1. Ah, makes sense with the ECU. I'll try to source one...
2. Has anyone dabbled with this? I have a delimiter on at the ECU, resulting in top speed delimited. But that still leaves the 110 kph j-spec limit on the cruise control. I have located the Cruise ECU, but that is placed, so it is close to impossible to get to soldering in a SLD. I have found some joints looking at the wireing diagrams, but soldinging in at IF2 (for example) left me with a delimited cruise but then a non working auto front spoiler. Wireing in a the ODO results in the delimited signal being in effect for the whole speed signal line, and the spoiler going up/down at very high speeds as well as it possibly messes with the power steering Any solution?
3. Anthracite could be the way to go in stead of completely black?
4. I'm running 285 on 10.5j. +40 offset as far as I know on my TTE rims. No worries at all. CW fast road car suspension, so down an inch-inch and a half rear.
5. He do revalve them and has two setups, as far as I know. A fast road car and a track setup. Usually it would be the road car setup people run.
6. Volks are nice. Low weight on almost all of them and ridiculously low weight on a few. Some even look nice
7. Like that one.. I´m both nice and lovable Love U Hmm.. Some in-shop lovin' going on here? Sweet! Are you planning for some trackdays in the season? We have some more or less weak trackdays here in DK, so I'm planning for Knutstorp and Ljungbyhed looks good as well. I have a hard time finding "inside" knowledge of the good and not to crowded trackdays on southern Sweden, so if you know or hear anything, PM or post up please I know the GTR club had something good last year, but couldn't find any online info. You might have been hanging with that crowd? Totally agree.. Carbon should only go where it has functional meaning and not for bling value.
8. Sweet! Will be interesting to see when done. Will you get a chance to grab some pics og one being in body colour? I have a hard time judging how "stock" it would look.
9. Check the link above for fluid and check your VIN plate for diff info. From http://mkiv.supras.org.nz AXLE Example Description Crown Wheel Size A A (8'' - 200mm), B (8.7'' - 220mm) Differential Ratio 01 01 (4.083:1), 02 (3.769:1), 03 (3.267:1), 04 (3.538:1), 05 (4.083:1) Differential Type A A (Standard open differential), B (Torsen LSD), D (Torsen LSD)
10. Would you trade for a Carbing front tower strut with brake stopper?
11. Been running one on my TT for a few years now. Very very nice
12. Oh..My.. god.. Please don't endanger yourself or anyone else going this way. Brakes on a car is more than just clamping a disc with whatever can be jury rigged to fit.
13. 430 is possible, but 400 is common and easily achievable. Thats what I though would be of interest to the OP. I see 450 often US supras on twins (they are even talking about 500+ whp, but hey, they do have a very different view on hp's) and 450 has been proven on stock EU turbos here in DK with a boost controller, decat and proper cooling. I'm not sure if cams are needed for that though.
14. Yep. Smaller brakes. Bigger was an option and you should be able to find one with them. That shouldn't stop you though as then can easily be upgraded for maybe 500£ or so. Power more or less the same. UK spec can be pushed further on stock parts. 400 hp around max for j-spec and 450 for UK with more or less basic upgrades. If you go single turbo you are more or less equal on the two. Especially if you compare 6 spd to 6 spd. On the upside is that you will find it much easier to find 100% stock examples as well as the right combo of 6 spd, hardtop and low mileage. Go, Go, GO!!
15. If you want a 100% stock, I would look towards j-spec import
16. HKS twins? ok. But still sequential? Please post what you experience with the new setup you are looking at. Did you ever get the current really "done" before deciding for something else? Really good to know that it is completly stock looking, as that is what I would need to stay legal over here. If the oil lines are the only differentiation thing from stock look, I'm guessing that can easily be routed and done so it looks OEM.
17. I'm also very interested in this, and have followed the US threads by the sequention guru Stu Hagen. I'm guessing this is more or less the same setup that they are working on over there? I'm interested in this, as here in DK going single is illegal due to taxing reasons. Therefore I'm interested if a setup with the same reliabilty of the OEM toyota setup but pushing 500-550 hp can be reached. It should be possible. Please update the thread with whatever info you can. I think we are many that will be able to benefit from this, as a perfect working 500hp sequential supra must be close to perfection for street and track, if you want to keep OEM look/feel. I'm worried of the torque dip as well. Here is my chart from my very well running BPU: http://idisk.me.com/stefanbovien/public/DynoDecat.jpg
18. Thanks :-) Well, I'm fairly sure that it is a TT version, if there is a difference as it fits my TT perfectly. I have a few PMs I'm answering now, but as of now, still not sold.
19. I would defo reccomend you to get rears as well. You screw up your brake balance, with potential dangerous results to follow. Especially braking into corners in the wet.. Forget j-spec fronts to rear. Even if it is possible, it will probably not lead to any gain in brake performance. The installation it self is straigh forward. You should be able to find lots of descriptions of it. Only thing is you need to trim down your dust shields to fit the slightly bigger discs. Thats more or less it.
20. Used, but these parts really don't wear, so.. No scratches or anything. Includes breake stopper, helps firm up the brake pedal. £ 175£ + P&P from Denmark (guessing 50£)
21. How about these. OMP Grand Comfort, reupholstered: http://idisk.me.com/stefanbovien/public/interior1.jpg I'm more than happy with them. Good mix of comfort for long drives and support for track driving.
