1. I can listen to offers, I will also drop in second decat pipe, so new owner can play with BPU
2. Anyone going there? I'll be there at Sunday wearing T51b power armor (Fallout series).
3. If road is closed there should be notice that this bus stop is disused, but this is normally Centro job. Call them and ask them to confirm if this bus stop is in use atm, if they say it is not, then you can argue with council
4. Little update - both rear shocks have been changed to Bilstein with Eibach springs so knock is gone.
5. During my 7 years adventure with Supra I have to admit that out of all of them (NA manual, NA Auto, 2JZ TT 6 speed, 2JZ TT Auto and 1JZ TT Auto - yes I owned all of them types ) I enjoy driving current one most for how responsive, rev happy and easy to control she is. I only put it for sale because I always wanted some V8 rumble in my life and that's what I'll get when my project will be finally finished, otherwise 1JZ would be a keeper. Can't afford to run both of them Even with all bad bits I mentioned in original topic - it is solid car, even places where paint bubbling is present are still solid underneath, it has been like that for over 3 years without a change.
6. Power output is 280 bhp, 363 Nm of torque, engine was built by Yamaha, very rev happy and responsive
7. HAve a look here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?333838-1JZ-GTE-Facelift-Toyota-Supra
8. Hello and welcome to my sale thread I've got 1996 Auto Facelift Supra with 1JZ-GTE conversion for sale. Only reason I'm selling it is because I have my other V8 Supra project waiting to be finished and I could do with some funds to finish it fast and start using it. I've done conversion myself, using 1JZ-GTE engine I purchased from Littlenum many moons ago. Timing belt, water pump and tensioner have been changed, done full geo setup, new front tires, new pads all around and service have been done 6 months ago. All wiring have been checked and corrected by Nodalmighty, It's on harness, so no wires have been cut, it's plug and play system. Car comes with private plate P9 SUP included in sale. Bad bits: Paintwork will need correction in few places (look at photos), front bumper would need to be repainted too (some scratches and little paint cracks). Aircon is empty, might be a leak somewhere on one of o-rings, never got around to do it as I do not use it anyway. Front speakers might need some attention (plastic covers vibrates when car is idling) and OS speaker is temperamental. Car have been MOT'ed at January and passed with no advisores, speedo have been counting in km's, but I installed new speed/odo converter and put another speedo showing converted mileage. Car sounds nice, pulls strong with no warning lights, starts up every time and looks quite good despite paintwork imperfections. Because of all bad points, I'm looking for 4600 pounds for it, I guess it is on a cheap side, but future owner will have quite large money margin to correct all and enjoy driving nice looking Supra I would also ask to respect my time as I will respect yours, so no insulting offers, test pilots, dreamers. My contact number is 07944006665, please text me and I will call back, as I'm usually behind a wheel all day (work). Car is located in Wolverhampton. 9. Be carefull with heating it too much as seal might melt
10. It's all good mate, but you should know these things without religion forbidding this or that. It all boils down to simple "Do not be an arsehole" life motto. If everyone would treat Common Sense in a same way they treat religion, we would be happy society with common goals
11. Normally immobilizer would not allow car to crank at all
12. I would check Idle Control valve for any dirt inside
13. Last hop before it will go to other forums/ebay
14. Still here, it's a great engine and sound of it is just immense, worth investment, especially if you plan super/turbo charging it in a future. They take up to 500 bhp without sweat and standalone/piggy back ECU's are widely available
15. Listen to good advice and take them to Ibrar. I found out that majority of tyre shops do NOT have proper balancing machines for larger wheels and every time you try and balance them - new score pops out.
16. Your Surf? Seems like i have a lot to update haha. Btw I also happen to have front oil sump somewhere i think - this is necessary to fit it to Surf aand LS400 manifolds
17. I've got early 1UZ-FE engine here from 1991 Soarer (forged pistons one) plus gearbox and hydro fan radiator. ECU and adapted airbox from Supra are included in sale, bracket and PAS tank is included too. You will need 2JZ engine mounts to fit it into Supra engine bay, you will also need gearbox to radiator pipes made, some modifications to rubber piping around PAS, wiring to ECU (nodalmighty from this forum can do it for you) and propshaft/exhaust/fuelling lines will need to be custom made. Engine got 140k miles on a clock and runs sweet, gearbox is very smooth (see videos). Conversion itself is not hard to do for a person with average mechanical knowledge, I managed to pull engine out and put it in to Supra in a one day (when I was doing my conversion). I drove this Soarer from South Wales to Wolves and it was very comfy and quiet ride with lovely V8 purr instead of radio music As it stays I'll ask 630 pounds for this set plus delivery costs. I would prefer collection as it is heavy, but fluids are drained and I can fix it to some palette for a transport Might be able to deliver locally. Here's few pictures and youtube videos - please note that I swapped plastic engine covers to plain ones as I took TRD badge ones to my own engine Engine start up from cold: Quick ride around a block:
18. Doubt it will run properly with standard ECU if injectors are bigger and it's single turbo. You will need some piggy back or even better stand alone ECU mate, otherwise you will kill this engine very fast.
19. Timing belt one. Also make sure that cam pulleys are torqued properly as they can cause these exact type of knocking.
20. I bought one of these ages ago and it still serves me well : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Red-2-Ton-Tonne-Hydraulic-Folding-Engine-Crane-Stand-Hoist-lift-Jack-Wheel-/120643752243?hash=item1c16ed9133:g:dZcAAOSwd4tUGA-8
