  1. Corvette C5 Convertible...
  2. He's a member already, but I'll leave him to announce his new acquisition himself - his first Supra!
  3. I've just sold the best car I've owned:cry:but it's gone to a good home:)

    Oil change

Park the car on level ground. With the engine off, remove and wipe the dipstick, then dip it and check the level against the marker, top up as required. There's nothing special about the Supra as far as this is concerned.
  5. I'm really saddened to hear this story because whether we knew Karl or not he was a car nut like the rest of. Most of us have been near the big one and got away with it, tragically he didn't. It's a very fine line that divides the hit from the near miss. We should remember him because he had our bad luck... we're all still here to enjoyour cars.
  6. Is this one of the "de-restrict and convert a J-spec" issues?
  7. I see a few RHD cars... does that mean you can import and register J-spec cars?
  8. Pad Squeal is usually a problem with race pads. You do need the anti rattle sprins though. The Caliper bolts are all the same.
  9. I've just spoken to Toyota who tell me that because of the age of my Supra (1993) it can't be re-gassed because of it being an old a/c gas that is now banned! Anybody know anything about this? I've just done some research into R12 gas here http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg349.pdf
  10. Toyota are doing a complete service/dye test/bacteria removal/regas etc... for £99
  11. I've just discovered that Michelin's online map system shows all the fixed speed cameras in France. Worth a look if you're planning a trip. http://www.viamichelin.co.uk
  12. My advice is buy one from a member of this club and get a car that's been in the country a while - or a UK car of course.
  13. Probably pie in the sky and short of budget - or has it been seen?
  14. Isn't the relevant piece of info what was your insurance cost before you went single as post codes and whether it's garaged make a huge difference.
  15. Even if you get charged VAT and import duty, that's still a good price. I've changed my shocks and top mounts, it's def. not the wheel bearings and it's not the tailgate knocking, so drop links are the next thing to try.
  16. Can you clear your PM box please!
  17. Always think "how was this built?" (because it was) and the solution usually follows.
  18. Have I missed something or has there been no mention of what rim widths we're taking about?
  19. Seen in Elmfield Road Gosforth by a "relative". White with some body kit bits. C10 ***. Sort of a long distance spot because I was in London at the time!
  20. Full lock makes it all possible and I jack under the rear of the inboard wishbone mounts.
  21. Tell the seller that the MkIV Supra club says they don't fit a MkIV Supra!!!
  22. I use a Snap-on breaker bar and 17mm socket. No problem, and it's easy to see why good tools are worth the money - I bought them 10 years ago and they're still 100%. Yes - I do this all the time. You should have no problem jacking one side enough to get the tyre off the ground, then stick in an axle stand and repeat on the other side.
