  1. J-spec cars have Engine No. NOT KNOWN because it's too difficult to read it on the block without taking the engine out, and Japan doesn't require it to be recorded. I agree, if you're changing an engine, get it noted on the V5 so it matches the car when (if) you sell it. Transmission would affect it if you added another axle!
  2. I can't believe people watch shows like that!
  3. Changing engine will require a change of engine no. to be recorded by DVLA. To need completely re-registering you would need to be re-shelling at least. They don't care what the transmission is. I don't think you can register a Q plated car with anything other than a Q plate or maybe a non-dating plate - ABC 123 etc. And a Q plate will devalue your car.
  4. Yes - take oout the gauge cluster and it's a straight swap - 3 or 4 screws if I remember correctly.
  5. I rate Chris's SMIC highly. It's well engineered and it works.
  6. Thios may sound dim, but have you tried talking to Apple?
  7. Pics? You have headlights, I have money... it's possible we could swap...
  8. I've fitted one of these and can recommend it to anyone who's got an original in tatty condition. Very steady boost and no more spikes.
  9. They were on the rear of my J-spec Supra - no spacers, no caliper clearance problems.
  10. I've got a pair of 10Jx17" split rims for sale - might be useful for drag racing? they need cleaning, but make me an offer. PS I'm going to scrap them if I don't get an offer!
  11. In boxes - as in they're new? Send me a pic please [email protected]

  13. I used to be involved in cutting films for Saudi... they all start off tame, but you don't want to be the one who missed something and didn't cut it!
  14. Don't forget, everything gets viewed by BBFC. That means Disney cartoons as well. And as for porno, it has to be very lightweight Adult Channel stuff to get a cert. even an 18. I think Tiff Needell has it better.
  15. I'm not a truck driver but have driven big vans with trailers and I have sympathy with most truck drivers. It takes ages to get your speed up so you try to keep it up at all cost. I always tried not to pull infront of faster traffic, but a Supra, of all cars needs, little effort to get its speed up again! Wait till you've had to drive one before being too critical.
  16. I'm unsubscribing from this thread - I've seen enough!
  17. Never had the slightest problem with Toyota dealers - never waited more than two working days for any part.
  18. You don't give your location. If you're anywhere near Heathrow, PM me and I'll give you a contact.
  19. You can just go to any Toyota dealer...
  20. That is 100% horrific. What is that "scoop" made of? a cornflakes box?:thumbdown
  21. G'day, as you say. Welcome. I rate my Supra as the most reliable car I've had. In 3½ years my car has only used normal wear and tear parts - tyres, discs/pads, oil/filters and plugs. Plus one intercooler. Brilliant! As mild as a BMW 525 when you want to mild and wilder than a 911 when you want to be wild.
  22. The disc in the pic is at least 40,000 miles old and I suspect it to be the original factory fitting.
  23. Hats off to Emmo... 58 years old! I doubt anybody (apart from me and Chris Wilson:innocent: ) in this club could give him a run for his money (and we're a bit younger)
