  1. Optimistic for a J-spec with a std IC. My dyno figures for this were 360BHP. A decat will not increase power per-se, it will just allow the boost to increase and therefore increase power. You can get exactly the same figures with a boost controller and maintain total control of your boost. 400BHP is what I was told my engine produced ("no we haven't had it on a dyno/RR") but 360 was the actual figure.
  2. I'm looking to replace my tatty 17" split-rims with a decent set of 18s. Can anybody (ha ha) advise on 1 piece 5 spokes in silver that will clear UK brakes and fit standard arches. The manufacturer needs to be well established so I can replace 1 rim if I manage to do what I've just done to my 17s.
  3. Do you mean you've installed but not wired, so it's not yet working?
  4. I have a translated installation and set-up manual if you want a copy.
  5. While we're on this subject; what spec anti-freeze and what is the coolant capacity of a J-spec TT?
  6. Increasing the castor will weight the steering more. Does it have decent feel now? I'm interested in your camber settings because I was thinking about decreasing the rear to run only 1 degree while running 1.5 at the front. My car has very positive turn in but is wild at the rear on damp/wet roads.
  7. Personal view - I run cat one out, cat 2 in, Blitz Dual SBC and a Nür exhaust. Cat one out lets heat get away OK. I can run from 0.8 bar to 1.2 bar quite happily. I don't think the car is practical with cat 2 out as well - power delivery is too savage. But then I drive in the wet without TC!
  8. Interesting camber settings; what size tyres are you running?
  9. Top mileage was 363 on a tank, worst was 86 (track).
  10. Nanny state! Tell them it's for cleaning "safety" cameras. You wouldn't drink it, Tesco Vodka's cheaper. Hey, why not use Tesco Vodka? It works on my Lada! Sorry, not a very technical comment I know.
  11. Just go to your Toyota dealer and buy a new one. Actually buy two and do the other side as well. It's and exteremly easy job and you can't repair them. I think they're about £17 each but I may be wrong - didn't keep the bill.
  12. The higher you go, the greater the advantage of a turbo car over a n/a car.
  13. AFAIK split-rims are only lacquered only on the centre so you'll need to look after the rim part religously. I've given up on my 3-piece rims, and at over £800 to restore them just so they can go again, who can blame me.
  14. If you've bought a new Nür, it comes with the gaskets.
  15. Buy one piece unless you want to spend all w/e with a tooth-brush... or do as I do and just cover them in carbon brake dust:eek:
  16. A gathering I get to know about before it happens? I may be there.
  17. If you go all winter with the air-con off, the chances are you will have to recharge it in the spring as the gas will gradually escape. I use mine all the time because it de-humidifies in winter and keeps your windows clear. The fuel consumption overhead on a car like the Supra is irrelevant.
  18. If you look in the Technical section there's a complete step by step guide to headlight restoration.
  19. Wez, within the parameters I set out (up to 1.1 or 1.2 bar) and bhp per £ spent at this level of tune I stand by my statement.
