  6. Cheers guys for the compliments, yeah im probably like everyone else on here keeping there ride nice and polished up. It took me some time to find a nice one,i was originally gonna go for the tt but i couldent find a nice one at the time for my budget. anyhow the engine is a nice project for me to do,i have spent last 4 weekends prepping and getting all the rear end sorted ie:lsd, prop, transmission, half shafts etc and its all fell into place now, hopefully this should be finished soon. As for the 5 speed box question....well it seems like the 6spd box costs a fortune nowadays....Hmm..no but im really interested getting the 5 speed in this motor more for my own achievements,i dont thinnk there are too many people who have done this over here,i know some of the japs have the 5 speed setups in the 2jzgte motor and there supposed to be good fun. I imagine the 6spd's also to be good fun but i cannot get the top speed out my n/a nowadays without being a paranoid wreck looking out for cars with more than 1 antenna if you know what i mean, just had a 99.6mph ticket over 0.9 mile.......what a waste.. andy
  7. Hi anyone out there interested in a very good condition Fidaza Billet alluminium flywheel (lightend and balanced)and an XTD stage 3 Clutch system for the mk4 supra N/a,Its a very nice setup and i have used the clutch for aprox 2 months,im in the process of swapping the 2jzgte motor and the parts will be available shortly, clutch is off the motor now and i just need to remove the flywheel, both are in vgc and not abused, both items cost me over 500 quid to buy new and im looking for new ones for my tt. pm me if ur interested. andy
  8. Hi thanks for all your replies, im from ripley near derby. I have a gunmetal grey n/a supra, just in the finishing stages of a 2jzgte tt conversion, Ive had my mk4 for about 3 years and decided it was time to beef her up by doing the engine transplant and using a 5 speed manual box instead of the stock 6 speed box. hoping to find some friends on here with the same interests, parts swaping etc. anyone out there local to me..? too bad my beast wont be completed for the santa pod jap show on oct 8th but i would like to have a chin wag with anyone who may be going down to pod. heres some pics of my ride hope youll like the finished project...? cheers to everyone andy
  9. Heres the pics of the r154 in a jza80 with 2jzgte engine,do it yourself, would cost you about £200 but you will need to source a w58 bell housing. if youve got a 5 speed manual n/a then you will alredy have one cheers andy
  10. hi vicki, if you wanna sell the active spoiler,i would be happy to take it off your hands,im in ripley area so i could even help you with this if you need the help... drop me a pm..andy

  12. Hi bromy, Yeah they do thats right, just want to know if you had seen one? here you are, have a laugh at this support they sent someone, supposed to be high tech replacement cost around £1200,as you can see a Bit of 2x2" box section steel with 4" lips on each end and a 7x4" plate welded on to hold the tranny bush, dont quote me please on the dims...But youll get the 1 piece prop shaft too! Im no expert by any means but you can make the same for about 5 quid and a bit of solder..lol a proper driveshaft company just did mine for £150,i provided both ends and the measurments that was it,24 hr service. hope the pics come in usefull....
  13. Hi, i purchased the engine, harness and ecu from a company in the states who deals imports from japan, I know these guys very well and they assured me the ecu i have got comes specifically for 5 speed in japan. I also meant to say the "Later jdm engine" in my initial statement so thanks for picking that one up m8, Meaning " To stay away from the later ones with tiptronic gearshift setup" As i understand there are a couple of ways to get the 5 speed box into the jza 80 with a 2jzgte lump, Appart from just using the W58 tranny, You can even run a 1JZgte Transmission from the mk3 supra (R154) which has the same mountings to a jza80 chassis, all you would require is the W58 bell housing to match with the 2jzgte. Infact there are Aristo's in japan with the 2jzgte engine and believe it or not they are 5 speed.....Ive just looked at a picture of one and the ecu looks exactly the same as the one i purchased with the engine....well you learn something new every day. ,so i do not think the ecu is a mapped N/a one, more like it is from an aristo, just to add the Aristo runs the R154 tranny from a mk3 supra. hope this helps andy
  14. Firstly engine was purchased in japan but has been shipped over here by a company i deal with in the u/s, This came with a Twin Turbo loom and 5 speed ecu,so installing the loom etc is no problem, the W58 transmission bolts straight onto this engine with no problems as some of the jap guys have alrady done this for drifting cars because of the difference in gear ratio, slightly better for the tracks where they are situated???,The only thing is that there is a restriction as to how much power you can put through these transmissions if i remember its around 500-550bhp where as the V16x box holds in access of 1000 bhp. All they do is remap the ecu with a better configuration which will better suit the Twin turbo engine so it is not keeping the standard oem settings. As for the N/a ecu i dunno whether it is the same ecu because i have both of them here and they look different and have different part numbers, I will post pics on here and you can make up ur own mind but i wont be using a N/a ecu config thats for sure. Thanks for your post

  16. hi, i would like to know the same if anyone has completed this task without setting it off,i did hear that you have to disconnect it and leave if for a while to loose its charge else it will still be live.....? anyone got any answers?
  17. sorry forgot also to include the clutch part in my first quote " Twin turbo clutch and flywheel although you can use the n/a stock flywheel the clutch is a must "which means you made 2 comments and failed to read my initial document, sorry m8 but read the details first before you make yourself look silly.......trust me it isnt hard, with the right know how and some crucial bits you have yourself a near as damit tt from n/a with aprox £2000,obviously doing all the work yourself.Good tt's are hard to find around the midlands so i chose a nice N/a and decided to upgrade.
  18. sounds like you failed to read at the top m8.....2jzgte engine not jdm with all harness and 5 speed manual ecu
  19. I just undid the lower bolts by removing the undertray, make sure the front is on ramps to get underneath the car,the two bottom two are visible,if you right underneath you should be able to get a socket on the upper ones too.... then just jack the front of the engine up,with a block of wood, not on the sump but at the very front where the fan hangs over,on the engine casing, sorry you may need to slightly undo the 4 transmission bolt mounts to give you a bit more play... jobs a good un took about 2hrs. have you got a popping sound on take off......?????
  20. Hi, I have a supra N/a.just in the middle of the conversion myself and its not that much hastle if you can find the bits or have a large pocket....?buying from toyota dealers. some bits are different but if you can find: 2jzgte engine not jdm with all harness and 5 speed manual ecu you can use the w58 transmission of the n/a rear subframe is slightly different but you can use the n/a one just need to buy the right hand side bush for the lsd also you will require a twin turbo lsd twin turbo prop shaft - you will need the end off your old propshaft which goes into the w58 tranny and get this swapped by a drive shaft company- fits great. twin turbo rear drive axles using your n/a rear hubs as they are the same as tt. Twin turbo clutch and flywheel although you can use the n/a stock flywheel the clutch is a must. thats about it,as for getting it in,then think about getting some tt front brake setup, air box or induction kit and fuel pump and better intercooler. power steering pump, aircon etc all the same as the n/a. Brake master cylinder slightly better aswell on tt. andy
  21. Hi, I have some rear ones sitting around,Theyre prety much brand new, could you tell me what diameter yours are as im not sure if they will fit the n/a,they were purchased and never actually got used in my conversion as i ended up using cross drilled disks, they look the same size as the n/a ones tho. let me know what you wanna pay. andy
