    insurance for n/a

I'm 43 with five years no claims and paying around £350ish fully comp.for a n/a ! so i would say a tad high, but as said different postcodes Saying that some insurers give discounted policies for certain mileage etc ! worth asking, mine did !
  2. Went there for the day ! Is that the " no mans land" area or so called "ghost town" , it's been empty since the 70's during the take over ! (Won't go into the politics of that, very sore subject between the two countries i believe) I stayed in protaras the last 2 occasions
  3. Would these fit a pre facelift supra ? wot about the issue of the airbag !
  4. Best to av a look at Aji's thread mate, as most of what you want to know, as been covered there i guess
  5. Agree ! So much easier in Zone 1 or 2 , paid £20 odd quid for an oyster card for 4 day's , tubeing it everyday and got money back when handed in happy day's ! ! Try fulham/chelsea area honest mate, will not be disappointed, off at fulham broadway , and it's a quieter/posher area , but still a busy area and easy to nip into the centre
  6. loving the car:cool:, Wot parts are you from in cyprus ? Been there a few times, absolutely love it there !
  7. Believe me Steveo , he means wot he say's
  8. No it is a genuine early doluck front spoiler which as two parts to it ! the main front bumper plus a added front lip , but does look like an active spoiler by looking at the pics i guess !
  9. Well mate will be worth the wait !! Had nothing but positive comments on these, was thinking of aving my lower front lip done, but as you say going to be a pain with how much material but to post etc, without getting damaged is going to be a mare ! Does look like a front active spoiler on my bumper, but is actually an added on fibreglass lip connected to the main spoiler !
  10. I wouldn't av guessed that mate , surely ur car is 90% carbon inside and out lol
  11. Well after getting them on , took a few snaps with my camera phone, sadly so no great close ups but not bad ! From a far they just look like normal black mirrors, but close up they look great ! Didn't know if they would blend in with the car, meaning too much black , looking boy racery if you know wot i mean, and by the pics may well do from a distance, but everyone that as seen them , said they look the dogs ! and suit the car . so am very happy ( If you click on the pic to enlarge, click again on pic, and you should see some detail in the mirrors !! )
  12. Exactly !! been there stayed in the 'Ramada' or something hotel, had a great price ! yeah but absolutely nothing there , just hotels and the Excel centre , miles from the centre , cost us an arm and a leg in tubes as it was like zone 4 or 5 and like said you've got to get on the DLR ! pain in the Ar*e mate , get something nearer ! I only stayed there cos we went to see prince in the O2 (best weekend ever )
  13. All the best for the BIG DAY !! mate, to you and your soon to be wife . Once married you'll av plenty of time to do these, saves you aving "her in doors" yapping in your ear ! go in the shed for a bit of peace Seems you've hit a market on these sir All the best and thanks once again
  14. Well as mentioned in my first thread, this was the last piece of the jigsaw, after a few months of thinking of wot to do with the supe. ! Firstly : earlier on in the year, i added a half carbon Trd rear spoiler , which i was impressed with ! Secondly : i bought a wrecked early doluck bumper on ebay for next to nothing, but believe me it was wrecked !! alot of fibreglassing etc ec. (not to everyones liking, but i think it goes:p) Thirdly : a set of oem replica side skirts , which were a great fit (thanks to suprasplu ) Finally : THE ICING ON THE CAKE a set of oem mirrors coverd in carbon fibre material and resined /laqured to a great standard (thanks to stevo;) ) As it was getting dark, i took a quicky with the mirror on ! (SO HERE IS A SNEAKY PIC ! WITH MORE OF THE WHOLE CAR TO FOLLOW 2MOR !!) HOPE YOU LIKE p.s (I do need new spats damn)
  15. Well finally got them fitted on the car, gave it a wash and yes they look very nice ! I was thinking i may be going a bit too much on the silver / black theme (as in car pic on opening thread ), and these mirrors could be a bit too much , and look a bit chavy with all that's going on , but i think it looks ok , so does the garage i av my car looked after by, say it sets it off !! I shall leave it to you guy's to decide (can't load pics at mo. shall try asap)
  16. I'm quite shocked you are not tempted on these mate , as i know you like a bit of carbon !! Bet you got the gandors
  17. Been up a few times now for weekends , the best place i found was in chelsea/fulham . before you ar** starts going , yes posh area / posher than most , but you get great deals, i stayed in the travel lodge in putney bridge / fulham great time and very reasonable ! i even stayed in the millenium & copthorne chelsea football hotel, which was on a promotion that was cheaper than the travel lodge , so look around for great deals ! Av a shifty thro http://www.bookings.com they av some great offers on, and the tube station is fulham broadway ,easy access from paddington (2/3 stops) and great to get into central london !! Def. get a 2 or 3 day oyster card for the tubes , saves you a lot of money
  18. Believe me a supra is not for the snow ! Last year i had to abandon my car for 4 days , couldn't get the 600 yrds to my house, which yes is on an incline ! I held the rest of the traffic up for around 50mins as they were crawling behind me and getting stuck aswell, my ears must av been red hot lol. It doesn't help having a na with an open diff. and large rear tyres , just waiting to happen Thats why i'm looking at buying a cheap run around eg. older subaru legacy this year, Awd and an estate car which is handy for space etc, as i'm always stuck for moving things !
  19. shudn't this be in different sect. as it as nothing to do with supra
  20. Hi All ! Been thinking of getting a run around for the winter as we all know the supe is not the answer, especially after last years findings abandoning it for 4 days was not ideal Been looking at cheap vans/estate cars but nothing standing out, until i came to the subaru legacy Awd , (don't want the twin turbo insurance wise )! just want a winter car capable of holding it's own thro the crap weather we get ! anyone got one, anyone had one, and wot's the reviews on these are they reliable etc. and don't want too spend alot of money either , cheap car needed lol
  21. WOW !! Great work, having the courage to do that to your car , and seeing it transform to wot you've done must give you great satisfaction and pride ! Well done mate
  22. Well since having such positive comments on these mirrors, i thought i'd get in touch with the member who did these as a fav. for me ! He did these just to see how he got on with them, and wot the time scale / costs etc. involved would be. Has i can't divulge the price as he said it cost a bit more than anticipated, is that i supplied a spare set of wing mirrors , which i had hanging around, as i was thinking of doing this a while back and all in all , if you are looking for similar products i guess you are talking in the region of late £200's to £300 So i would like to thank Stevo ,(who kept in touch all the way thro even when things were not going to plan/ time wise) for a great job and all the best if this takes off for him , of course this will av to go thro the motions of the powers to be, i expect ! Many thanks Steveo
