Your power steering pump is worn then. Oil level shouldn't go down in PS pump. Yes it is prolly PS pump, I have the same symptoms in mine.

Power steering pump is wearing off? Chris Wilson is rebuilding them for 150 quid, Nic is selling brand new ones for around 225 quid delivered.

Yes, you have to take off needles (using 2 spoons for example). Putting them back is easy enough tho, so nothing to be worried about
