    NVQs

I just finished doing NVQ lvl 2 in bus industry Such a pro driver haha. On a serious note - do it, it's always something to put on CV. Some companies actually are OBLIGATED to have percentage of employees with done at least 1 lvl of NVQ, otherwise they can loose licence to do their services. In bus industry it is 60% if I remember correctly.
  2. When you press A/C, auto button goes on automatically. Had the same problem with my facelift, to swithc Auto properly (so it's not coming back again) I was just setting air to go on windscreen and legs - seems to work and do not change recirc again.
  3. I just happen to have one The thing was that Mandriva was: removing old partiton, format it, set up ext2,3 and swap automatically (incl. mount points) so saved me some head scratching
  4. You do not need to delete partition. Just show to partition program, which "disc" you want to format and sacrifice for linux. Partitioner at Mandriva CD see all partitions as a seperate discs, choose proper one and let program do rest of the work. Yes, you will see all stuff on other partitons no problem. If you still struggle, just get Ubuntu manual option, create 1 partition ext2 (here Ubuntu will put all system) and set mount point at " / ". Then set another one ext3, mount point is " /home". Rest of the disc leave as a swap.
  5. Use Mandriva 2008 Spring disc to create partitions, I found Ubuntu slightly stubborn, Mandriba is using different partitioner, which is doing ext2, ext3 and swap partitions alone. It also recognize all Windows partitons and allow you to choose one of them to put linux onto. Did you try to use Kaffeine to watch DVD's? DVD works perfectly on mine (just watching some random Reebok workout disc ) Generally I prefer Ubuntu as this one found my 3COM wireless card and made it work without any hassle. My laptop is quite old Sony Vaio with 2.8Ghz Celeron, 512 RAM and some sad ATI graphic card.
  6. I wonder how many Japanese kids creeped on the streets in their Supras/Skylines/MR2's etc after watching this
  7. I tought Autosol is for metal polishing. I would recomend G3 from Farecla - it's strong enough to get rid of "dullness" and small scratches/spiderwebs. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Farecla-G3-Rubbing-Compound-400-grams_W0QQitemZ330232617575QQihZ014QQcategoryZ30923QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Use mists of water during rubbing headlights, do not let it to be completely dry, otherwise you will get more scratches Edit: ...or if you want to be on a safe side, use PlastX Hiten is recommending - it's more delicate
  8. Hahaha sorry mate, I was writing my post when you put yours Well, I wouldn;t keep too much hope for him to fancy messing hwith headlights so you will get your bussiness
  9. It's really easy to get headlights apart, clean them and respray insides with black paint. End effect is like this (I did clean lenses conversion at the same time tho) :
  10. I haven't seen this topic before and I have to admit, that H. is a legend. I never had so much laugh reading stuff written by one man! (well maybe except Terry Pratchett )
  11. Can I have clear side indicators please.
  12. Economy growths and drops are sinusoidal. Seems that Tories lost power, when economy was on the way up and Labour just profited on boom (+ additional money from 120+ new taxes imposed) and now running out from sinking ship
  13. I think, that garage monkey is thinking exactly the same about people, who leave Supras for all day with them to change 2 tires
  14. I did order for 55 pounds and put voucher but summary still keep delivery 9.99... Edit: Ah, it is updating at checkout, sorry
  15. You just drive NA same like TT - carefull when wet, fast when dry. 0-60 in around 6 sec, max speed around 150 mph, MPG depends how and where you drive - between 20 - 35 MPG. Servicing is dead easy, access to everything except spark plugs is wide open. Reliable, not many things can go wrong, if you change fluids and filters regular.
