for sale UK 6 Speed Single (converted from auto)
Chris and Alana replied to Stuliet's topic in Supra Classifieds
What is the price as the old thread has a few different prices in there -
I do really like your lexus it looks stunning but I dont have that type of money spare at the moment to put towards it I have just been offered an Altezza RS200 which was really nice but its due all the service work (timing belt etc) and I have just done it all on the Caldina so didnt fancy forking out for all that again. and the guy changed his clocks aswel and now cant prove milage so I dont want it but it was appealing with that yamaha engine. Its the same car as the IS200 I think. How much power does that Lexus make?

I think the permanent 4wd is one killer on the juice over most cars, but its the Mrs that mainly wants to change car. She would like something smaller to be honest, not fused how much power, infact she said just today that she would have another TT supra if the kids seats went in the back ok lol. She drives the car alot more than me as I have a company Van I drive 5 days a week so Iv got to listen to her a little bit. Its me that wanted something better on the juice as I pay for it and she just uses it everyday (on maternity leave at the mo so all over the place with the kids) The car is nice and I wanted to keep it but the ride is a bit harsh for the kids on Tein coilovers and we Travel 180miles to Scotland and back every now and then to visit her family and it aint the quietest thing on the motorway when you just want the kids to go to sleep and stop crying. I dont think sound proofing was top of the list when they built this. Doesnt bother me but I know where she is coming from.

LOL, when I first saw it for sale I just wanted it so I know what you mean. I havent really tried to sell it to be honest only had it for sale on here and gt4 forum but now I am defiantly letting it go its up on pistonheads and a few other places so hopefully it will go. Its a steal for £3450 it has cost me alot more. Everything works fine, bodywork is good, only thing's are a few stone chips on the front and the last owner got a little carried away with the machine polisher and went through the paint on a couple corners on the rear bumper and touched it back up with a little brush lol. Its not noticeable uless looking for it, was going to get it sorted but it never bothered me and thats one reason I have dropped the price so much the other is to just shift it on. I am going to buy another car next weekend if its still for sale so this will just get garaged until sold http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3883862.htm

Thanks guy's, I will miss this car and I love driving it and the looks but I need to settle down a bit, busy job, larger family etc but as you say for just over 4k Im sure there is not much about that's so different, got space, has decent power and 4wd. Thats why I bought it and I almost kept it but I feel its just time to move on I must be getting old before my time lol. As for insurance, Sky will insure it no problem

Had a change of heart and think Im going to keep it just know I wont get another like this very easily and everytime I drive it I dont want to get rid so I think I will treat her too some black wheels with a black vinyl roof, some HID's and some better speakers in the doors with possibly an underseat sub

The Car Toyota Caldina GT-T 2L Turbo 4WD 260bhp 67k miles! Taxed until end of Aug 2012 MOT end's October 2012 I will start with the what this car is for people who may not know. It was made for the Japanese market only so all Caldina’s will be imports, ,most of them are automatic, this one being a manual is one of the things which makes this car a little special. Its body is based on an Avensis estate with some Caldina only parts like the bonnet and bumpers and grill. Is running gear is based on the Celica GT4 so comes with the st215 engine (2.0L Turbo), 4WD and a Torsen Diff on the rear. Alot of running parts are shared with the celica and MR2. What makes this Caldina more unique than most are the following:- 1) She's an 'Active Aero' Edition 2) She's TECS (Toyota Excellent Conversion Series) converted 3) She's a 5-Speed manual So... To explain, the Active Aero Edition is a genuine Toyota model with an OEM enhanced bodykit. Over the standard car, this one has a different bumper, grille, side-skirts and rear bumper extension. This is a very rare kit to find on any Caldina. TECS is also very rare... basically, a 'Toyota Excellent Conversion Series' (TECS for short) car has been modified directly by the Toyota Dealer. This means that the modifications she has have were all dealer fitted, and were therefore covered under the standard manufacturers warranty. She even has a separate plate on the bulkhead to identify that she's been TEC's converted. I suppose its similar to the PPP impreza’s where the car is modified after production and authorized by the dealer. The modifications fitted by the dealer are: - TEIN Type Wagon Coilovers - GANADOR Stainless Steel Exhaust System - APEXI Induction and Hard Pipe The last one doesn't seem much... She's a 5-speed manual. So what? Well, I'd estimate that 95% of Caldina's that go to auction are automatic. To get a manual is rare enough, but to get one with the Active Aero kit, yet alone the TECS conversion, is like finding a pin in a very large hay stack. She has electric windows all round, electric folding wing mirrors, climate control, JVC Double Din CD player, Original Caldina Mats, rubber boot cover for floor and probably other things Iv forgot about. Service History The car has quite a bit of history from the Previous Owner including old MOT’s some service parts oil, filters etc and the auction sheet. She came into the country with 80462 km on her which works out at about 50288 miles. She has then covered a further 17k miles in this country bringing the total mileage to 67k miles. The car has had all of the oils changed recently, engine oil, filters, NGK iridium spark plugs, Diff and gear box oil (used silkolene syn5 gear oil) Also had the timing belt, tensioners, water pump, aux belts front brake disks and pads, new front wishbones with bushes and drop links changed 5k miles ago. Just put 4 brand new Uniroyal Rainsport 2 tyres on her aswel so all the major service work has been done. Specs Engine Specifications: 3S-GTE ST215 2.0L Turbo 5sp Manual Turbocharger & Induction: Apexi Induction Kit HKS SSQV Turbo Timer Exhaust: SS Cat Back Ganador Exhaust Drivetrain: 4WD 5sp Maunual with Torsen Diff Suspension, Wheels, Tires & Brakes: Tein Wagon Adjustable Coilovers Possibly BBS 17" alloys 4 Uniroyal Rainsport 2's Front grooved Disks with EBC Ultimax Pads Interior & ICE: JVC DD head unit Exterior: Toyota optional extra body kit 'Active Aero' edition comprises of: Front bumper Grill Rear bumper extension Side Skirts Other Mods:- Window Tints Wind deflectors 2000+ rear lights Performance: Standard Figures are:- Weight - 1440kg Max power - 260 bhp @ fly (6000rpm) Max torque - 239ft/lb @ fly (4400rpm) Max speed - 130ish mph 0-60 - approx 6.5 seconds I Will be sad to see this car go. I have enjoyed driving it and all the double takes I get as people look and wonder what it is lol. The only reason I am selling is because I have an ever expanding family and ever expanding bills (like most of us ) and I have got myself a diesel family saloon so this does not get used anymore. Hope you like the pics. Oh and the Price £4995 now down to £4250 seen a car I want and have decided to defo let this go £3450!!
