  1. Paul Good bhp - weld the pulleys?
  2. Not a good idea and the pipework would be a nightmare. My idea behind 2 intercoolers is that the compressed air from the first intercooler would be re-routed at the elbow behind the radiator to go through the second intercooler before coming back up to the throttle-body.
  3. ps. I use UK 4 pots AND Porterfield R4 pads. No fade but I detect a bit of disc warp on the track; worth every penny.
  4. Fit spacers as an alternative. Whoever invented sliding calipers should have been shot. this will vary according to the rims in question - find someone with UK brakes and try a wheel swap to gauge the problem.
  5. I was thinking more of making a mirror image one. You shouldn't lose pressure if the connecting pipes are ok.
  6. Just a thought. I don't want to use a FMIC so has anybody ever made a second intercooler to fit in the empty side (N/S bumper) and run them in series?
  7. No doubt Chris will reply, but I've had mine at Sliverstone GP and Goodwood and there is no oil surge problem.
  8. The oval bit has no run-off, just a very unforgiving concrete wall but as the only bit used normally is turn 4 and the home straight, you're not going fast enough to worry. You will need brakes for the chicane at the end of the straight for the chicane just before turn 1. The infield is a bit Mickey Mouse. Worth going for the oval section alone. The Circuit Guide describes the turn 4 as "designed for much higher speeds than even the quickest car can achieve from a hairpin start, the banking should be flat out for everybody" Maybe I'll book.
  9. As far as I know, they limit at 6900rpm (ish). Mine's and auto and that's about an indicated 135mph in third.
  10. At least you have a boost gauge and are paying attention to what it's telling you.
  11. Any other warning lights or odd sounds or anything really?
  12. Just back to diffs for a moment, if you drive away on full lock at low speed, you can feel an LSD immediately.
  13. Personal opinion - Auto for road use, manual for track days. (The auto ratios are too spaced for the manual overide on the auto box)
  14. You've got to be crazy Simon. If the bearing's gone the seals won't be anywhere near perfect. This is like changing a clutch plate but not the release bearing - while the gearbox is out... Why is it people buy what was a £40,000 supercar and expect it to cost Ford Escort prices to maintain?
  15. Darren, you're not the extreme silver Veilside are you?
  16. Matt Isn't it Blitz Access ECU - only £100... NOT!
  17. If it's your car Darren, you've already got TRL FCD, HKS S TYPE FMIC, BLITZ DSBC so there's nothing in it for you.
  18. Expansion is not really an issue. If you get a fitting problem, use thin wheel spacers. Otherwise find a contact on this bbs who's got the brakes and negotiate a try-the-wheel on their car. This may cost you alcohol of some sort.
  19. Would this be in the Canterbury area? The BHP all depends on what level of boost you're seeing.
  20. I would imagine you can source the bearing from a bearing supplier, but as Chris Wilson is in the same part of the country, it would be an idea to talk to him.
  21. Supra + Diesel/ice, tc on or offf, you want your foot off the right pedal Alex
  22. The trick is to feel the second turbo come on and balance the throttle. I've just taken the cats out and turbo no. 2 is now VERY noticeable... take me to the tyre dealer!
  23. Most likely brake fluid level. The fluid doesn't evaporate so check your pads. Another thing to look for to confirm this is brake warning light on rapid acceleration. The fluid will surge both ways.
