  5. ok do you have a rough idea how much it would cost to fit and where would be the best place to get it done (closest to Swindon) thanks
  6. looking to get one of these down the line & would like to know how hard they are to install (my car doesnt currently have lsd, & is an 94 NA manual so Im aware theres a few other part needed as well) cheers
  7. just an update: followed the instructions here http://www.internetwork.org.uk/dry/flick.htm and the problem seemed to go away tbh though im not 100% that it was the re-soldering that helped because when i took the heater controls apart the dry-joint talked about in the link didnt look all that dry. i would recommend giving it a go though
  8. yesterday i got round to bleeding my brakes with the engine running and i found it made only a very slight difference (if any) i'm just going to assume this is how the brakes are supposed to be on the mkiv still dont know why the abs has never kicked in?? if there is a prob with my brakes maybe the problem lies there

  11. i got a similar prob with my brakes; doesnt bite as it should, abs has never kicked in etc. & its been like it since i bought the car. i changed the seals all round on the calipers, fitted braided hoses, new pads, & replaced the master cylinder but hasn't made a difference i'll try bleeding them again with the engine on & let you know if it makes a difference
  12. as the title says. the black plastic pieces that go either side of the rear plate. cheers
  13. lights stopped working again today this is really annoying as I have to pull the fuse for a few minutes before they work again or i cant see the settings i.e. whether the ac is on, direction of the air etc does anyone know what could be causing this??? cheers
  14. im also after one of these so if hoff decides he dont want it please keep me in mind cheers
  15. just the lip if possible thanks.
  16. just a quick one: the daytime lights on my heater controls stopped working the other day, but they would light up when I turned on the headlights?? I pulled the "heater" fuse & it wasnt blown so I put it back in and now they work fine again?? I havent done any electrical work on the car recently & the electrical system has not been tampered with much anyway (new headunit is about it). just wondered if anyone know why it happened in the first place and how pulling & replacing the fuse helped. Cheers.
  17. I'm not sure about the midway block connector thing, but why dont you just re-splay the end of the pipe with one of those kits... not the nicest job to do but saves you having to replace the whole line I did it on my civic no probs, just make sure you put the nut on the pipe before splaying it!
  18. i got there a bit late about 9.30. what time did everyone leave? also is the next one on the 17th of May? cheers.
  19. are you definitely sure its even the brakes?? does the car pull to the left at all? - that may indicate a seized caliper. have you lost any braking performance?
  20. theres also this sticker on the bottom of the box in the 2nd pic. anyone have a list of part numbers? Its not important i just wouldnt mind knowing what it is. cheers
