  1. How can anybody think that an idea that lets the state follow you around by electronic means is a good thing?
  2. Have you seen Kenny Brack's Indy accident? I have a still photo and it's hard to see the third car (his). He lived and is fairly OK, but his career didn't. Alex Zanardi's accident is unbelievable when you consider he lost all but 1 litre of blood, but is racing again. Fantastic driver!
  3. Jeff Krosnoff was killed in that accident in 96, so was Greg Moore. I saw both live on TV. I met Greg in 1998 - an easy going guy and very good driver.
  4. Here's another pic - the wheels were 0 miles when it was taken. http://www.sixplus.co.uk/supra/assets/lexus.jpg
  5. 689 people have looked but nobody has bid. I wonder if the seller has any ideas why! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18290&item=4554195396&rd=1
  6. Have you still got that Super Sports or whatever it was?
  7. A quick question to all you with HKS cams. If I fit 264s, does it make a big difference to bottom rev performance and do they have a noticeable power band? What sort of bhp gain am I likely to get?
  8. I wouldn't have said a Blitz Nür-Spec R was restrictive... you can just about walk through it! No silencer? Expect to get stopped.
  9. I'll get round there with a card then!
  10. It's a fair cop! I didn't see any club idents on the car so thought you were fair game. What did you think of that Skyline in the GT race - £53,000 to you mate.
  11. I've seen this car parked at the side of the road several times (lives there I guess) Black with Veilside wing and ...a tow-bar... L140*** Anybody know this one?
  12. Don't forget to carry 1000€ to cover the speeding tickets
  13. Different tyres will probably work better on different cars. It's important to buy current tyres, not old ones that have been lying around in a warehouse for a year. I bought my Michelins when I was in France and they come with a "only pay for the wear" package if I have a puncture (anywhere in the EU). The come out and replace the tyre and I pay only for the tread I've worn and if they can't match the other (side) tyre model and compound they give me a matching tyre for the other one 24/7. Not bad! I rate the tyres highly - we'll see what track performance is like at Japfest
  14. Can anyone post a few pics of these fitted to a Supra - particularly the carbon fibre one.
  15. As long as it's got a small engine (1.1 or 1.3 at most) it will sell as a first car for 17/18 year old student type. Otherwise it's too expensive to insure. I sold one a while back for £350.
  16. Got to agree with Bobbeh - it's a ricer. But I now know how to deal with getting cool air to my diff... I must go and cut a hole in my roof and fit a stylish scoop like that... NOT! That is a disgusting example of the breed.
  17. That must be a first! Whatever next... stopping cyclists jumping red lights?
  18. Sky offered me an agreed value policy for a small extra fee. I was told this was to be supported by photo and documentary evidence. As my car is an every-day car and not a super-pretty one I turned down the option. It may be worth considering it if you have a tasty looking car. It does amaze me that premiums differ so much. Remember that Privilege, Direct Line and Tesco are all the same insurance company, part of Royal Bank of Scotland. I also tried Tesco and was told they wouldn't touch a J-Spec, modded or not!
  19. I forgot to mention in addition to £380 less premium I've also got a £400 lower excess. I think we should all drive our Supras to Sky and buy them all a beer!
  20. I've just moved my cover to Sky Insurance as of April - Big saving of over £300. Well worth the call and thanks to the club members who put the deal together
  21. Big saving over Privilege - in fact so big I'm double checking everything
  22. I will give them a call this week and see what they can offer.
