I am told a squeeky tailgate is caused by the rubbers on the tailgate and hatch perishing - what's the best thing to do? I have tried WD40 and this stops the squeek for a while but it comes back. Can I buy replacement rubbers or is there a fix?

I had three messages - two from USA and one from Scotland ( prob a Yank ) with the same message and link. Forwarded them to [email protected] and was advised " action had been taken". Anyone get one just forward them and then delete. Hopefully the b****ers will get caught.

OK Disconnected battery but the odometer is still stuck. If anyone thinks they can help ( Pounds in hands) and live near Fleet in Hants get in touch and I'll bring it over. Jack

Hi Lots of stuff - on mine I have no error codes. The digits are displayed solid - no flickering but won't move. The trip meter also stuck on zero. Gonna try disconnecting battery tomorrow to see if that cures it if not - in Arnie fashion I'll be back..... Jack

HI I just replaced my Cat 1 alarm as the fobs wouldn't work and it was going to cost £ 125 to have them modded. The alarm still worked but you had to manually disarm the immobilier with a key. The replacement cost me £ 399 fitted. I have the old alarm and cert which you can have for a drink.

I have a one only 245/40/17 Contisportcontact for sale. Has around 6mm tread. Bought it as a spare for my wife's SLK but then found a new one. Tyre is in Fleet Hants and needs to be collected. These cost about £ 120 new - yours for £ 40 .

Hi guys - thanks for the info. I will try the disconnecting the battery. Stevie - if this doesn't work I'll get in touch if that's OK. All the digits are showing - just not moving ( bit like me really ) JohnC - I just moved to The Heath I will slow dow . I've also seen the red one and another black one too.

Doh! Just had the car MOT'd and they must have poked about underneath 'cos my odomter and trip meter has stopped clocking up! I am told there are two sensors on the gearbox - one for the speedo and one for the odometer but the only tools I have is a knife and fork ( and the knife's blunt! ) Anyone know where I can take it - I am post code GU51 - Fleet in Hampshire... Thanks
