  1. You don't want to worry about setting all the units so they measure the same, you want to set them so the car sits at the right height. Corner weight adjustment will then ensure that the weights on the left wheels match those on the right. An ordinary wheel alignment place might not have the faintest idea what you're on about if you say "corner weights". A good performance car specialist, particular if they do race or track cars is where you want to look.
  2. I would have a word with Chris Wilson. Those coilover units can be tricky to set. You need to get the ride height set and then set the corner weights. Not something you can do without the right equipment.
  3. Change it - should sort your problem.
  4. Shouln't be - Category D: A damaged vehicle which the insurer has decided not to repair, but which could be repaired and returned to the road.
  5. There never has been anything good on TV on a saturday evening. That's why the Indian restaurant was invented:) but we don't have many in France:(
  6. We still have it France but its called "Interville". My favourite bit involves contestants avoiding a bull. Unlikely that Health 'n' Safety would allow it in Britain.
  7. It says hedge fund manager (previous owner?) or footballer's car. It will cost a LOT to run. Personal opinion only, I don't like them.
  8. To me, cars are for driving. All Supras were immaculate, low mileage examples at some stage in their lives. Museums are for Morris Minors!
  9. Get the geometry checked. It always pays to have your tyres pointing in the right direction.
  10. An American Bulldog might eat your Supra:(
  11. I'm old enough not to need a mortgage!
  12. I wouldn't advise filling your Supra with "pétrole"! L'essence Super 98 would be a better bet.
  13. Salut mec! How did you get around the DRIRE with a JDM car? PM me if you like
  14. Sometimes your filenames could be a bit more descriptive Chris. The alternator belt-driven from a CV joint seems a popular choice. That manifold is a piece of art. I once ran a sports 2000 in a 9 hour race and changed batteries in the pit stops! But that was a carb engine of course.
  15. Hi and welcome. I have to ask... can you register that car in The Netherlands? I thought EU type approval would be an issue.
  16. Here in France a Supra is for burning... http://www.supra.fr
  17. Strictly speaking track days are non-competitive:taped:
  18. I read his book and he seems to be bemused by all the fuss made over him. Does he want a state funeral?
  19. What series are you building the car in this spec for?
  20. Need4Speed

    Im very upset

What? Only 14 pages... I was just getting interested.
  21. Back to the reliability question, I had mine 4 years (50,000 miles) and it was very reliable. They are all old cars now so parts will need replacing and you will want to do mods... you will. Don't expect a cheap to run car, but do expect real value for money
  22. That sounds to me like a stripped thread. If the nut is turning and the damper rod isn't and the nut's not coming off, what else can it be? My bet is the nut has stripped not the damper rod. Can you get a nut splitter on it?
  23. You could use one of those THOR/TRL signal converters, they have an adjuster which allows you to set your speedo accurately. Try setting against a GPS such as a Road Angel on a straight M-way.
