  1. 35psi cold all round... After a serious bit of driving they can be up by 10psi just with heat in the tyres. And no, the pressure will not affect wheel vibration.
  2. So nobody here has a clue?
  3. I don't think you'll lug that lot through Heathrow without attracting the attention of HM Customs!
  4. A very dull question. J-spec GZ; my passenger seat used to slide forward automatically when the backrest was tilted to allow rear passenger access - and now it doesn't slide. There must be a simple catch somewhere?
  5. The Cusco one is pretty, but you can bend it over your knee, so I don't think it's going to do much chassis stiffening.
  6. Hope you've got no bearing rumbles! If you didn't get the red light then you maintained oil pressure - probably you're OK, hence the orange oil light before the red one!
  7. If you've lost a whole sump-full, you have a big leak or there wasn't any oil. If the light has just come on but there's no oil in the sump... 1) You've dipped it incorrectly 2) Your oil light was very late telling you 3) You've lost litres of oil quickly I hope it's 1. Fill it up again and keep an eye out for leaks/smoke (tons of it) and an ear open for bearing rumbles.
  8. Cusco N/A and TT front braces are different. I suspect they are more bling than performance - but I need a track day to check this theory. I can't imagine a rear one does much for the chassis.
  9. If you've got 4 pot calipers then you've got the bigger brakes
  10. As someone who has done the upgrade and used the car on track, a UK front/Jap rear will work OK. I use Porterfield R4 pads and AP Racing fluid. I've never had any fade - just remeber to do a cool down lap.
  11. I've just seen that yellow one in Brentford - VERY NASTY!
  12. Check out the high performance scary car (RWD!!) on eBay here
  13. I've never had a problem with any high octane fuel, including French supermarkets.
  14. The government is not going to do anything which reduces it's revenue, so expect to pay more. They already collect huge amounts of money from us by the simple means of taxing fuel and the road fund licence. To introduce road charging must increase their revenue, otherwise why would they do it? On top of all that is the sheer cost of implementing the system - it all has to be paid for and you can bet they won't do it by cutting back on the welfare state! A very important issue with GPS car tracking should be raised here. Anybody who enjoys driving quickly must realise the implications for measuring a car's speed in these proposals. Not only could a speeding offence be detected and an automatic ticket sent out, but your speed can also be limited by GPS control systems. A pilot scheme has been tried out in the UK already. Not only does it mean your car could be resticted to the speed limit at all times, but it will aslo allow the police to impose speed limits on roads because of weather or for any other reason. So, support road charging if you like, but it will cost you more and it will restrict your driving.
  15. Optimum settings will vary with rim size/tyre size and ride height
  16. Cheers Rajinder, that answers my question.
  17. Feltham Tyre Centre near Heathrow have just done mine - Caster, Camber, Toe, front and rear. Usual computerised stuff. I had too much camber and rear a toe problem.
  18. Has anybody got photos of a Cusco front strut-brace on both a TT and N/A. I'm looking for differences in the mountings.
  19. Not sure a crankless engine would be much use. I would have the engine out. It's got to be easier to check and rebuild in a workshop (assuming you have one) or garage than with the engine still in situ. I must admit, I'm surprised it's not holed pistons. Best of luck and I hope it turns out simpler than it appears Jake.
  20. There's obviously a regulation saying headlights and indicators must be fitted! Love the front indicators particularly.
  21. Sounds like a 2nd turbo failure
  22. Oh! At last - a serious car! I want to do a few laps of Goodwood in THAT!
