  1. have you checked for error codes?
  2. I mean I have to crank it for about 5 secs before it fires where as it starts almost instantly when the battery was new. It must be a battery drain somewhere but I dont know how ti check for it
  3. is there going to be a group buy on these?
  4. A couple of months ago i referb'd the starter motor (new contacts etc.) i just changed out a ~5 month old battery for a Bosch Silver, I've checked that the alternator is charging (battery goes to ~14V when the engine is on), i found a drain of about 13.3mA before I changed the batt. (ammeter between (-) terminal and the disconnected (-) lead) but now when I check for drain i get nothing I also have no error codes stored?? Once running, the car is fine but it doesn't like starting. Anyone any ideas please??? thanks
  5. did you give her that yellow robot thing as well?

    Help please

a lot of people on here recommend a converter by Thor. I think it goes for about £100. I couldnt get hold of one so I went with one called speedM8 (LINK) for about £60
  7. I did check the fluid, both hot and cold and it seems to be on the mark(s). I haven't checked the codes but will do tomorrow no course its not! Although now you point it out it does seem weird that I've noticed all three things acting up and didnt check the one thing they all have in common saying that, I checked the engine bay with the engine running today after having these problems, and although I didn't specifically look at the acc. belt, nothing jumped out at me. What should I look for? I swear the belt is quite tight on the pulleys though Thanks!
  8. I bought a new battery today as the (4 months) old one wouldn't start the car after just 2 days without use Before doing this I checked the battery drain; with the alarm dis-armed and nothing else on it came out as 13mA:Pling: I think I read it should only be about 3mA?? I got this figure by disconnecting the (-) lead from the terminal and then put the ammeter between the lead and terminal...is that right? Something else I think might be a problem soon is the power steering. I swear it felt a lot heavier today than normal at low speeds, also i heard a screeching noise from the engine bay whilst turning the wheel in a reverse maneuver the other day. Lastly the AC. I never use it but today i put it on and when driving it was definitely making loud noises when in gear above 2.5K revs. Please someone tell me its just my paranoia playing me up
  9. i got an ecu circuit for you, but no case
  10. fcuk the haters!! its a birth defect, i just try to remember nobodies perfect
  11. iirc you dont need to take them off completely. just un-do the bolts and slide the tb just far enough out the way to allow access to the plugs
  12. how much it set you back if you dont mind me asking? i'd like to get a re-spray but dont think i can afford one

    waxoyl

i assume it needs to be on a lift to be able to spray it from underneath?
  14. puts me off owning one knowing theres others out there like this! "No plate not included in sale"
  15. i fitted one the other day. its about 5-10mph out but i'm told this is normal. my last one was about 20mph out!
  16. surely someone would prefer these to the stock color dash lights
  17. ok thanks Jake. For the record I tried to get the Thor DSC but couldn't get hold of one, I heard they had problems with them and stopped selling them?
  18. I fitted this speedm8 converter the other week because the 'unknown' (probably ebay) one that was in there before was giving me readings about 20mph optimistic when driving above 40mph. The new one seems a lot better but checking it against a sat. nav. it still seems to be out by about 5-10mph I've checked for error codes and get nothing (i thought maybe it might show a speed sensor prob. or something). I haven't checked it against the sat. nav. at higher speeds but just comparing to other cars and how i feel it seems like it doesnt add any more than 10mph to the actual speed, so at least its a bit better than the last one Any ideas on this?? Also where is the speed sensor located? Maybe i could give it a clean?? I'd be really grateful for any input on this. Thanks!
  19. mine was broke when i bought the car i think people try to pry them out with something like a flat-head screw driver. Thats what it looks like on mine anyway
