    Hub Removal

Whats the difference of hitting it with a ball pein hammer and just a hammer?
  2. I have changed the front hubs over. I am now trying to swap the rears over to add the abs sensor. I have undone all bolts and am down to the last ball joint. I can not remove this for love nor money. I have tried forked ball joint remover, scissor type ball joint remover hitting the ball joint on the side. Non of these techniques have realesed it. The drive shaft is loose as well so it is only the last ball joint holding the hub on. http://s3.postimage.org/1k9hm451g/IMAG0017.jpg Am i missing something? Is there a different technique to remove the bottom side??
  3. I will take this, send payment details
  4. Does any one know roughly the bhp at the fly wheel of a uk bpu TT auto and also the rear wheel bhp running at 1.3 bar
  5. How much for the racelogic control unit? And pics when u ready
  6. Would the driveshaft on a na without abs be different then to a tt? Surely that Wud cost Toyota to much to do that. How do I find if I have this ring?
  7. Take it that means I need to change the driveshaft then? What about the front hubs?
  8. Anyone built there own trackers to add to the supra? I was looking at a few sites was wondering what peoples thoughts are http://www.locatea.net/ http://www.atmguard.com/papers/UK%20tracking.pdf
  9. I am swopping my hubs over to fit hubs with the abs sensor to use with rltc. A friend has said the rear hubs wont work on there own. He said the driveshaft needs to be changed as well as this would have the other sensor on. Is this correct??
  10. Was it a main high street, certainly Wud check to see if there cctv in area? If so then I Wud report to police. It Wud be assault and criminal damage. Don't see they sud get away with. It.
  11. Yes if it is declared off rd ie SORN no insurance is required. No mention of SORN and insurance requirement was made. If it is taxed you know are legally required to have insurance. Before you could have tax but no insurance if kept on your drive way. You cant buy roadtax without insurance but you can have road tax without insurance. i.e: Previously i cancelled my insurance as i was not driving the car. I left it taxed for a couple of months as i did not want the hassle of sending the tax disc back. Under new laws government are trying to pass this would be an offence. If it was set law they wouldnt be trying to pass new laws for it.
  12. Well i got 3 days this month then hopefully a little longer when i next at my parents. Think the possible respray will take the most time
  13. And when u pay insurance what is also paid? TAX. This government is trying to pass a law that all vehicles whether on rd/driveway or garage must be insured. Its to try and help cut out uninsured drivers. They hoping to pass it in spring time. This seems to suggest its already passed but dont think it has http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/whats_new_feb11_all_vehicles_kept_off-road_must_be_insured.htm http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/news/6195021/Owners-of-uninsured-cars-face-new-fines-under-new-Government-curbs.html
  14. I would be careful of doing that. My insurance company caught me out and didnt give me the extra yrs ncb i thought i had earnt.
  15. Not sure a stud extractor tool would work, thanks for the offer. Cant get a socket set over the top to so think file and down the sides and a big heat source to try and loosen the nut. Im just waiting to hear from Jagman as to whether he still has the RLTC for sale, but once wired in i will certainly pm for setup files. Not sure the gf is gonna be to happy as we have a week off and i want to spend it playing on the car. Think i could get away with 3 days??
  16. Think attempting to respray the bonnet is making me nervous. If it goes well im hoping to do the rest of the car. Also fitting the traction control and setting up i think may be a little bit of a challenge. Hoping Jagman is supplying rltc and hoping it will have the files set up already. I have planned to do it over the next 3 months so have a while to organise and plan. Think remembering where all the nuts and bolts go to could be interesting Also one of the nuts on the rear hub has rounded so think trying to remove that could be interesting
  17. Exactly, just another tax to pay. and if you dont pay it u will be fined. You refuse to pay that ur car can be towed. Like to see them get the car out of my electric garage door and electric gates to the house. Oh and a 100lb dog that patrols the garden
  18. I have started putting the supra back together and thought i would post some pics and also to show the state of it lol http://s3.postimage.org/1bcbrfh38/168308_10150135795170908_525725907_7961392_21629.jpg http://s3.postimage.org/1bd5j3pz8/179806_10150135795015908_525725907_7961389_54152.jpg http://s3.postimage.org/1bdc593yc/181726_10150135794905908_525725907_7961386_72694.jpg New hubs fitted for RTLC to be added http://s3.postimage.org/1bdm2h6x0/181781_10150135795235908_525725907_7961394_20520.jpg Showing the refurbed wheels http://s3.postimage.org/1bdvzp9vo/180332_10150135795520908_525725907_7961405_59681.jpg Some of the rear seats recovered. http://s3.postimage.org/1be0ybbd0/180500_10150135795730908_525725907_7961412_31939.jpg Still to do Fit new seats Wire folding mirrors in Heated seats to be wired in rear hubs to be changed, Uk calipers to be fitted, black carpet fitted, roof liner, flocked dash to come back rltc to be fitted, uk bonnet to be sprayed silver, fog light conversion
  19. Dont forget about the new law coming in. If the car is sat on your drive you will be made to pay insurance whether you drive it or not.
  20. Since when was our rd tax used for the rd. We would have the smoothest rds in the world if it was. Mine has been off rd for 2 yrs now really looking forward to getting on rd in May
  21. Anyone figured out what details are needed. Think i can see the drag coeffcient is .32 weight is 3427lbs (Auto) drive train lose is 17% Anyone got any other details that are needed???
  22. think i got the outdoor version of that one and i think its brilliant. fits on the supra has straps to hold it in place. I have tried a few and always found they never fitted due to the spoiler
