I had the same problem it feels like the turbo is catching its breath then the power comes back It tuned out to be a dodgy de limiter that was fitted changed it for the thor de limiter and it transformed the car

Fully decatted and still only seeing stock boost

fitted chris wilson double de cat pipes and nur spec r to my supe and it still only boosted to 0.9 bar had to fit bleed T to get it to 1.2 bar -
what is the standard temp gauge showing i run twin electric fans that cut in at 92 first fan 97 second fan on a sensor in the bottom hose so my top hose is over 100 not had any problems with this set up in the last 2 years i also have an electric water pump if i disconect it so it does not circulate the gauge goes throw the roof in a matter of seconds

a good mate of mine runs his company at dunsfold park were the top gear track is i only live 20 mins away he has given me a pass to get on the site 24 /7 so far ive been round the track in my supra my wife's civic type r and my mates caterham by far the best fun was in the caterham

i have a civic type r as well as my supe got it new 18 months a go for my wife. use it all week as a run around use the supra at week ends 200 bhp is plenty in a type r any more through the f w d would be a right handfull on the road

i have the chris wilson setup must say its fantastic chris can fine tune the set up to suite youre driving style chris knows that i play with 250 cc gearbox karts at the weekends so tuned the suspention to suite what like no over steer no under steer just shit loads of grip

i started fitting my carbon dash today but im am strugling to get the Cigarette Lighter out of the old dash panel has anyone else done this any suggestions

Thanks for all youre replies interesting stuf two things i still need to know 1 at what temp should you set the electirc fans to come on and 2 is the fans blowing hot air over the boost pipe and air box detrimental to performance

do you think im getting more heat soak then with the stock fan or is the hot air thats getting pulled throw the rad still lower than the heat build up in the engine bay also is the stock fan pull or push

Ive done away with the stock fan and gone twin electric with a shroud. question is the electric fans are puller type and pull air throw the rad then blow the hot air all over the engine bay when they are running. the stock air box and boost pipe get quite hot when the car is up to temp and the fans are running . can this be detrimental to performance and if so would it be better to make the fans push from the engine bay out throw the rad

the thinner rad that sits in front of the main rad is the aircon rad

the fan in front is the air con fan the one at the back by the throttle body is is the extra rad cooling fan it linked in to a stat at the bottom of the rad comes on at approx 97 degres to give extra cooling if you get the car hot then turn on the air con you will see the fan on the front cut in and out as its required by the air con only know this because i have fitted twin electric fans and had to remove the extra rad cooling fan
