Nice one. I joined the gym last October, as my girlfriend wanted me to do the Great North Run with her this year. So I was running at the gym, never much more than 6/7Km, and doing that about 3times a week. Didn't see any great weight loss, but felt generally fitter. Once it got to within 14weeks of the Great North Run I started working a lot harder, following a training program, and lost about a stone, down to about 12.5st.
Just ran the Great North Run on Sunday (having never run more than 8miles until that day) in 1hour 47mins and 43seconds.
I've been eating like a fat b*stard since though!
