No modifications needed except of transferring small speedo needle holder from original dials. Dials will have blue gel on back and pictures you have seen in a link above are done with bare white bulbs behind dash. You could always convert it to blue led light (looks even more fancy )

Following Ian's post about ecu pins it seems, that both of them are basically identical except that auto ecu is using additional pins to control gearbox. Do anyone have any idea if there are really any other differences (map, ignition etc.)?
