  1. Yeah, doesn't matter how i'm driving (fast/slow) as soon as I tap the brakes I get 1 knock where something has moved and then nothing until i use the brakes again. Although I'm pretty sure my knock is on the drivers side only. I had the brakes off recently, and the knock wasnt there before. When i took the calipers off, I left the brake shoes on and didnt take it apart, so I cant see whats changed. I will have a look at my brake set up when I change my brakes.
  2. Watching this thread with interest, because I have the same problem. On first inspection i found that one of the caliper bolts wasn't done up correctly due to a damaged thread. This allowed the caliper to move. But after sorting that out it still knocks. I have CW pads and new discs sat in my room as there due a change. When changing my brakes i plan on checking all my suspension bolts are torqued up, including my subframe. But if that dosn't solve it i will be stumped.
  3. I say leave it as it is. But its your car, what do you like?
  4. Unless you have race/drag/track car, i think you're making this too complicated. The simple way is, 17's for handling, 19's for looks, 18's is a compromise of both. You've clearly done your research, to find a set of wheels that are not too heavy that you like the looks of. As long as you get the geometry checked after fitting the wheels, I cant see there being a problem.
  5. You could try chris wilson, or possibly whifbitz. I dont know if they make them theirselves or buy them in, but I'm sure one of them will help you out if they can.
  6. Thats what i was thinking when i first looked at it. Like that white evo that they had on Top gear. Looked mint and had nothing wrong with it. But it wasnt allowed back on the road and had to be destroyed. It seams dodgy, especially with no paper work.

    Why Oh Why Oh!

Good talent though. If I tried that, I'll just end up tying it in knots.
  8. Just paid up, missed last years but enjoyed the one before that.
  9. I would change the spoiler, but apart from that I think its good.
  10. As Dnk has said, plug the box back in. I still think it could be an old alarm module that hasn't been properly removed, so the car is immobilized and won't start.
  11. I kept a couple of meters back from the railings, but surely that's just common sense not to get near a 1 tonne flat out car.
  12. The nice weather has nearly gone. You don't want to be without the car for weeks. Get the box done now and the respray done next year.
  13. That would never happen. For a start its a figure of 8 track. As a Sprint venue though, who can knock the Veyron supersport off pole.
  14. 4 years to find a the right supra. It must be a stunner. I bet you can't wait to pick it up.
  15. Very nice. I must say i am jealous. Would love to own a rx7 at some point.
  16. I was the same as you. Loved my vauxhalls, owned 6 in 4 years. Then got the supra in 2008 and have no regrets. You will most likely have to travel to find the right car, so it might be easier to find someone local to the car to check it out first. It might help to post your budget first and we can give you some advice. Also before someone else posts it, why not an auto?
  17. I bet that's something to do with the alarm. Did the wiring that goes to it look standard?
  18. Or passenger rides would do. I've seen most of ashes posts, from when he started to drift. To the accident when the trailer flipped. To working hard to get a supra in to the british drift championship. I would be happy to chuck some money for his car. Or even lend a hand when he's at llandow, as its not far from me.
  19. I'm sorry, but you guys vs the wasps just cracked me up. Every time I seen you guys you had the wasps in tow.
  20. Still got to fit my front bumper. But yeah I'll be there by 6. 20 if I'm ready.
  21. Where are you meeting to, i'm 90% sure i'm going now.
  22. You all have it easy. To do list; - refit all interior (only dashboard and drivers seat in the car). - possible leak, puddles in both rear footwells. If its the matrix then I'm out. - bits of exterior trim to fit. - rear gearbox seal being done now. - fit front spoiler. - clean clean clean. Wasted yesterday finding the electrical circuit that's earthing the battery and draining it.
  23. Have you still got the confirmation emails that they send you?
  24. If i get my car back I'm driving up on saturday morning.
  25. Could be a bargain. I believe members have picked up good examples for these prices now. At the end of the day, there old big petrol thirsty cars now. Despite how good they are. Just have a good look around the car.
