  1. wow dude, do you have time to put the kettle on and make a brew before that comes on boost? I bet it's interesting when it does tho

I like Lilly Allen and her music.
  3. spent soo many hours playing Goldeneye. We always used have a Goldeneye night round mine and my bros house every week. We even got some large bits of cardboard taped to the TV to seperate each persons section so nobody else could see it lol Many a swearword was uttered through those evenings.

I can't stand her and the attempt at having really common accent
  5. Some of the earlier ones came with a viscous diff but unfortunately mine is just an open diff at the mo. This is a bit of a pain in the arse when trying to provoke it sideways as once you get it going from doing a 'scandinavian flick' and put your foot down to get the rear wheels spinning just one wheel spins and the other 'freewheels' and pulls the car straight again.
  6. Fitted Tein Superstreets, H&R antiroll bars, Stainless exhaust and decat, Blitz air filter. Removed all carpets and looking for other weighty things to remove. I've just ordered some new 15' rotas and I'm after a Kaaz diff. I'm also debating the early Rx7 air flow meter mod but I want ITB's in the long run.
  7. I bought one in May as runabout and I absolutely love it. I've had many different perfomance cars and I think this is easily up there as one of the best for fun factor. I'm spending more money on it nowadays than I do on the Supra. Throttle bodies here I come
  8. women and their untrained eyes lol
  9. actually that's not being fair of me. They don't look better than each other.
  10. Errr... The 360 looks worse to me lol
  11. ok, I've just been and done a comparison between an Xbox 360 and a PS3 and I've concluded that you are talking utter drivel. The games I tested were Test drive on the 360 and the Gran Turismo demo on the PS3. Both were done on my sony bravia to make it fair and both were running at the same time, just changing the channels between the two. The Test drive game I found did have 'jagged' lines as you put it, as noticeable if not worse than those on the PS3 GT. The colours on GT were also much better and brigther than those on Test drive. This is not a 'diss' of the Test drive as I thought and still do think it is a very good game. I will now have go on a few more games. I just wish I had a copy of rainbow six on the PS3 so I can do a comparison against my 360 version.
  12. seriously it isn't at all as bad as you make out. Maybe sony should make everything look soft and foggy like the 360 does
  13. It's alright, i use my PC for gaming as they're much better.
  14. the online DVD rental is fantastic. You pay about £14 a month and they'll send you 3 discs at a time from your list you compile on the internet. once you watch a disc, pop it in the post and a few days later you'll get another one. You can watch it at your own pace. Whats also good is that you don't have to buy a whole series. I mean i love 24, lost etc but once I've watched it once I wont ever watch it again.
  15. Honestly, the PS3 upscaler (for DVD's not games) is very good. There isn't much more of a difference than that and Blu ray
  16. So an upscaled input form an upscaling dvd player of 1080p is going to be much much better than anything a TV inbuilt upscaler is going to do?
  17. As far as I was aware you need a HDMI cable connection for 1080p which the 360 doesn't have. The 360 elite is apparently coming out with HDMI
  18. Sorry I still disagree. I have 1080p bravia and if I played a standard DVD in a standard DVD player it will not upscale itself to a 1080 level and I doudbt it would even do 720p. If I use the upscaling DVD player the TV automatically switches it's resolution to 1080p. What you are saying is that things like SKY HD TV are not relevant as a new TVs will 'upscale' a standard SKY transmission up to this level.
  19. To be honest I didn't think it worked like that. You can't send a 420 signal to the TV and expect it to upscale it to 1080p hence the Xbox 360 maximum output as 1080i. And now they are releasing the 360 elite with HDMI output for 1080p. As for DVD's the falling down point will always be the standard player as they are only required to produce a 420 signal, however the information on the DVD itself is capable of much higher bringing the need for the upscaler. It's kinda like the DTS on the sound system. If you have the a DTS compatible amp on it's own, you won't get the DTS sound. You'd need the DTS compatible player aswell.
  20. No, I'm talking about DVD's and you won't get much of a benefit from just a HDTV without a upscaling DVD player as the information sent from the standard DVD player is of lower quality.
  21. I have a TV but it's only used for DVD's and playing games. I stayed with a friend for a while a few years back and he couldn't afford a TV license so it was never plugged. I got used to it quite quickly and now I won't pay for one either as it isn't even tuned in. Haven't watched TV for 4 years now. I don't have enough time as it is without wasting it watching rubbish that I don't really give a toss about. I use the online DVD rental to watch series I like such as Prison break, CSI etc. I have to wait longer than everybody else but then i get to watch it in one go rather 6 months.
  22. I deffo saw a difference with the upscaler but I've got it running on 1080p so that might be why.
  23. at the moment for games the 360 but the PS3 is a whole lot better and comes with Blu Ray and upscaler. Just give it time for the games to appear. Shouldn't be too long now
  24. Cable

    forza 2 is crap

most definately with the added benefit of upscaling them to a much higher quality than a standard DVD player (if you've got the TV for it). Not far off the quality of blue ray.
