  1. I heard something recently about that, apparantly the CC companies frown against people doing that (called negative equity or something??).... even more interesting is I think they refer to some FSA regulation or something when telling you that you can't "load your card up" with credit....... or something like that wHIZz

    A sad day....

Thanks for the comments everyone - still undecided. @ Tich - your probably right about the running costs, my insurance is under £500pa and it breezed through it's MOT - it's really just the fuel, and the monthly payments I could do without! Anyway, we'll see how things go over the next few weeks/months Money aside I still think it's the best thing ever and I hope your still enjoying yours as much as I'm enjoying mine!. wHIZz
  6. Not me - I've been off since 7th of December I go back on the 7th of Jan though!! wHIZz

  9. Just did a screen dump (ALT+PrtScn) then cropped it in Photoshop. Actually, i think only those with visible proof should get to stand! so I'm winning then? wHIZz

  11. I just popped along to my local toyota dealer for the boot rubbers - whole set (2up + 2 down) cost me about £20. Got them shortly after I got my Supra - easy to fit too despite some advice suggesting the screws may be tough to remove. Well worth getting - such a solid "thud" now when I close the boot! wHIZz
  12. Didn't know Dazz or his friend but I am genuinely saddened to hear about this. Donation sent. wHIZz
  13. I didn't know the lads either but I've been a member of this forum for just over a year now and like others, these threads really get to me. There is such a sense of belonging in this group and in turn such a sense of loss when we lose a fellow enthusiast. Being slightly older and having had many cars, and many other memberships, I can honestly say I've never seen this to such an extent in any other car groups. As it is winter, and as I am a little older, I want to share my view on how I drive my soop, especially in this weather. If it makes one person think for a nano-second before stamping on the loud pedal over the next few months, then I'll be happy. I absolutely am not pre-judging what happened in this tragic accident it's just that I know the rest of us oldies like to pass out our words of so called wisdom at this time of year to our eager young Supra drivers. I'm truly gutted we've lost young dazz and his friend. Here goes: I love my Supra loads...... but I respect her even more. Basically, every time I hit the loud pedal (and of course I do, occassionally) I ask her (in a split second - and not out loud!) - "what are you going to do if I plank my foot to the floor?". I know that sounds daft, and of course she doesn't answer - but it actually makes me think of what all of her possible responses could be by thinking about my surroundings. 9 times out of 10 I'm fine because she does what I predicted she would do, BUT......... it's that last one....... the one she didn't tell me, and the one that I didn't guess......... it's that one that got me!. The first time she wins......... I lose. If you can't guess all 10 - don't do it! - it's not worth the risk. I honestly enjoy so many people per day just looking at me driving her that after a while the speed becomes secondary. Save it for the track. :(RIP lads - a truly sad loss. You've really made me think about keeping such a powerful car and my thoughts really are with your families and friends /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_sad.gif wHIZz

    A sad day....

Cheers guys. I thought about doing that Darragh, even ran it past 'er indoors but to buy a run around, tax it, MOT and insure it would probably work out the same as using the Supra till summer. Even still, I've never liked using the Supra as a daily work driver, it's waaaaaay too good for that! wHIZz

    A sad day....

I've done it - I've just contacted the dealer I bought my Supra from to see if he is interested in buying it back this is one of his services. It's not absolutely definate but things are tight at the moment and the running costs are hitting me where it hurts. It's a totally stock 93 black TT with only 44000 on the clock (see my garage). I've only done 6k fairly gently miles in the year I've had it. My mate summed it up a few days ago when we were walking back to it, he said "god, you can't sell it man - look at it, it's gorgeous!" I paid £9k last november including fitting Cat1 etc and I have a figure in mind that I would accept if offered but I can't say in case the dealer reads the forum! All I would say is that I would recommend this group to any Supra driver I ever met - and if it does go, I will definately get another one! (when the time is right) wHIZz
  18. I wouldn't worry to much about this - Channel Advisor are a legit company and many ebay sellers use them. I was at the last eBay University (yes, ok I know! ) and they were there signing people up. I've actually spoken to them a few times on the phone. Basically if you are a seller they just make it wasier for you to sell through different channels..... hence the name. Like someone else said, you could just contact the seller and say that you are a little unfamiliar with this and ask them if you can pay directly via paypal. wHIZz
  19. I've got a technet subscription that gives me 10 activations per code - when I got to my 11th install it said "already in use blah blah...." - I just phoned them and she gave me another activation code over the phone, no questions asked. wHIZz

    Mpg - Vote Now!

Yeah, cheers - that was really the point of my post, although it may have come across as "I've had a Supra TT for a year and I've just noticed is uses lots of petrol!". It's not that I don't know the Supra is heavy on petrol, the point of the thread was for me to compare it with other Supra's to see if mine could do with a new o2 sensor. wHIZz
  21. Ours go up tomorrow wHIZz
