1. I imported it into France and later sold it to a guy in Paris. It had an endless series of minor problems culminating in the diff cooler splitting and Toyota France having to get one from Japan. In all the time I've lived here I've only seen one LHD car (and only three RHD UK imports), they are that rare. Here is my UK car with the one LHD car I've seen.
2. Could you post a link to said thread pls?
3. I’ve just realised I’ve been a club member for 20 years. It’s been some time since I sold my last Supra and they’re rare/expensive here so I don’t suppose I’ll own another. So how many people here have 20 years of Supra behind them? Im amused to see I am rated “newbie”!

5. So, with hindsight, putting the repair through your insurance company was a mistake? The legality is that a SH part leaves the fitter liable if it fails whereas a new part is the liability of the manufacturer. It's a tough call and that looks such a nice car. I'm sure a Toyota dealer somewhere has one. Toyota dealers in France look blank when you say Supra - most have never seen one. I think they only sold 39.
6. Have a look here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?260458-Mattsson-mkiv-RHD-LHD-and-NA-T-Convension&highlight=Sweden Good luck
7. Do you need to convert to LHD for legal reasons? I had a RHD in France and had no problems driving it. Most Supras in France are RHD because Toyota only sold about 40 cars here; the majority come from England.
8. I have a set of scruffy but technically OK locking nuts for aftermarket rims. They'd be ideal for use under a wheel centre (or if your rims don't care!). £10 including postage - Paypal only please. They'll be binned on Friday if no takers.
9. I've got a Goodyear 235 40/ZR18 91Y with about 7mm on it. It will be in East Kent if anybody wants to collect (June 1st and 2nd) - make me a reasonable offer. It's going in the skip if nobody wants it. Also 10 std UK front wheel studs and a set of scruffy lock-nuts.
10. I would expect to do the whole lap in 3rd (apart from Druids) with an auto. You should have no problems with your brakes but expect your tyre pressures to go well up. If you have a mate in the pits, come in after a few laps and drop the pressures. Don't boot it in the middle of any corner. Learn the circuit before you push it. Remember the way to a quick lap is to come out of a corner quicker than you went in. If you go in too hot you'll lose speed onto the straight - not that there is a real straight at Brands Indy. The entrance to Paddock bend is blind so you'll need to learn it - probably they'll have cones out to show the turn-in point. Keep it smooth and you should be OK. ps. I was an instructor there a few years ago and have done a few (thousand) laps!
11. I can't believe I just posted a thread on track-day car weight...
12. I'm thinking of building a track-day car (not road registered) for circuits rather than drag-strip and would like any advice on how low can the weight of a TT go before major shell modifications start. I'm expecting to remove all trim, underseal, plastic windows apart from the screen and use lightweight doors, front wings, bonnet etc. What is a realistic minimum achievable weight?
