  1. It was Ferry Corsten not William Orbit. From Wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Orbit Orbit also produced a version of Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" (the original version of which was memorably used as the main theme of the soundtrack to Platoon). Adagio was lifted from the successful album Pieces in a Modern Style which was a compilation of classical re-workings. Orbit's version of the track was itself remixed in 1999 by Ferry Corsten and became a big club music hit as well as reaching #4 in the UK Singles Chart.[2]
  2. Thats a great pic, real moody. HID looks good too.
  3. I had mine done at Optimax in Southampton approx 10 years ago and its the best thing I have even done. I only paid 500 for both eyes too lol edit - what still amazes me, is that I completely forget that I ever wore glasses.
  4. They're not really gonna call it an "FT-86" though, surely.
  5. More pics: http://www.7tune.com/ft-86-up-close-and-personal/ hopefully not a repost....
  6. 2jz is the first part of the engine code. jza80 is the mark 4 supra model code. if it makes any difference I havent watched the video.
  7. I am sure I saw a memory stick with a non standard connector. It had a usb connector sized plastic "blade" and two strips of metal on it for the connections. It was a promotional item. edit - fairly sure it was the 2 middle connections which were made, so maybe it had an onboard battery?
  8. I would cut the end off a usb cable and solder that on in place of the broken connector. I also think there are only 2 connections necesary.
  9. Sweet! I don't remember seeing many black ones. Looks good!
  10. That was a long time ago now, I remember seeing it in that guise at the Coppid Beach jap car meet hmm about 6/7 years ago I guess
  11. The original is still surprisingly watchable imo
  12. Interesting - glad I'm not going mad.
  13. I might be mistaken, but didnt that number plate "A14 GDW" used to be on the old "golden paperweight" / "dragon motorsport" supra? I remember it because it because it was in a magazine feature just as I was getting into Supras a few years ago.
  14. What's the native resolution of the display? I had a recent resolutions problem where I couldnt select the native resolution of my dell monitor when I had the signal going through a vga monitor selector (to switch output between monitor and projector). Apparently they send their resolutions capabilities down the vga cable to the computer (often incorrectly or missing) and I guess that was not being passed through the switch box. After trying a few things (have you heard of PowerStrip - might be worth looking at) the solution for me was simply upgrading my graphics card driver, it then gave me many more default resolutions to choose from including the one I required.
  15. I have to say that even though I felt that the explanation was rubbish, I have greatly enjoyed the discussions on the web about how he did it, the videos etc. And the fact that he lied keeps it interesting. On the other hand, isn't camera trickery the lowest of the low for a magician! Paul Daniels would never go there! His "waking hypnosis" / neurolinguistic programming stuff is much cleverer and he has often shown how he actually did the trick - but I am wondering if some of that is just a charade now.
  16. He made out that a group of 24 (?) volunteers used "automatic" writing and studied a load of previous lottery results and tried to work out what the next result would be and then averaged the groups prediction. Basically a load of rubbish lol
  17. I used to be a big fan, but I don't think I have enjoyed anything he has done in the last 2 or 3 years. Remember at the races "THIS is the winning ticket" - that was a good one lol Oh and remember the advertising execs that designed a poster that was full of stuff they had seen on the way. I thought that sort of stuff was much cleverer and more interesting. The NLP stuff, if that is indeed genuine...
