This morning 17th, red UK spec in Luto Airport car park and a white one with white rims (and a puncture) on the northbound M1 around J10-J14. I only ever see non-members' cars, so... anybody own either of these two?

That is "a lot of money for not a lot". The parts will cost you well under £1000 with pads etc. It's very easy to do yourself if you have a few basic tools (and I do mean basic tools) and a decent garage/driveway.

Lower the car so much that a jack won't go underneath... that'll slow 'em down. Lexus GS300 Sport rims fit very nicely. Quite a few people bought them last year. Use Search...

Check your ARB drop-links and top suspension mounts (among all the other things mentioned in this thread).

A complete fill and bleed will take just over one litre - done it twice recently.

Those are J-Spec sliding caliper brakes and the pad shape is the same as the GS300. The UK calipers are proper opposed-piston ones. Have a look here http://www.sixplus.co.uk/suprabrakeswap/ for the difference on the front brakes. Who invented sliding calipers and why?

Jake - dunno about the backplate... it was the only issue with the fronts.

My dash is looking tired so I'm thinking of a paint-job - any recommendations in SE England? Anybody got any pics of thiers?

I did the fronts a couple of years ago and now need new rear discs and pads, so I'm planning to do the UK conversion. Apart from a back-plate to remove are there any other issues. I have the part numbers.

Cheers Gaz, have your prices changed since I looked into this end of last year? Is the 98 stalk a std available Toyota part and functionally the same as the earlier one?

I used my GPS to calibrate my speedo.

I've had mine for nearly 2 years and it's mounted directly above the tacho in line of sight. The only problem I have is reflection of the display in the screen at night. A simple bit of black card solved that. I've also got the laser detector, but I'm not sure if it works.

Justin, the wheels are fine, but I scrapped the fronts so was left with these. They've got a pair of 275/35Z17 S01s on but they are knackered.
