  1. read the text?...... I think not my good man, I have people who are paid good money to do that for me! wHIZz
  2. A very rough 30 second job. http://www.silverbyte.co.uk/soop.jpg
  3. Not sure if anyone is going along with this but ... my advice is to ignore it. It is a "chain" email and the author's sole purpose is to have it propogate as far around the internet as possible for absolutely no reason. Anyone found to be forwarding this in the organisation that I work in would be (and have been) diciplined for breaching the email policy. Sorry Michael wHIZz

    Problems with IE

Is it IE7? - if not, can you upgrade to that version? (depends which OS you're running) as that might sort it. Alternatively you could go for Firefox, think it's around the 20MB mark. Also, has anything changed on the PC recently, did you install an IE toolbar or something perhaps? - try a system retore, maybe take it back a few days\weeks to see if that sorts it out. HTH wHIZz
  5. Not sure about this but in the interests of trying to help.... Have you gone in to the BIOS and made sure the SATA controller is enabled? - since you've only been using IDE in the past this might be worth checking........ unless your HD is SATA in which case ignore that. I would probably start with a BIOS upgrade for the motherboard - and also check the jumper settings on the devices. HTH wHIZz

    Vista

Vista SP1 is due first quarter of 2008. As is SP3 for XP!. Been running Vista Ultimate since last November and I may be about to take the unprecedented step of going back to an earlier verison of Windows (XP) - I really don't like it. MS have designed Vista for the masses i.e. those who are new to computers (no disrespect to those people!) - but in doing so has alienated the experienced users by dumbing down the OS. Just try backing up selected files on your drive as an example! wHIZz
  7. Fair point. I know that this won't benefit everyone but I just thought it might be a start to a fairer system. Would appreciate the support all the same. wHIZz
  8. Thanks for the support - twas me who started it. I understand how people feel negative about these petition things and normally I wouldn't get into something like this - but this one really grinds me down! I actually work for the government (18 years), and although most of these things come to nothing I was hoping to create enough awareness with motorists that at the end of the petition I could send it to the right people (not just the No10 webteam!) - I'm also considering contacting the car mags, local rags etc to drum up support. Thanks again for all support in the Supra group and please forward the URL to your friends and family to sign up etc....... and to other owners clubs if you know anyone! (remember to click the link they send you to confirm the signing!) wHIZz PS: My new commitment! - if anything comes of the publicity I promise to say I started it in the MKIV Supra forums!
  9. erm..... I'm only on a scooter at the moment .... Piaggio X9 - but sitting my test in the new year and the fireblade is my goal! - I think they are awesome!. Saw a black one at the ACE cafe a few months ago (I was down at wembley stadium for Muse) and I was drooling in my beer! wHIZz
  10. Very smart Richie - hmmmm.... I have a black supe too, now where is that bank card! Notice you're also a fellow bike rider..... be a bud and sign my petition! http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/singleroadtax/ wHIZz
  11. Thanks Nic - it's the front indicators I'm after, I've already got the side lenses -think I got them from you So will your clear front facelift indicators fit my 93 Supe? wHIZz
  12. In relation to my thread at: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=123999 looking for something clear front repeater lenses to smarten her up a bit. 93 TT Auto wHIZz
  13. Thanks guys - I should have said, I already have an active spoiler! Maybe I should leave that extended all the time? - and I could also add some mesh into that gaping hole. Anyone know where I can get clear lenses for the front? wHIZz
  14. Had my Supe almost a year now and I still have the grin whenever I drive her! - but, as my other half pointed out, she looks great from every angle except the front! What can I do to the front? - I would like to change the front repeater lenses to clear ones if possible since I've already done the side ones - are these available? Longer term I may look at a new front end but I don't want to go too 'in your face' - I like the OEM look of my Supe, subtle but superior! I also think the plastic headlights don't help. Also, should there be some mesh in the whole under my front plate? - I just seem to have a huge hole! Help http://www.silverbyte.co.uk/images/DSCF1457.jpg wHIZz
  15. Saw a nice black Supra on the bridge heading North - I was in my Mrs's Freelander up behind it and alongside - was going to give a wave but wouldn't have meant as much without me driving my own black Supe! wHIZz
  16. Very nice Rich - get some clear side repeaters for it, one of the first things I was told when I got my supe last November wHIZz
  17. I always snigger when I see folk do this with a real ebay account (as aopposed to a new dummy one) - you watch, someone will come along and stick in a 50k bid, leaving them owing ebay a massive final value fee to pay, and they probably set up automatic payments to ebay on they're CC too! Unless they cancel it before the end that is........ think they're smart enough? wHIZz
  18. Thanks Neil! Not much support from the Supra crew so far? - I thought this would be relevant to quite a few of us in here? Not relevant or do people disagree with the concept? wHIZz
  19. Yep, I take your point - but I'm thinking more about someone like me who has a car and a bike, I won't use them both at the same time. The wife has her own car too, and you're right, she would have to tax her car as she would be using it at the same time as I'm using my car\bike. Jake - don't know, but was hoping to contact a couple of the car mags and at least publicise the idea perhaps. Be my Supra Owners Club buds and sign up anyway so I can get more sigs on it?
  20. Well done Gary - good to hear some people having good news at work for a change. I just found out 'er indoors latest pay rise means she now earns more than me wHIZz
  21. Hi fellow Supera owners! I don't normally buy into this petition malarky but I feel strongly enough about this one that I've started one of my own on the No.10 website. Basically I, like some of you folks, own 2 vehicles. I have a scooter for travelling to work and I like to keep the Supra for weekends or that special night out. Helps keep the milage down and hey, good for the environment! What grates on me is the fact that I need to buy road tax for both the car (which sits in the driveway on weekdays) and the bike too!. I might get rid of the bike and buy a little mini for the winter commuting, I don't want to have to tax that too! Why can't I have one set of tax to cover both vehicles I own and I could switch it to the vehicle being used on the public road at that time?. I know not everyone will agree with this and that is fine. For those who agree - I'd be grateful if you guys would help me get the personal road tax petition going - and of course pass it on to your buddies! http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/singleroadtax/ wHIZz
  22. Good responses, but I am surprised at how many people use their Supra to commute
  23. Ok - cool, keep it coming.
