  1. Wow, the bullshit hadn't changed in the last 10 years. Always selling for someone else and can be shipped and examined, after you have sent the money....FFS..!!
  2. High Wycombe = Worry Lying Seller = Worry Jaguar XF = Worry Time to walk away and find a guy who has owned the car for a while and has FSH. H.
  3. I wouldn't ignore it Graham as that looks like ignorance. I would just write to them stating your case and ask them a shit load of questions that will make them need to do research. H.
  4. Graham, ask them to prove that the signage is adequate and claim you didn't see any signs when you were there. They won't be bothered taking photographs of every sign and showing a plan and will bin the ticket. Also ask them to prove if there has been any changes to the size or quantity of signs since your visit as you are unable to prove otherwise if they have changed anything. I had this with the Runcorn toll earlier in the year and won. If this is in addition to your argument about the camera not picking you up twice, then I doubt it will go any further. Don't say that the other two people are "friends" as they won't believe you, especially if they read your posts on here. H.
  5. That looks all stainless to me. Loved the RS-R on mine. Fabulous noise from tick over to full chat. This won't hang around surely, I paid about £250 7 years ago. H.
  6. If you can prove that you pay nothing towards the maintenance of your kids, live in a big house and have a face that is too big for your head, I will believe you are the real deal...!!
  7. I see what you did there..!!
  8. I magine it is so that people who's memberships have expired, can't use the screenshot to claim discounts. Anyway, this isn't a proper club. It hasn't been, since it went downhill...!! H.
  9. Make sure you do some research on the reliability of the E89 Z4. They seem to be quite problematic compared the model it replaced. Oh Mike, we could have been twinnies..!! To be fair, I can wait, but the manual option is a must. Otherwise it's a 911, Cayman GT4 or Mustang next.
  10. Havard

    Poor Carl

    Taxi for Gaz..!!
  11. I remember you buying that Lockie. Lovely car and a gearbox as tight as they day it was new. Only car related thing I have done and wished I hadn't was reversing my Supra into my 7 month old Audi A4. The Audi was a mess..!! H.
  12. I am sorry but I would have kicked him to death. Why would you climb over someones car like that? It's just like going round their house and smashing the windows. Your actions are causing damage and costing the owner money. H.
  13. Try Lynbrook. I couldn't believe the quotes they came up with, considering the cover they offer, great value. H.
  14. Only half heartedly, looking for opportunities to take the piss.... True. Even better for those that did. I remember being really curious about certain folk and they didn't disappoint, besides Burna maybe. See above....
  15. It's in jest Al. I think about 100 posts in 3 years, could be classed as being away. I am not sure when the "golden years" were. I loved 2007 - 2010, some proper banter and arguments. You are never going to get loads of people together and them all get on. As long as it is kept civil, that is the best you can hope for. I have no regrets about joining this group and the friends made far outweigh the number of tossers I have encountered. H.
  16. They add a quality and humour that has been somewhat lacking in the past few years. This place went massively downhill once I left. There, I said it..!! H.
  17. As I said in my previous post. It will either look like the FT-1 or they have really trodden on their cocks. Nothing worse than hype, then disappointment. They would have been better of just launching it without all the smoke and mirrors. There is a lot of competition in this bracket so they need to get it right. H.
  18. Price and gearbox will be a big consideration. If you want a fairly modern car, manual box and 350 - 400Hp, there aren't a lot of options. This is how I ended up with a Z4M (343Hp) and a Cayman S (325 Hp). Both cars are a hoot to drive and I find them a lot more fun than my Supras were, that said, they are smaller, lighter and 6 Cylinder, NA. Keeping away from anything "chavvy", you are looking at Jag F type, but limited to 380Hp manual in a heavy car. The 450Hp is auto only. Lotus Evora, Porsche 997 or 991, Aston Vantage. E92 M3 etc. Manual gearboxes are not that easy to find these days. I can't think of many others that are appealing. Mustang? 370Z Nismo? H.
  19. Yep. I had 4k posts before I bought my first car. I fell in love with this place with some great characters and to be fair, it was my first "forum" where I could chat and take the piss. Considering I haven't been on here much in the last 3 years, 32k posts is a bit mental. H.
  20. I keep saying. If it looks like the FT-1 and can be knocking out around 400Hp, I will get one. I think after what happened with the GT86 launch, they put up all these pretty pictures and then eventually put out something terribly average looking and under powered. I have a feeling this will happen again and I for one will lose faith with Toyota's approach to retaining, dyed in the wool supporters. Let's face it, the replacement for the MKIV is probably about 5 -10 years overdue. I really hope this is not the case and they follow through with the hopes that they have raised. H.
