  1. Never mind I'm out, they don't rebuild R154's anymore, anyone know any good companies for an R154?
  2. What sort of prices have you been getting for postage?
  3. If someone wants to buy it but doesn't need the idle valve then I'll take the valve
  4. Do you know what size fittings the the dampener pipe is? And what make all of the braided hoses are? Were any leaking?
  5. Hi guys, I don't suppose anyone has the tools needed to do a cambelt change that I could borrow? I've got a huge impact gun I just need the lock up tools and pulley remover, would be massively appreciated.
  6. Hey guys, I know it's not technically to do with a mkiv but I know some people dabble with other cars, I don't suppose any one has or knows of a good condition 7M-GTE cps?
  7. It's on an engine stand, so just plug the holes with some clean rags and tie a tarpaulin over it? Worth spraying some sort of oil or something over the cams or not?
  8. No rain can't actually hit the engine itself, was just thinking more along the lines of with the weather getting colder now if it started freezing or condensation settling into the cams themselves, didn't want anything to start rusting etc It's an open front barn, but the engine is right at the back so rain can't actually hit the engine but it can drive in with the wind so I'd imagine there's certainly damp air etc
  9. Hey guys, I've been doing abit of googling but couldn't really find much, so sorry if it's a stupid question. I'll be removing my manifolds and cam covers to send away for polishing and coating, what's the best way to protect the engine during the following 3 weeks? The engine is stored in an open barn so it's quite cold and I was worried about moisture, would simply taping the holes in the head suffice? What about the cam covers? Someone suggested wrapping the engine in some sort of pallet wrap to keep moisture out
  10. Hey guys, I'm a little unsure which route to go with this Supra I have, I bought Bandicoots old Aerotop and my original plan was to take the NA-T engine from it and then refit my NA engine and W58, MOT it and sell it as NA manual Aerotop. However I get a lot of requests for the shell, now I'm all for helping a fellow member out with an Aerotop rolling shell for a project but I'm unsure which route is personally best in terms of financially, obviously I don't want to end up with less if I break it, usually it seems to be more rewarding breaking a car but is that true with an Aerotop given how rarely they come up for sale? Especially converted manual ones. A bit of info about the car, it was recently undersealed the underneath doesn't have a spot of rust on it, suspension components are in great shape, 4 pot front calipers, 2 pot rear calipers, TS carbon bonnet, engine and gearbox that will be in it has covered approximately 75,000 miles, aftermarket exhaust, Dare 18" alloys, last years MOT had 0 advisories, aftermarket steering wheel, some sort of body kit (unsure which), smoothed rear hatch, few other bits and pieces that I'm forgetting off the top of my head right now. So what would you guys value the car as... - Complete car, MOT'd ready to go? - Shell with no bonnet, side skirts, bumpers, seats, wheels, brakes, carpets, lights, engine or gearbox?
  11. Masterfett - It varies tbh, I head to work about 6am then drive back between 1-3ish. Rodge - Yeah that's it buddy, I believe you've met my brother a few times and also Alex says his knows you, this is what I messaged you on Facebook about the other day. Listy - Well this seems like a good excuse Give the Supra a run out, come have some bacon sarnies and ice creams and fiddle with some cars. So it seems like we can put together a crack team of us for this, we should be able to pull it off lads? If we label the looms up beforehand then the rest of it 'should' be nuts and bolts, and if we get stuck with anything we can just phone Bandicoot to see where it goes.
  12. I drive down the Cullompton road everyday and a few friends have asked if it was me at times I was at home so maybe it's you they've been seeing, both L reg black Supra's, small world.
  13. Oh really Masterfett, where you from? PM me if you don't want to say in public. Listy that's awesome thanks, yeah I mean we could certainly use the ramps, I do all the time with my car but I'm not sure length wise as obviously their customers come first but we could certainly do all the little bits outside in the lock up then roll it in and do the main lift out and lift in on the ramps, although if it's a Sunday they're pretty dead so we could probably use it all day. Are you nearby Listy?
  14. Awesome cheers guys, was just getting some sort of idea of any interest before going into the whole thing. So yeah it'll be a na-t engine into my car then my engine and gearbox into an aerotop shell. For anyone who knows bandicoots old aerotop, it's the engine from that. The first priority is to get my na engine and w58 into the aerotop so that I can get that sold as I'm having people bombard me with messages to buy it then we can tackle the na-t engine into mine. Location wise I have 3 potential options, first one is sort of a fenced off yard within my brothers work with enough room to work in easily, the bonus with this is that yes there is a garage next door with 5 ramps and access to air lines and air tools, however we could only probably use the ramps for a few hours at a time as they'll be needing to use them as well, I'll attach a picture of this location. This is in Exmouth. The second would be my works car park with is absolutely massive and dead flat (just been resurfaced) located on a farm which is about 6 miles from Honiton in a place called Payhembury. The third would be a barn about 5 miles from Honiton in a place called Shute. This also has a garage with 1 ramp on site but this is through a friend of a friend so not too sure how much if at all we could use the ramp, but would have access to other garage tools. And yes I will purchase food and free coffees Also forgot to add that yeah I'll either rent or buy an engine crane.
  15. Hey guys, I'm just wondering if there would be any members around the Devon area that could help me with an engine swap. I'm semi confident with it and mechanical minded but would feel more relaxed with a bit of knowledge and experience alongside me. The 2 cars will be side by side so we can literally go straight out of one and into the other. I can provide tools etc and an area to do it or I can bring the cars to you if that would be easier. I would massively appreciate it and it would help me out so much. Thanks
  16. Hmm well it is going to be rebuilt with lowered compression
  17. Anyone know if this would be suitable for an na-t? I think .68 will fit under the NA intake
  18. It can run with 6, the stock position injector ports make it function just like any other plenum, the other ports can remain closed. The Sard fuel rail with 6 x 550cc injectors is available for £200
  19. Just thought I'd add that it's not Pulley that owns it anymore just incase people start bombing him with pm's
  20. When I spoke to him about it he wanted £400 for the intake or £500 for the intake and the throttle body
  21. This intake is actually for sale at the moment if you want to cheat and buy it
  22. Yeah so these definitely are welded from behind, damn was thinking it would be easier to refurb myself if I could split them
  23. Hey guys, Sorry I did do a search and found a couple of related threads but no real clear instructions and the link on one of the threads isn't valid anymore. Does anyone have any clear instructions on what to do when it throws up the brake light warning symbol after you've switched from pre to facelift rear lights? Seems some people have this issue and some don't. Cheers guys
  24. Thanks DNK, I think the best thing to do then is whip one of mine off tomorrow and see if it has the same weld as those pictures
