  1. Done mine no problem on a ramp bit of a pig to get to makes it a lot simpler if you strip away a couple of bracket type parts that will bocome obvious when you look. i used a socket on a long wobble bar and all went ok but i did talk to chris wilson before i started and he talked me throw how to do it and what tools to use
  2. justin can i bring my 250 national kart top speed 160 ish or 0-100 and back to 0 quicker than a mclaren fi
  3. This may sound srange but i have a j spec tt with a full de cat and a nur spec r the sup pulls harder and feels quicker with the baffle in
  4. see ya there guys only live 15 minutes away take me dog there a couple of times a week for a walk
  5. thanks for that pete i run the nur spec on mine with the baffle in mainly because its so blody loud with it out but i will try with it out for a few days to see what happens. did it make a big difference to performance with hybreds and do you have to up grade the full system on a j spec when you fit them
  6. I’ve got a hks boost gauge fitted strange thing is that after the mods and a full de cat it still would not boost above 0.9 bar strange as j spec supras normally over boost I had to fit a bleed tee to raise the boost ive got it set to bang on 1.2 bar. one thing since ive had these mods you can now hear the standard dump valve open were as you could not here this previously could it be that under full throttle when the auto box changes up and the butterfly closes in the throttle body that the standard dump valve can not handle the extra boost causing the turbos to stall
  7. Any ideas on this car spec auto j spec gz aerotop tt full cw de cat and bleed tee running 1.2 bar colder grade spark plugs trl fcd blits nur spec r When excelrating from a standing start at full throttle the car takes of like a rocket but when it changes up into second the power seems to back of for about 1 to 2 seconds and the warning triangle comes on lift off the throttle and plant you’re foot back on the loud pedal and all seems ok again this only ever happens from first gear no problems at all when I give it full throttle in second apart from th8is the car runs fine any ideas chers billy
  8. excuse me if this has been done before but can the exhaust manifold on a jspec tt be polished and ported if so would this give any performance gains i e faster turbo spool up lower egt's
  9. that extra .2 bar makes a big Big difference can now sit at 60 leptons in the dry kick down and spin the back wheels try it you will notice it
  10. i have a j spec with cw de cat pipes and a blitz nur spec r i could only hit 1 bar checked all hoses etc but all were ok so i fitted a bleed valve now hitting 1.2 bar i doubt theres anything wrong with youre car they all seam to react differently after a de cat remember getting boost up is a piece of cake holding it down is much harder .
  11. chers i think i will stick somthing a bit thicker in that case
  12. i have been given some mobil 1 0 30 synthetic oil is this ok to use in the sup or should i stick with 10 30
  13. grandprix racewear do a 52 mm combined spa design duel boost pressure and egt gauge for £252.21 it does psi or bar temp in f or c is back lit in red or green has warning lights and outputs and a max value memory and as it is 52.mm it will fit straight in the standard clock hole ther web site is http://www.grandprixracewear.com or phone 08701 600 950 i do a bit of 125cc gearbox kart racing and i get quite a bit of kit from them im out testing my mates new 250.cc kart this weekend if like me you think the sup is quick of the line have a go in a gearbox race kart 0 to 60 = 2.5 sec
  14. i to have cw down pipes with a blitz nur spec r i make 1 bar of boost i think all cars differ you will just have to try and see cw pipes are real top quality and chris is a great guy allways willing to give advise
  15. That sounds about right to me i have got a de cat and nur spec r i get about the same at idle and about 0.8 bar under medium acceleration
  16. Sounds good to me How much are they and can you supply them
  17. Cheers Chris. as you know I am currently making 1 bar how accurately can you achieve 1.2 bar by fitting a bleed t can you set it spot on or will ambient air temp affect it making you have to constantly adjust it
  18. chris if i get you to fit an uprated side mount intercooler and water injection what then woud be the max safe boost you can run on a j spec with stock fueling and turbo's
  19. i have now cheked all the pipes for leaks and re piped the boost gauge it was teed into the vacume servo pipe i have now teed it in to were cw advised me to [thanks for all youre help chris] but still only hitting max 1 bar the car is only a weekend toy and has only done 20k miles i am now wondering if its just a matter of having a particularly good waste gate that is flowing enough to keep the boost down
  20. chris i will take a digital picture over the week end and email it to you so you can take a closer look if all else fails can i bring the car up to you for a check up
  21. Hi chris I'v got the gauge you supplied sitting in my garage. I whent to see Justin a couple of weeks ago, to get some clear front indicators, when i was there he showed me a nice new HKs mechanical boost gauge. (I could n't resist it) so his mecanic fitted it in place of the existing clock while i was there. Looking under the bonnet it would appear that he has teed it in to a black hose close to the bulk head on the throttle side of the car. It just does n't seem to boast above 1 bar no matter what the ambient air temp is. Not worried about this, just wondered if it was normal. Regards Billy
  22. that sounds possible ill take the ties off and try it.if there is any one else with a simular set up can you please post what boost you are making
  23. i will check the gauge connections again tomorow the hosses are done up on the tee piece with cable ties is this ok or should i swap them for jubilee clips
  24. Well I have finally done it. fitted my two cw down pipes and a blitz nur spec, hks boost gauge, and trl fuel cut defender to my j spec tt auto. taken it for a few fast runs with the nur spec baffle both in and out right up past five grand in top gear but I cant get the boost to go above 1 bar I have tried at all different times of day to see if air temp makes a difference but get the same result every time, bang on 1 bar I spoke to cw and he said he thought it should make about 1.1 to 1.2 bar ive cheeked all hoses etc but all seem ok just wondered if anyone on the board had had a similar result after doing a full de cat Billy

    Trl Fcd

Just fitted my trl fcd. on the instructions i downloaded it shows blue red black and green wires but on the unit itself it has grey red black and green wires. does anybody know if i am right in assuming its just a miss print and that the blue wire in the instructions is the grey wire on the unit chers billy
