To be honest, potato factory or indian restaurant wasn't that bad to work in. Farm - I think my back would give up on this one. Building job was superb, I can't believe that in a town with such high unemployment level landlord couldn't find person who is willing to work for 150 pounds a DAY! Going back to farm - if someone made a record by gathering 500 kg, how it shows ADHD bloke who got 36 kg a day? Main thing tho is - these people KNEW what is this programme all about, they just had to prove for 2 days, that Brits are capable of working like any immigrants and... they still failed miserably. If I would be british and one of them would be my relative, I would personally flog him to near death for an embarassment he done to me and my country.

Yes, they will do one more in summer time and then prolly 2 at autumn. About radiation levels - do not believe in legends, radiation is similiar to one you got in centre of London, area around 4th reactor is perfectly safe, radiation is only slightly higher than natural. On first page you can see photo of Reactor no 4 made by me last year You must remember that after explosion till today there are still 2000 people working there Some of them are scientists, a lot of technicians - area where all 5 reactors are located is biggest electricity trafo at the same time, it's place where all Ukraine/Russia/Bielorus electricity is splitted and sent away. Of course, they still follow safety regulations like not sitting on grass/moss, wash your hands very often etc. but there is NO danger of getting radiation sickness at all This trip is mostly exciting because of "Ghost Town" - Pripyat, once you go there, it will leave dep mark on your mind, this silence, all rotten buildings, 50k people town completely abadoned, Jupiter factory is incredible too. I still can't wait to come back there, as there is sooo many thing to see yet!

Every trip is for 40 people only. Information about new ones are given around 4-5 weeks before it will happen. StrefaZero is expecting deposit of around 130 pounds 3 weeks before trip to put someone on "sure" list. If I will get few 100% people, I could have a chat with admins to keep group reservation for us. Of course it could be hard to keep reservation for 40 people, but I think that 8-10 people is possible

It might be additional hassle for a bus to go to Kiev airport or anywhere to Kiev centre to pick up additional people. All trip take 7 days, 2 of them is driving there and back I say it will be easier to fly to Warsaw (there is many cheap flights there) and continue by bus to Slavutych.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00r3qyw/The_Day_the_Immigrants_Left/ Who did see it? What is your opinion about it? It's a shame they had to work only 2 days, but seems that for half of those guys it was still too long lol

https://help.ubuntu.com/6.06/ubuntu/serverguide/C/configuring-samba.html This one is Ubuntu specific, it's quite easy to understand. And here's how to install it: https://help.ubuntu.com/6.06/ubuntu/serverguide/C/installing-samba.html

For most of the time we will be in Slavutych, town which was built after catastrophe to accomodate Pripyat folk. We will sleep in private flats rented to us by locals It's incredible, but those people just moving out for 3 days leaving everything in a house for our use lol (seems they have a lot of practice after Pripyat ). One night in Kiev we will be allocated in hotel "Bratislava", average standard, but it's enough to have a sleep and 200 yards from metro station (15 minutes to town centre by metro). 270 pounds including everything - food, rooms, passes, bribes, transport from Poland and local transport, even one evening in traditional Ukrainian pub with home made food and home made vodka (bloody strong stuff around 80% proof). When I was at July, we had AK47 and Dragunov shooting organised - cost: 25 dollars. Everything in Slavutych is cheap as chips, beer was around 30p per pint lol

I'm with Alliance&Leicester on tracker mortage 2.49%. I did put 50% deposit on my house tho so it might be why I got interesting offer like this No punishment on overpayments (so basically I can overpay as much as i want), no fee at the start, free structural survey

If I will have list of people who are SURE they will go, I might have a chat with StrefaZero guys and make it happen for a few of us at autumn time (probably September or October). I'm positive me and my missus are going. @Edge Most tour operators will be waste of time, you will be far better off going with scientists or private group of people who know where to knock to get passes.

What you are planning to spend on both NA's? Project Supra any of interest for you? Vehicke graveyard is closed for public from 2008, but there is quite nice one behind Police Station. StrefaZero is not strictly tour oprerator, it's group of scientists from Polish Atomic Society, main guy is working in experimental polish reactor "Maria". Those trips are organised as a scientific visits, so we have more time and more freeplay around Pripyat. Of course, entering buildings is not allowed offcially, but if you do not stumble on rare police patrols you will be prefectly fine. If you hear vehicle approaching, just hide and wait for them to pass

In short: 22:00 going out from Warsaw Day 1 17:00 - 19:00 coming to Slavutych (town next to Zone) Day 2 full day around the Zone, visiting area around Reactor 4 and others, Tchernobyl town, Kopachi village, 3 hours in Prypiat. Day 3 - full day of free roaming in Prypiat Day 4 - we are moving to Kiev, it might be that guys will organise something like I had last time - shooting from various weapons (cost 25 dollars) Day 5 - free roaming in Kiev till 16:00 16:00 going back to Poland Food from coming to Slavutych till breakfast at day 5 in Kiev is paid for. Everything is dirty cheap to buy anyway if you fancy trying local cuisine

Seems that autumn will suit my missus best too and few other people, so maybe we will just wait till then. I will translate all Regulations and plan to english in a meantime, so you can see what will be going on
-
I tought I could bring it up as moderators of StrefaZero.org confirmed that they can sort out access to Zone for foreigners (read UK citizens). If there will be enough of interest in this, I might translate schedule of a trip and go there with UK group (I'm planning to visit Prypiat eithere at May or at autumn (less green stuff around to cover town ). Give me a shout if you are interested so maybe we will put something together. Cost is around 270 pounds for transport, food, rooms, access to Zone. 1 full day day on your own in Prypiat included Trip starting from Warsaw Central so good connection for those who are going by plane from UK.

Got through paperwork, she had 2 previous owners since 2004 and there is few Toyota VCR's, import paperwork and few bills for works done on the car. Looks like she had happy previous life It's truly a bargain, she just needs front wings and headlights and off you go!

Here's pics, sorry for quality but it was tight and dark there There is of course bumper and rear spoiler, those are not at pics but will be included with tons of other stuff i have in garage

Ireland as far as i know is part of EU, same as UK, so there can't be any import tax on any product changing places and owners inside EU.
-
I will try and push slightly case of sorting out visas for people from UK by strefazero.org, they might be interested in taking few people out there. Problem with tourkiev and other tour operators from Ukraine is that you do not really have enough time to see anything, they just treat everyone like cattle and run them from one place to another (forget about getting into buildings, not enough time!). When you go with group of enthusiast and proper contacts in Ukraine you can go there for 4 days (including one full day in Prypiat!).
-
Who are you going with? I mean what operator will organise it for you and your friend?
-
I'm planning to go this year too, it's quite addictive, once you come back you can't stop thinking about this town and atmosphere there.
-
It's a loong journey if you want to sort out all side quests and add ons I still have Mothership Zeta to do, but recently going through STALKER: Call of Prypiat to compare how Prypiat looks in game to what I've seen last year on real

It's still here, will put photos tommorow.
