  1. I was wondering about same but now, after changing dials in my gf car i finally solved this misery Those are cables, which goes to autobox
  2. Looking for welding company to cut off my silencer part and weld 3'' straight pipe onto place. There is something loose in my silencer, rattling awfully when on low rpms. My exhaust system is combined Jasma/5ZIGEN , but I would like to change part of exhaust between second cat and exhaust backbox. It is standalone pipe, but only company I know in area, which is MIJ in Walsall quoted me for 160-180 pounds for bloody 1m pipe . I do not mind silencer being cut off and small piece of pipe welded, as rest of the pipe itself is in good condition, it is just rattling, which getting on my nerves. I'm from Wolverhampton Edit: To make it easier I will include picture. I'm looking for either changing all pipe (red marks) or just a short piece where silencer is (green marks)
  3. You would prefer them to give him slap on wrist and verbal warning and after that his missus whould get another beating for calling cops (even if it was not her)? I hate scumbag, who hit woman, no matter what!
  4. No. this is proper way of punishing bloody thiefes. I have no clue, who gave you idea, that giving them free night in comfortable cell and food/drinks is proper way to deal with this kind of worms? Although I think that guys in burberry (sp?) caps would look more funny.
  5. ... good way to deal with scum on english streets? http://www.filecabi.net/video/file-300400776.html
  6. First - warm Supra up, then it should be at around 600-700 rpm for Auto, which means it supposed to be between 1st and 2nd short line under 1k rpms.
  7. 120 kg bloke prolly have more muscles then me, but I can outran him easy weighting only 73 kg Your 200's bhp is not standart for your car right? If you will put Supra from 320 bhp on standard twins to eg. 500 on proper small single turbo, you will get your 12's Also remember, that it is not standing start, which is main Supra advantage, she is trashing almost everything on her way when going 60mph+ Welcome in nut's den
  8. If you cannot have what you like, you have to like what you have. Spray plastic ones, so you will get rid of nightmares and search for real stuff
  9. Just take chrome like spray and spray your plastic one - sorted...
  10. It is great plan mate! But errr... you are talking about?
  11. G3 compound with a lot of elbow grease.
  12. You prolly noticed till now 2 pistons sticking out in back part of caliper. They are pushing out, when your pads are gradiually used up. Now you will need to push them back to put caliper back over your brand new pads. I used hammer handle (like it is adviced in manual ) You can use some kind of special pressure tool made for pushing pistons back too. Most important thing is to put pressure equally everywhere. Mine pistons was giving up pretty easy After that put caliper back, screw it together, ask someone to push brake pedal 1-2 times so pistons will set against new pads. You will know this when your brake pedal will become stiff. Close reservoir tank! Put wheel together and say "thank you" to assistant, which in my case was my sister Here's picture of my old pad It will take you around 2 hours to change all of them. Only difference between front (which you see here) and rear is that rear have only one piston to push in Enjoy and have fun and of course tons of satisfaction from job well done Konrad PS. If mod thinks it can be used as a technical how-to for newbies, please feel free to use as needed.
  13. Some time ago I ordered full set of J-spec brake pads for Jola's Aerotop to find out 3 weeks ago, when on holidays, that her brakes are UK Spec. So I thought, that it is good oportunity to change pads in mine, as I was sure, that mine are J-spec Having new fancy camera I decided to document this for future generation of "first time" mechanics So there we go! You have to take off wheel first obviously, after that you suppose to see caliper in different colour variations. There is 2 size 14 screws there, unscrew bottom one. Lift up caliper and ask helper to keep it this way. If you do not have assist, just unscrew upper one too and take off caliper. Put it in a way, which will not harm your brake lines. When you lift it up, you should see your old pads (green on this picture). Take off both pins. Pads ready to be removed. They are just to be pushed towards or out of you. Take off metal anty squeal metal thingy. Put it onto your new pads. Antysqueal parts on place, ready to be put back onto caliper You recognize rear, hidden part of pads by metal catch on bottom Push pads back into caliper. Put metal pins from picture no. 5 back onto place. You will notice small holes made for it. Now open your brake fluid reservoir (spelling) and leave it like this.
  14. You are not exactly helpful, it is second time I see you telling people to do search - his car is not really common, that's why it is hard to value it. Check your thread about fuse box, noone actually told you to do search on forum right?
  15. Service is actually exactly the same like any other performance car. Change of oil, spark plugs, oil filter, air filter, coolant. Supra do not have any super cool, extra charged Rolls oils or fluids, all in reasonable prices eg: 10l of good oil 70 pounds 6 iridium spark plugs - 60 pounds Red coolant from Toyota - 34 pounds for 10l Oil filter - 6 pounds Servicing intervals and parts change: http://homepage.mac.com/importpimp/ Download file Supra.zip, unpack it and there is pdf file with Maintenance and servicing intervals. Enjoy Konrad
  16. No, they just said, they cannot mirror my 5 years NCB from my daily driver (which was Cavalier GLS at that time) and I have to sign out Cavalier insurance to transfer 5 NCB to Supra. Of course my current insurer (Norwich Union) did it without any problems.

    new owner

Red button misery is still unsolved
  18. Just a quick question. If I want to convert speedo from km/h to mph but I would like to leave odo in km, I will need DSC only? IF I understand this correctly, DSC is actually altering speed signal and kinda "delimiting" car at least till 180 mph. Is this right?
  19. They did not want to mirror my NCB.

    Wifi Help

It is livebox doing it my friend. something is absolutely screwed up with built in wireless router. My friend had to connect one to get ornage support, but in his situation it is combination of crap connection quality outside and wireless LAN connection. Once he is switching back to good, old 3com router, everything is getting back to normal (except ADSL speed, which went crap after he signed up for orange contract...)
