to get it over to the garage where iv booked it in. Just need to find a replacement hks DLI. But I'm not sure if it's a v1 or a V2. From the pictures I think it's a v1
  14. Well I managed to get from Tesco to Asda because Tesco fuel was closed by the time the tank was empty. But it ran super rough. Missfires and backfired a whole lot and randomly would stall. Barely restarted it each time. Then stalled in the entrance to Asda fuel and never got going. Put even more fuel in. Which didn't help. Cleaned the spark plugs. Nothing. Fuel pump runs, has fuel pressure on my fuel pressure guage. Then when trying to get it running the hks DLI started smoking. Then we ran out of ideas and tools it's 5am and I just got back to my room (in a taxy). Aa are coming to pick up the car and take us home tomorrow. There is more to the story but I'll spare you all the details. We were supposed to continue our trip to Bath after tomorrow for 3 nights. Which is money I can't get back because it was non refundable. We might still get a rental tomorrow once I'm home to at least try and do that. Unfortunately my other car is also in the garage. I know you guys will want to help. And probably have suggestions. And thankyou. But I'm done with it now and incredibly agrovated upset and angry at myself and the world. So please. Don't share them or tell me what I did wrong or could have done. I don't want to hear it. Have fun tomorrow chaps.
  15. Lifesaver mate. They are on the way. Aa are too busy and probably take ages. Costing me more money but at this point I don't care. Unless something else goes wrong please come say hello tomorrow. I'm driving a copper coloured car, stock bodywork with a TRD wing. I don't drink so probably won't be in the bar but if you grab me at the hotel tomorrow night I'll get you a drink.
  16. Waiting to find out. They can't tow it because it's too low. Waiting to see if the aa have a fuel van available. Told them I'm happy to sit here all night if I can get running for tomorrow. Hope iv not damaged the spark plugs or something tho. But iv only driven it 100m
  17. Yeah. Like a plonker iv somehow put diesel in it.
  18. Recovery guy will be here in a few mins to find out what's actually wrong. If I needs to be flushed out then they will take it and do it tomorrow morning. Unless it's some other issue.
  19. The more I think about it maybe I did put the wrong fuel in. I'm pretty sure I didn't... But I can't be 100% recovery coming to check me out anyway. But isn't putting diesel in a petrol pretty difficult because they don't fit? Unless because its an old import the petrol opening is bigger.
  20. Definately smelt like it. And it was instant. Not like I drove it down the road a bit then it started acting up. I could barely get it out of the pump. Is OVER filling even a thing? Maybe I put too much in. Lol
